Bizim Dama

Genel olarak Türk daması olarak bilinen Türkiye'de oynanan dama oyunudur. Şu an için aynı telefonda karşılıklı oynanması tamamlanmıştır. Bluetooth ile karşılıklı oynanması için çalışmalar devam etmektedir.

Oynayış

64 kareden oluşan 8x8 bir tahta üzerinde 16'sı siyah, 16'sı beyaz olarak 32 taş ile oynanır. İkinci ve üçüncü sıraya beyaz taşlar, altıncı ve yedinci sıraya siyah taşlar dizilir ve oyuna beyaz taraf başlar. Taşlar, klasik damanın aksine çapraz hareket etmez, komşu kareler boş ise sağa, sola ve ileri hareket edebilir fakat geri gidemez. Bütün taşların amacı en ileri sıradaki kareye ulaşıp "dama" olmaktır. Dama olarak güçlenen taş geri hareket kabiliyeti kazanır, ayrıca karşı tarafın bir veya birkaç taşını almak şartıyla birden fazla karede L şeklinde hareket edebilir. Taşlar arasında en kıymetli taş dama olarak adlandırılan bu taştır. Damaya ulaşamamış taşlar "yoz" olarak adlandırılır. Oyuncu, yerinden kaldırdığı taşı oynamak zorundadır, asla hamlesinden vazgeçemez.
Her iki taraf da; rakibin taşını alma imkânı varsa bunu ilk hamlesinde yapmak zorundadır.
Birkaç yönde taş alma durumunda çok olan taşları almak mecburidir.

1889 yılında Kitapçı Harekil Efendi iki dama risalesi yayımlamıştır. Beyazıt Devlet kütüphanesi'nde bulunan bu eserde dönemin ünlü damacılarının oyunlarına yer verilmiştir. Eserde; Ethem Bey, Derviş Hampar, Nadir Molla, Halil Paşa, Şakir Baba ve İbrahim Bey'in ünlü oyunları anlatılmaktadır.
