Scalextric ARC

Updated app works really well. It appears it crashes on some people but its not crashed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab E yet

As the title says this app now continually crashes as it gets to the "Mode select/Let's race" screen, and there's no mention in the the release notes as to why this now requires access to the device location.

Just crashes after update. Re installed but still crates after mode screen. Can I get a refund for my son's present as it no longer works??

Update completely broken. Keeps crashing out with "Unfortunately, Scalextric ARC has stopped". Tried on multiple devices. Absolutely rubbish and not fit for purpose. Seriously tempted to sell all my collection. I fear Scalextric/Hornby are not long for this world. Failing to keep up with technology/times.

Awesome. Some glitches when you start a race, but that doesn't affect anything.

Crashes 15 out of 16 times. When it crashes its always immediately after showing "Let's Race" Galaxy S6 Android 6.0.1

How is it possible that hornby have managed to mess this up so badly? Tracks work perfectly with a normal power pack but fail every time with the arc set up. Utter rubbish. Tells me there are power issues. Nope just ARC issues. App is terrible too. Massive waste of money.

Updated review: 1.3v works after multiple uninstall/reinstall actions on Moto G gen 3 with Android 5.1. Key functions work like lap counting, timing, tournament mode with heats, Grand Prix, Endurance, and practice. Practice mode with one driver is now broken (I used it in 1.2). The driver name list now remains saved with option to check in/out drivers as needed. Adding parts to the garage is now broken unless they're part of a set. Adding photos remains cumbersome. Appearance changed, it's less exciting.

In theory, this app is awesome. In reality, it only goes with the specific requirements of your device. I'm running more recent and the app crashes over and over again. Anything more than a quick race and it crashes. I can only add the track set during setup and no more (I've got two full sets and two extension sets with about 9 cars). What makes it rate 3 stars for me is the Bluetooth keeps dropping mid race and will not reconnect without dumping cache or doing a full reinstall of the app.

Just crashes can't get this app working on any device. Very disappointed. Lost all faith in scalextric

Working better than in previous reviews. I've had no issues running different sorts of races. Only issues with crashing are when opening the app and when adding pictures for setting up your own cars. Finding it great fun and once the bugs are sorted it will be great.

The app crashes more than a car taking a corner too fast. Yet to get it to 'race' in any mode. Practice is OK, but then I've only had this for one day. When the app crashes then it is virtually impossible to get it to restart. If you're reading this then you have already brought the set. My real rant should be on other social media to stop people from spending their hard earned money on this before having to download this Primary School effort of an App.

I had high hopes with this set,combining a new element of tech would be great,but it looks as if you guys have dropped the support for this product although it's still being sold.... I just dont get how a company that makes dreams comes true would allow such disappointment to such a keen/loyal fan base!

Got the air track Xmas day ,was working fine until day after boxing day.started app and it loaded fine until we picked a quick race then app crashed and now keeps crashing even after a reinstall. .......... Update...................Now I have the app working again my phone keeps telling me that the app is using a lot of battery power even after the app is closed. Also now every time I turn the app on it will not connect to Bluetooth on the track until I reboot my phone and restart app

Seriously, scalextrics sort this out, seems ARC has a limited scope of operation, total hit or miss if it works, add Samsung J5 too the massive list of incompatible devices, along with the other 2 devices i have which it was supposed to work with, what a scam, brought ARC solely too have this feature

Works great now on Asus ZenFone 2 (lollipop Android 5, quad 2.3GHz 4gb ram) not crashed once since last update (unfortunately the same can't be said for my Scalextrics cars). Great fun and brings extra enjoyment to racing plus the kids love it.

Arc app not working if it is not fixed soon i will not recomend ever to any one. Got Note4 and Galaxy S4. Followed some advice here got the app running but cant start any race. Waste of money

Shame you can't add things to my collection

I found that if you turn off Bluetooth and press no when prompted to turn on Bluetooth by the app, the app will open and stay open, and then turn Bluetooth on once the app is running all works as it should. Also don't connect to the set through Bluetooth settings let the app connect for you.

Very bad, very poor show. How can I play Scalextric ARC with an app that doesn't work!!! Complete joke and complete waste of money I have paid for my son's scalextric.

Great when it works but crashes on Android 6.0. makes the entire set pretty useless.

May have thought twice about purchasing Arc One if I'd known some app features were only compatible with the Arc Air or Arc Pro. I'm assuming anyway due to only some features on mine working :-/

Great idea but needs sorting cos I can't share results to face book Sort out few issues and this could really catch on

1.Track builder in the app, with a matching database that records race results.... 2.Menu customisation, to remove UN wanted sets....able to remove unwanted tracks etc.....3. Series of races with car/ driver rotation with point score at end and fastest lap etc. If it can't be done for free make it a paid app version that will compete with the other 3rd party apps that we currently use for the advanced digital powebase

Wow wow wow wow

I wanted to use it with a nexus 7 tablet (2012) but the tablet isn't compatible. I then tried it with a Sony Xperia E4 phone and it works without any problems.

Despite the Tab A exceeding the spec mentioned (with Android 5 and Bluetooth 4) doesn't work at all. Can't pair with ARC powerbase. Disappointed.

Would not work on my S5 with android 5.0. Downgraded back to 4.4.2 and appears to now work. Not tested with hardware yet though.

It used to work fine on Galaxy S4 but since the last update it won't load past the opening screen. It's been awhile and is still not fixed. C ' mon guys!

Crashes on start up fix or its useless scaletrix bought arc one because of the app functionality fix or I've wasted my money. Installed on HTC one M7 and Samsung Tab 4 does not work on either both in compatible list come on Scaletrix how about a reply.
