Contract / Shanghai Rummy Free

I'm very happy to finally find a version of this game. I've been playing for years. The only changes I'd suggest is that standard start hand is 13 cards (never changes through game). Also I've always played with the rule that you MUST complete a contract before moving onto the next one, meaning that different players can be working on different contracts.

Happy I found this game. My family has played for years. However, there is one glitch. I will have at least one buy left, and after i discard it is like the game skips. It flies through the discards and I will briefly see a card I want, but I don't get the opportunity to buy it and it doest get picked up. Makes me sad to miss out. Can you fix, please? Still love the game.

Have played a version of this game for years. Glad to have found the version I can play on my phone. Only problem I'm having is it freezes up sometimes. Thank you

Would love a "begin contract" button. Sometimes you don't have time to map out your hand before the computer discards. Other than that...great game!

I go from 1 star up to 5 star if you fix the "timer way too fast" issue. On Nexus 6 with most recent stock Android the timer lasts maybe 1.5 seconds - way too fast to make a reasonable decision. IMHO there should be no timer at all - make me tap a button to "continue" after each discard. As currently implemented the game is nearly unplayable. This one change would make this game go from frustrating to super delightful.

Crashes every time I try to load it.

It would be nice if the players have to play out instead of just discarding. Also would be nice to take wild cards from other players when laying down only.

Fun, but not exactly the way I learned it. Example: I never learned that you could replace a wild on someone else's meld, let alone that you can do it and then the wild card goes into your own hand.

I would have given this 5 stars, however if I have to exit the game in the middle of a game (say to answer a call or text) and then go to resume my game it resets the entire game...and the tournament mode does not work for me

Fulfill contracts to lay down and then play on your opponents contracts. My family plays a version of this that we call Michigan Rummy and it has always been one of my favorite card games. This game is pretty dang close and brings back memories of sitting around my grandma's kitchen table spending time with family❤.

I was suspicious of there being more than 2 decks. I have a screen shot of 3 ace of clubs. I do very much enjoy the game though. I play it all the time. Suggestion: at the start of a new hand, can u give a few more seconds to have time to look at your hand before you start the buying timer?

Great game just like continental rummy. The below complaints about not being able to lay more than contracted meld, the computer players stealing cards, deck being fixed are just people who do not know how to play. I win most contracts but sometimes lose as well. It is the most realistic card game I have played on an app. Only comment I agree with is being able to arrange hand how I want, not only by suit or number.

I couldn't create my sets/runs so I kept losing. Read and reread instructions that's the one thing missing.

The rules are a bit different than the Shanghai Rummy I learned. There is one bug Ive found, but for a free program it is ignorable. It freezes when I buy a card too fast, I assume because another AI character wants to buy it too, but I was faster. I just hit the tab back button, and the game resumes as usual.

Not correct rules. Very hard to get the cards you need. Buy timer is too short. Computer always wins. Ads, ads, ads, and more ads. Uninstalling.

The game worked the first two games I played, but after that wouldn't let me lay down my melds, so unfortunately there's no way to play and win. A real shame because I was really enjoying it until it stopped working.

This is just like the actual game... Good times, good memories with the parents playing this ALL night

its pretty dang good. the best shanghai card game on the internet honestly, but the whole not laying down more than exactly is required on the same turn is frustrating. thats my only complaint really. very solid game

Addictive. Only wish it would save your status if you need to reset your phone. You have to start out from the beginning again.

would be nice if you actually call rummy on a card thrown to discard from the other players on table. also would really like the game to stop resetting to hand 1 when I hit home button to check texts, calls and emails... it kinda sucks having to start all over every time..

I love Shanghai Rummy. It's my family card game. I just wish that during the discarding the computer needs to slow down so I can gather my plans especially if I'm not the first to go. Otherwise VERY FUN!

There are supposed to be only two decks, but why was I dealt three ace of clubs? I took a picture, so I have proof. The buying time is annoying. If you are playing nonhuman players, then why bother with a timer at all? It's not like they'd complain you are taking too long. Just have a yes/no choice for buying and wait for a response.

Uses 2 deck which means 2 of each, such as 2 ace of clubs. But game will show 3 ace of clubs and if you play a suit, you will only see one card from that suit.

I love this game. Very addictive. Very exciting. I can't stop playing. I really love how simple this game is. It is fast too.

I just love this game and this version could be great however only 2 stars and I will uninstall because I have no chance in getting the cards I need. The computer opponants are rigged, and it is a shame

Excellent game. So much fun. I have wasted hours playing the tournament now.

At first I thought the computer players were to fast, but the more you play it the easier it gets! Its great if you like gin and shanghi. Im addicted! Update: i got the Samsung Galaxy s5 and cant see the menu anymore. Other than that still awesome.

A favorite game as a kid, this version is pretty spot on. Just a few things could change... I can't personalize my hand by arranging the cards to my preference and you should be able to lay more/extra of your own cards down with your original meld. Add a few more seconds to "buy" a card (at least in the larger contracts) out of turn. It's difficult to scan so quickly when holding 12+ cards, especially since the hand can't be rearranged. Still my favorite game though!

Fun game with lots of potential, but the buy timer is ridiculous. Why is there a timer at all. There isn't one when playing in real life. Not able to manually arrange cards is totally lame and makes it hard to play hands containing both sets and runs. And finally the process of laying down is ridiculous. All those taps check marks etc takes a dozen steps just to lay down your melds. Just let me tap my meld cards then tap the table

The game play is solid. Ads are unobtrusive. Bots play like decent human players. Would like the ability to use custom contracts, modify a couple of rules (like not being able to play on your own melds when you first lay down) and extend the timer to buy out of turn a hair.

I play this game with family and friends at the kitchen table, now I can play it any time I want!

Took awhile to figure out how to lay down (was not in instructions) but once I figured out that the box highlighted green when I had enough to fulfill the requirements, I was hooked!!! I'm glad I did not give up on it, thoroughly enjoying it!!

Ok, I love the game and I am so happy I have found it,, but I cannot figure out how to meld or lay down any cards at all! I am really getting frustrated and sadly may end up uninstalling it.

Very similar to real Shanghai. Fun app to try your skills.

I play on a tablet, please make option for landscape and I'll up my rating for 5/5. Awesome game, played this all my life!! Option to lay down more cards is needed too.

It's a good game, I'm obsessed!
