I like the older versions better

One of the truly FREE, entertaining games on droid. Controls are a bit clunky at times, and could use a zoom option, but there are no in app purchases or anything. I love sandbox mode, great for killing a few minutes on my lunch break or while sitting in a tree stand. Would love to see the developers expand the endgame content, or give us more missions/buildings/etc. They could offer it as a one time purchase. Overall, a fun little game, and it is truly free.

While this is essentially a The Settlers clone, it's decent enough. Like most strategy games, once you discover the tactics, you can overcome difficult scenarios. Remove Ads option doesn't work. If you take over the king's territory at the very top, you can't complete any unfinished optional campaigns.

This game needs so much improvements like adding more buildings that can produce more resources and by have a little adventure while Your waiting for the production of your resources and by unlocking the fastforward button on lvl 10 or 15 and so much more! so that townsmen 6 can beat the original townsmen. Im waiting for the improvements of the game on your future updates. ^_^

I don't like this one. They've taken Townsmen and sent it back three decades to the Pacman era. The graphics are not good and painfully small, not for the weak-sighted. The gameplay is just okay. The vertical screen concept clearly cannot, and does not work for a game like this.

Used to play this all the time on my old phone. And since this is a direct port from java, it's natural that some things don't work well with touch screen While the original townsmen has been updated for smartphone.

I love this game, it's cute and fun and challenging but not too much so. But it does delete progress you'd made, or sometimes the would disappears entirely. So long as you don't mind staying afresh sometimes, I highly recommend it.

Really wanted to like this. I've been looking for a game similar to age of empires (the old pc game) this game is rather disappointing it's not user friendly even though it's simple it's still a pain to use. And scrolling through what I want to build? This is ridiculous. The regular townsmen is soooo much better. Now just add some enemies and troops and armies to the regular townsmen game then I would pay for that! Townsmen has a much better layout and style! You can do better!! Uninstall for now...

Ok,but has 1 BIG PROBLEM: Has a settlement limit 4 (8 Townies),that makes the game boring and unplayable. MUST FIX,until the fix 3 stars

OMG HandyGames! What were you thinking!? Award-winning my ass! It's a complete rip-off of your original Townsmen! And it's full of bugs; townies just disappear, farm's grain grows and then just dies with the townie standing there complaining, farm just doesn't produce meat in Aquitaine no matter what, action Menu often appears as a square with nothing but a "0" in it on Map Overview, Fishing House construction starts but never finishes due to tools required, but no way to produce tools, etc. Disappointed.

Great game. Never played the original so idk if its better.ive downloaded this game to 4 different phones. Only so much u can do tho after upgrading and defeating the enemy.still very enjoyable but could use and expansion type update.

Loved this game for years! It was one of the first games ( after Tetris and a bubblegame) that I actually got myself and didn't come with the phone! That was a loooong time ago ! Only thing is I always run out of people...so more people please.

Not as handy as first - hold screen controls for most actions is rather a big no no. Confusing somewhat with how and where one had gotten something. Innovative with task designation. Not uninstallable yet as though upgrades (from university) are frustratingly vague, building unlocking still offers welcome additions to gameplay. Interesting that soldiers etc are still unlocked despite zero enemy settings.

Its ok but the finger gets in the way pluse the graphics are very worse than the first, i belive it would be better if they would make one just like the first one but add armys and have a multiplayer option. It would be great and fun if they did that.

I don't find games I can really get in to very often and can't say there's ever been one for smartphones I would play at home but this one is that good.

This game is pretty terrible. Unclear controls that seem designed for use on a computer. How can the original be so good and this one so crappy?

Dont try this, it will just give you dissapointment. Graphics are shittier, not many buildings, map looks like my butt, and controles is bad. Dont even.

A civilization-like game with extra beautiful background music accompanied makes every player exited and addictive to it. Well played game. Hope that will come out new version of this game and FREE to dl. ^^

Im very touchy on how games preform. Im one who will give a bad rateing in the first 5 mins, if the game dont preform well. Townsmen 6, gets the five star, on everything. Especially performance.

Great time management game to play, well worth a download. Controls can be a little fiddly and quirky (buildings demolished by chance) but get past that and the game is a great time filler.

Good game needs a better variety of enemies besides just the kings men maybe add some bandits or thiefs and somemore buildings as well as a zoom button as well as a few more territories to conquer or more missions and it would be a 5 star game

Games fun and all but needs better controls, screen needs to be able to flip so you can see what the hell is going on. Gets 2 stars for now. Fix these problems and I'll give the 5 stars.

this game is fun ... kinda like a miniature Caesar IV ... building, selling, keeping townies happy ... FUN !

I expected more. Seems like it hasn't been updated for a while. On my one plus one everything is too small, no zoom, controls are almost impossible to click. Playing the game is very hard.

Amazing game but why is it so hard to get money?I like it because it is like townsmen but better!!!i know but it is true this game is far better cause it is not glitchy!Oh almost forgot how do u get sugar? Don't understand why you would change the look and controls so much. It's hard to navigate, clunky. I was so excited to see a new Townsmen but disappointed.

Ok, for starters this is an awesome game. Works offline which is totally beast. But I do have a few ideas that will make it a better game. 1- Locations. Ok as players playing this game I want things to look pretty. So we should be able to specify how many slots there are. We should be able to say where we want the woods to be. We should be able to arrange water where it is and where it goes. We should be able to decide where the quarry zones are. Next 2- Terrain. We should be able to have higher terrain,

I think I prefer the old school interface; The hand icon doesn't seem necessary - it just gets in the way. Please change it back to the square cursor like in the past games. Needs accurate tapping to select the needed button. Status Icons are rather small and the HUD is somewhat intrusive. And where's the zoom feature!?! These are the main reasons not to purchase the premium version. :-(

It's a very good game, but of course without any much good graphics, but of course one cannot expect better in a free game.

I play this game since i was maybe the second of junior high and beat em in nokia e71 and now is on android LOL very look forward for the gameplay

I used to love this game. But after getting a note 4 , the buildings are way to small. Some icons are adjusted to the screen size, but the map of the town remains small, and it's really hard to tell what's going on. It is even difficult to play the with a S pen. Please update thus game and add a pinch to zoom

Tried tooling for how to upgrade your building and did what it ask me to do but still does not work !! Even went to YouTube but so far not everybody knows.

Has very nice features. Is easy to learn, but still entertaining.
