Battle of Tallarn for Android
Yet another example of a disgusting business model. I download, open, select a campaign only to realize THEY CHARGE YOU FOR EVERY SINGLE CAMPAIGN!!! so basically the real "meat" of this game is behind several paywalls, as you pay a dollar for one campaign to be able to play as either side...Finish that campaign? Want more? Pay another dollar.
I would rate this game higher if not for the following reasons. First off the game is horribly unbalanced meaning that it is not uncommon for enemies to one shot your units through the front armor which is supposed to be the heaviest whilst it takes you sometimes 3-4 shots to even destroy one unit if you include the misses, minimal damage when striking from the sides and rear of enemy vehicles as well as no damage. Secondly the controls while easy it is not uncommon for my units to either go to the wrong hex or sometimes not be able to target enemies right in front of them don't know if it's an issue of programming or on my phone as well as putting the end turn button so close to the rotate button. Thirdly the most overpowered units in the game are by far the dreanaughts and I don't mean the contemptors or the leviaithans I mean your standard run of the mill dreadnaught, it should not be able to go toe to toe with an Imperial Knight and one shot it constantly in melee that and they seem to have this uncanny ability to soak up an insane amount of shots. Fourth and finally the inaccuracy and inconsistency of the game to include the fact enemies can attack you through the fog of war whilst you have to be virtually on top of them in order to attack them which totally negates the purpose of long ranged weaponry such as whirlwinds and conversion beamers and again makes you vulnerable to dreanaughts retard charges. As well as how it seems the Iron Warriors have woefully underpowered tanks. In fluff the Iron Warriors were a siege legion who preferred direct attacks with heavy units on enemy held positions rather than the constantly having to act like Raven Guard and outflank enemy tanks like you have to with them in this game. I really want to give this game a better rating but I simply cannot, the dry and half assed storytelling makes it a very dull and dry game which the battle was anything but. It's a good game to play if your sitting on the crapper and need to get mad in order to finish going. It is fun at times but the consistency and balance makes it short lasting.
The game is fun, no doubt, but my low rating comes from how horribly unstable it is on both my phone and my tablet! The game almost always freezes or turns the screen black every time I finish a mission.
Just like the PC version! Can continue my campaign on the phone now!
I downloaded it played it for 5 mins and wasted those 5 mins....total failure stupid game with no story or back ground..not recommended to any sane person.
Awesomness. Long live the Imperium! Don't listen to the forces of chaos giving this game bad reviews. Must have for the Warhammer or strategy game player!

This is a great 40k fix on your phone. Don't pay attention to the reviewers trahing the game because of IAPs. First off, the game is free to play, and you can get two campaigns for $1 IAP. So at most you might spend a few bucks for a fun little game. And it is fun, even if it's not perfect. Try it with an open mind and see what you think. If you enjoy 40k, sci fi strategy, or hex based wargames for your mobile, you just might really like it.
