Hero Generations

Typically I can't stand rogue-like games, but I thought the concept sounded interesting. I'm glad I took the chance! Fun mechanics, challenging, art is cartoony - in a good way. If you like rpgs and/or rogue-like games, this is for you.

Battles seem to favor the enemy far too often. For example, out of my last 20 battles, I won 5. :/ Other than that, lovely game and well worth the purchase for something unique.

I start the game and it just crashes when i pick an empty profile slot. No specific error. It just crashes. I payed money for something to crash.

I love roguelike and rpg games, but this is just too slow to like. It desperately needs to be able to skip animations and battles

Fun Game. It works well and has a great concept. The battles could be better. It is just a click of a button with no strategy to it. But over all a good game.

Hero Generations is unfortunately a miss for me. While the game has a lot of interesting ideas incorporated into it, it also has rather shallow depth in other areas which brings it down. For example, combat is essentially decided through a random number generator that essentially picks a number from 0 through 'X' - which basically means you can get really big numbers or really small numbers sometimes. You can offset this a bit with weapons, giving you some extra rolls, but no item or character gets more then 1 dice so to speak. The other thing to note is that when you restart in a new life, it resets the shroud. This can be rather annoying for a mobile game since that punishes you for not playing the game over a long period. It likely would have been better if shroud would be completely removed upon visiting it, and a fog of war was thrown in that hides information about the tile outside of just knowing what the type of tile was.

I really like this game. I found it very fun and it was just what I was looking for!

Interesting take. I like the concept and the artwork. I dont like that it sometimes based on luck.

Made a bad choice buying this when it was in beta. Developer hasn't updated it on 5 months , no way this game can represent there final vision. Much better rogue like games available. The family generation stuff was just a half baked idea . Game graphics are terrible, can't even give them a point for art style. Game is overrated. Turn away !!

Great little gem of a game

So this game has a lot going for it. It's colorful and lively, it's unique, it actually forces you to plan your every move, and it's challenging. There are a few issues I have with it though. The first is that I would like if difficulty could be adjusted or if there was a free play option with no worries of the people prophecy of doom. Second is it would also be nice if we could choose world size like civilization. Overall just more control over the game world would be great!

It's a creative design, worth a shot if you enjoy roguelikes and rpg.

Well made and a lot of fun. Very repayable. Like a super lite Crusader Kings meets Fallen Enchantress.

Just watched a whole bunch of gameplay and reviews of this game. I'm pumped it's on Android. Looks like a great mobile adapted game.
