StarLily, My Magical Unicorn

This is absolutely ridiculous! My daughter originally wanted a Hatchimal for Christmas that we couldn't find anywhere. We read the reviews on it and it wasn't too good. I then found Star Lily and the reviews were better so I spent $80 thinking she would like this way better than the Hatchimal. Boy was I wrong!!!!!!!!! All it does is move it's head, hoof, and it's horn changes colors. I just downloaded the app hoping my daughter could find more things to do with the unicorn and it doesn't even work!!!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this dumb toy OR your time downloading this dumb app!

I really don't know why I expected anything from this game.This is probably the definition of crap.Thanks a lot guys. What a peice of garbage.I got this app just to find that it won't work. PS a 9 year old is typing this. Whoever made this app really needs to FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!!

I downloaded this game on many devices and it wouldn't open. While reading comments I found one that said to try changing the permission. It did the trick. Go into your setting and find the app manager (i have a Samsung s5). Then tap permissions and turn on the microphone and storage. I re launched the app again, and it opened. I haven't tested it with the toy yet. I have no complaints about the actual toy. That's been fantastic and my unicorn obsessed 3yo is in love with it.

installed Star Lilly app on Samsung galaxy s4, s5, s6, and s7 and it won't load on any of the phones. I get a message saying that unfortunately the app has to stop and then closes. This is a new Christmas toy for my daughter and she can't use all its features. this is very disappointing, please fix asap.

This app works okay on my HTC One, but won't even open on my new phone. I was hoping Starlily would respond better with a new phone. Pretty disappointed, my 4yr old still enjoys playing the app with his unicorn. Hope this gets fixed it's one of his favorite toys.

Finally got around to setting up my daughters christmas present. The app uses alot of data and then once its installed and we try to open it. The app 'stops working' and closes. Alot of money has been put into this gift and i want it working now!!

After seeing all these complaints I wish I had thought twice about buying this ridiculously priced toy that doesn't really do anything. The fact the complaints go back to the beginning of this year I doubt an update or any chance of fixing issues is nil to none. Won't load onto 2 phones or a tablet. Don't waste your money parents I'll be taking star lily back tomorrow.

Used to work. Now nothing. I have to ask if the maker cares that all the kids still want to play with it but get uninterested when they can no longer play with their toys the way they used to. Why bother buying similar toys if the apps no longer work?

How this application made it past quality testing is beyond me. The audio is so quiet that Starlilly can't pair with it. The one time it did by chance, the audio was terrible. There are loud clicking and popping sounds that really distracted from the experience. Not to mention how disappointed my little 6 year old girl is.

It worked when we got it at Christmas it took a few tries to get starlily connected you have to place her exactly and she will connect. I hope it still works we took a break from the app and just have been playing with starlily which her by herself is awesome and worth it without the app to me. I only bought it bc my daughter loves unicorns and glitter and it moved and light up. Not for the app so we are happy either way.

Why spend over $100 on a toy with an app that doesn't even WORK? Very frustrated about this. Merry Christmas. You guys got another sucker to buy one of your crappy toys. Never again Hasbro! I've bought my LAST Hasbro toy!

I have downloaded this app multiple times and it won't even open. My daughter loves the toy itself but if you're going to make a toy that costs OVER $100 how about you take the time to debug the app that is to go with it, or you will loose all your customers. I have seen nothing but bad reviews on here. Smh. You should be ashamed

I bought this unicorn and i was a little bit concerned about the app because didn't work on my s7edge .. but here is the solution .... only works on devices with remote sensor like tablet tab 4 and up or galaxy notes.... I don't know about iPhones because i don't have one. .. but good luck!!!

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII and this product refuses to function with it even though your documentation says it does. This is a Christmas present and will be returned very quickly if not fixed!! When a little girl cries over her Christmas present not working people start posting and talking

You should have seen her face when she saw what Santa had brought her. Now you should see her face now that she has a giant expensive turd shaped like a unicorn because your app won't work on any devices. Please fix this so my daughter can have and enjoy her gift from Santa.

Don't buy a Star Lily if you want to sync with this app. The sound needed is way too quiet and no matter what we do it won't pair. VERY disappointed kids and maker claims it's the tablet that is faulty

Can't even open. Downloaded it won't go past the Hasbro screen. Uninstalled redownloaded same thing. My daughter has had the unicorn for a year and only played with it twice I thought the app would help.. Too bad ig

Disappointing that this appears to be unsupported after only 1 year. My daughter had Star Lily last Christmas but couldn't fully enjoy her as the app wouldn't connect with the toy on my old tablet. Now I have a new, supported tablet I have installed the app and it won't even open, let alone try to connect. For the price, and considering it is still on sale widely, very bad service.

I too ran into the problem with the app not starting. Being determined to get it to work, I read a ton of reviews. I eventually found one that mentioned changing the app permissions. PERMISSIONS CHANGED- PROBLEM SOLVED!! Working app & Happy girls... nailed it! ;)

So I pay a lot of money so my daughter can have a unicorn that can only flap it's wings, and move it's head and blink Then I down load the app that I cannot even open because it stops working. We need to file a class action lawsuit to get our money back. Apparently Hasbrouck doesn't even care enough to respond or correct the problem

One thing to fix... The high pitched ringing that only kids can hear. When I got Starlily she was fine, but when I got the app high pitched ringing noises were very hurtful to my friend's and my ears

If I don't play it for a while, it does the same thing fruit ninja does. So, please fix it and I will leave you a more positive review. Nina Amen, the game will probably will say it's starting a update, when it's not. It'll not load at all. So, my advice is to uninstall the game then reinstall it.

This does not even open I downloaded this app for this expensive unicorn and nothing this makes no sense. Hasbro Has To Respond this is ridiculous. And owner of this app needs to FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!

They would rather make money by marketing an "amazing interactive friend who you can communicate with", who cannot do very much without the app to accompany her than to fix the app, un-break the children's hearts who are so disappointed and save their name. Such bs. Just another money hungry company who doesn't care what the cost is to get the money. Poor kids. My daughter is heartbroken.

App does not work. My daughter just got starlily for xmas and we can't even use the app. False advertising and terrible quality. I now have a very very disappointed little girl.

Paid way too much for this toy, and my daughter saw that it had an app. So, guess what gets loaded onto mom's phone? A rather large app that will not even open...

I downloaded the app and it didn't work (would not open) and then I proceeded to read the negative reviews. Fortunately I went through them looking for a positive reviews and in it they stated go to "app permissions'. I went there, turned on the microphone permission and now the app opens. So yes, the developers need to make an update to the system at some point but for now, there's a easy enough work around.

This app is useless. Doesn't connect with Starlily. I've tried on multiple devices and none of them work. Can't expect much though, since Starlily is an Alicorn and not a Unicorn. Clearly the manufacturer has no clue about toys or apps.

My youngest daughter likes the app she wants to get the toy to connect it on my phone, unfortunately I can't find it in Canada do you even have it here? I see your reviews aren't good for it's ability to connect

Go to the settings for the app and turn the permissions on and then it should work. Thanks to others who pointed this out. I have a Galaxy S6.

This app doesn't work. It crashes after installation on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Google Pixel, Sony Xperia Z5 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. My distraught little girl only has half a Christmas present. Not good enough Hasbro.

Boy everyone you don't need to be so negative. I don't know about you but for my tablet this game doesn't crash. And you don't need to buy the unicorn to play this game. Geez be more positive, people

This is ridiculous! Extremely overpriced and in the year of 2017 they can't figure out how to get an app to work on an Droid device. Don't buy... huge waste of money.

This app used to work great right after I got it at Christmas, now it Force Closes on my daughter. This is theft. UPDATE:After clearing the data and cache, and manually going in to give her permissions on my phone, the app works as should.

I see a lot of hate sating "I spent two hundred dollars on starlily and it won't work!","it makes an annoying speaking noise!","it's buggy" and "it crashes to much" from my current reading and science I downloaded it and it kept crashing,I'm saying for myself you guys made $120 unicorn and a dumb app with a commercial that inspired people to waste their monney on a bunch of dumb crap that doesn't work. I've seen older electronic toys that work better than this.

Very disappointed 7 year old. This app won't launch with the s6 phone. Or at least not mine.

If app fails go to application manager and under permissions for this app allow the app to use microphone. App should open as intended now.
