Warhammer 40,000: Regicide

Much better then the description. I'm quite glad I purchased this game. The game play is like chess but with an additional turn based strategy to it. It is not simply a reskinned chess game. The graphics are quite good, considering it is running smoothly on my 2013 Nexus 7. In spite of the good graphics, the battery usage is quite reasonable.

Definitely worth the money, especially if you like chess at all. The Regicide mode really changes it up and put a good twist on the old chess rules, with subtracting from the essence of chess. Overall, really fun! The only real "issue" I have is that the "pieces" seem a little too small.

Hardcore chess. I've always been a fan of 40K but was never able to indulge in the hobby unfortunately. Now I've got way too much going on in my life even begin it. Chess is a very beneficial game to learn strategic and tactical thinking, similar to Warhammer. So this game is great for me because I can pick up a quick game of chess whenever I want and enjoy the brutal aesthetic of 40K that I've always loved. Only thing is because of how cinematic the game is, the pieces moving is very slow. Worth it for the nasty payoff when you take a piece.

Awesome game. Consider adding tyranids and tau. Maybe other chapters. Or able to customize colors with creating your own chapter. And on a larger scale, add the vehicles like dreadnoughts and tanks and things like that. I think it would be a good idea to add those kind of things. Might get more users as well.

While I am not very good at chess I still enjoy this game however it does have some shortcomings. The percentages in regicide mode are off by a fair margin. A 50% attack and and 70% attack seem to miss at the same rate and that is quite often. Even 90% attacks miss more than you would imagine. Also getting a draw is too easy since when you are winning hands down the enemy king will often corner themselves or run away a lot forcing a draw without trying. If they could balance out the hit rates and get rid the the draw system I believe this would be a great game. As is its good and one of the better GW games I have seen on play store. Great graphics, sound and controls too.

It wouldn't start at first but that's fine. I have this game on PC and it's just as fun on my phone. GET THIS GAME.

very deep and engaging tactical game,blending traditional chess moves with squad tactics of the warhammer universe games. you can't depend entirely on your chess skills here,unless you play classic mode..for downside,some troubles with controls-adding an option to confirm special actions and end turn would be ok.

Two great tastes that taste great together. Warhammer and Chess. If you like either game or better both, this is for you.

This game is great! The entertainment is a sinful pleasure of mine. I can play for hours when I get a chance. It really is a breath of fresh air if you're looking for a twist to revive your chess game. Keep in mind that your game strategy will change based on the battle feature of the game. Pawns and rooks are worth more. The pieces are difficult to distinguish between, but an option to symbolize the piece makes it much better. Then it's like figuring out which symbol is the bishop, knight etc. The game is not very challenging until you get to Act 3 or Veteran master level. Just be careful to read the board before moving and you should win every time. At least in regicide mode. The AI is surprising sometimes. I like the leveling feature. Your abilities grow as you continue to win. The game doesn't make you buy anything. You can focus on the strategic part of the game without concern of paying for more ability. Don't give up on the campaign Against All Odds. Just bring up the bottom knight to support the top knight in a two rook split maneuver. Keep all of your defense skills active on your king but not all at once. The AI will not make the best move after losing his first rook. Keep replaying until you get lucky on the battles. In the end you will take both rooks and win the game. I do have some suggestions to make it a better game experience: At least in the campaign mode, the pawns do not get promoted. That is a show stopper, so now what do I do with them? All of the other rules of chess seem to be in place. Multiplayer is nonexistent. I couldn't find anyone to play against. Have a way to determine which chess pieces are part of the objectives in the campaign mode. It gives the the name of the piece instead of rooks, queen, etc. Most of the time I'm just forced to guess which pieces to focus on. Well, back to playing.

So far so good. Love the animations. No lagging or crashes. All in all an enjoyable game.

It is an engaging version of chess with unique obstacles that you don't find in other versions.

Just about my favorite 40K themed mobile games of all time! It's just fun.

Honestly this game looked absolutely sick but it won't even start up. I just bought it on my brand new tablet and it won't start up. It won't even get to the main loading page. I had high hopes for this but it won't even run. I already refunded it so I could try to download it again and still the same problem. Now I'm stuck with a 4$ game that will not work. If it got fixed and I could actually play it, then I'm sure it would be awesome.

UPDATE: After a long wait for the server migration the game works flawlessly! Thanks devs. By far the best mobile game on the market. Wish there were more like this. Even more added factions and environments would be great! Wink-wink

Waiting for dev response before going for a refund. Game does not launch at all. Goes past the title logo, then its blank/empty UI appears, then it closes down. I'm using Lenovo Vibe S1 - 3GB RAM, 8 Core 1.7GHz, Android version 6.0.

Bought it and it worked fine when I first played it. Closed out the application for a while. Came back to play online again, go to log in and it keeps freezing/sticking after a brief "connecting" box comes up. I can't request a refund now and I probably would like a refund seeing as The game isn't playing like it's supposed to.

The game seems fine, except for when i purchased the ultramarines nothing happened. Restarted the app, logged in, store wouldnt load, tokd me i was offline even though it showed as logged in. Would load one dot then sit on the load screen. Tried the same on a new account. Now have put 6 dollars unto a game that dosnt work.

Currently the game looks fantastic and has wonderful gameplay. The problem is it keeps freezing during saves and inside game menus. I would be happy to bump up my rating to a 4 or 5 if there is a patch and I could actually use the in game menus.

I didn't want to give the 1 start. I bought this game and it stops before it even loads a title screen. I don't like to assume, but it appears y'all just straight up jacked me for my money. I'm an understanding guy, so I'll patiently give you a few days. Don't let me down, own you're mistakes...

I WANT to love this. Everything is awesome...except that after equipping loadouts (which I purchased), the equipment will not save to my faction. Either the game freezes at the save screen, or starts up, and NONE of the equipped powers are there. Makes skirmish not nearly as fun.

This would be an awesome game.......if it f*****g worked!!!! It started out OK but as I progressed it got buggier. I rarely buy games but when I do I expect them to function (nothing wrong with my tablet). I even paid extra to play "da green tide act I". I played it once and now I can't access it...wtf? Every time I went into the armory and used skill points it took my skill points, then froze and upon after being forced to restart, the skill points were gone but I didn't have the skill. This is just not good enough and you need to fix this or give me a FULL refund ! I am NOT pleased!

This is such a good, well polished game by itself but please add in the other races like the Tau or Tyranids or Chaos Space Marines! That would be really cool to be facing off against the Eldar while playing as the Imperial Guard!

Regicide is awesome. Tool tips are ALWAYS in the way. Would love to speed the game up by turning off ALL animations. Inventory controls are horrible and barely work. Game is buggy at start up and often hangs until I press my back button.

This game does what it claims. When it works it works well. You can play chess or there new form of chess with stunning graphics and atmosphere. However the game has alot of problems with online connection. When I first got the game I couldn't create an account at all. But when I was able I haven't had any problems since.
