Adventure Escape Game: Castle

Because like all my friends they don't ask for money, unlike those at Big Fish. Different animation style here, which I prefer to the more CGI style of the other (later?) ones in the Haiku stable. Curiously. Finley is more articulate when asking for a review of his exploits than in the actual game. What an actor! One issue though: the knights puzzle. Is it me or does the solution not match the clue?

The update made it possible for me to finally play this on my phone and I have to say, I really liked it. I found it more challenging than Giza and maybe even Murder Manor too, but it's what made it more exciting for me. I also liked the fact that it's free and that there are no intrusive ads at all. Another great, mentally stimulating game from Haiku Games!

Was sort of ok until you have to do the marble labrynth puzzle... twice! It wouldn't be so bad if the physics involved were even close to real life. Why 30 stars to skip!?! Can't/won't go any further. Uninstalling. Now I'll never know if Iona ever lightens up and marries Finley. He seems like a nice guy and could have totally helped on some of the puzzles if she'd asked him. Finley smash labrynth! Finley smash marble!

I really enjoyed this game. It is well developed and easy to navigate with little to no glitches. It was 100% free with no hidden costs or 'try & buy' gimmicks. I must confess that some of the puzzles were a bit difficult but I always came back to it determined to beat it. Great job to the app developers! Highly recommended!

This game makes you think hard at some points. Its pretty fun though but you need patience at some point. It can get frustrating too especially the bean rolling through the maze you gotta avoid the holes and also the boulders rolling through the corridor. All in all worth playing. If it wasnt for the frustrating parts id have given it a 5 star rating

I played all your other games and they were awesome, but this one didn't even get close unfortunately... unresponsive, way too difficult and annoying puzzles, useless hints for way too many stars... I think I will just stop here, and uninstall this game. I hope you will make more though, similar to the other ones, I will definitely download them.

Good fun. Would be great for someone young or not too good at puzzles. Its a bit easy for me but im still having fun playing. The dialogue makes me laugh. I can relate to this chick lol. (Also adds are few and dont effect game play).

This is a great game but I find their (what I think are newer) other games easier to use and more responsive with better graphics. Sometimes I find myself having to tap the same things several times. I generally think all their escape games are very good!

The game offers nice puzzles to put those brain cells to work. Extremely entertaining, simple background story but can keep you occupied for hours at end. The boulder puzzle and the ball in the hole puzzle were the most difficult to crack. Still loved it, though!

Minus a couple of glitches, which I'm sure the developers are working on, this was a fun game. I enjoyed it, anyway ! There was a way to get through the mini games, but I did have to skip the 'shake the pot' game ! Too long & not worth the trouble. At least it's a CLEAN game ! Too many out there aren't worth playing because they use profanity, sexual innuendos, also occult themes, etc.! Thanks developers! Keep up the good work ! :)

Riddles and puzzles had me thinking good balance between hard and common sense clues. Tip of the day ...if u r needing stars for hints go back over the stages Ur av done and build up Ur stars . would of given 5stars but some clues and puzzles were to small

The puzzles are fun and challenging. Some are easy, the others a little difficult that they take some time for you to figure out. The game also tests how sensible you are as some of the actions you need to do are based on common sense. It lags at times, particularly during the boulder tunnel level, but overall this game was amazing. Kudos to the developers.

No matter what I do can't get key from chandelier (act 5 the chambers). Once it goes back and forth will not drop key. Also doesn't give clues for the numbers that u need. Always have to do a walk through.(insane) waste of data!!!

I felt like this game was made early on and has not been polished since then. The mini games were annoying because there was no consistency and were often unresponsive (looking at you, marble boards and boulders). The hints could use some help as well. Overall, the game has a lot going for it. I think with a little work it'll be as good as its sibling games :)

These are very good games. I get to the point where I've been playing so long I buy stars just to get through the puzzles which some are tough because they don't make sense but some are too easy. Good work though

This game is too much. The bad poems and random numbers that just got harder to decipher over time. The slow reaction time to dodging boulders. The shaking of the pot that DIDN'T WORK = skip puzzle. The horrible egg in the maze game that was more annoying than anything. Omg this game gave me a headache! The moment I had to reference YouTube to get through a level, I knew the game failed. It's not the worst game but come on! All the headache leads to nothing. Just more puzzles.

So, it may be my phone, but the Iona Jones puzzle with the boulders is pretty difficult do to unresponsive swiping. I enjoy the escape games from Haiku and will continue to play them, unless there is a continuing trend of these types of puzzles. I prefer the logic aspect of the escape games, I dislike games that rely on me moving and or jiggling my phone. Strike that, I detest them.

Lack of hints or instructions regarding how the interaction of phone movement to navigate through levels is really frustrating for this new style of game play, for me, at least. The clues make no sense for opening objects. Kind of disappointing. Graphics different, too, but still great.

This game is challenging, but I wish some puzzles had a little more info on how what to expect. I.e the flowers and crown has no info on what should be done and you need too many stars just to get a clue. Other games used 0 hints just for the instructions and the rest were stared hints

Puzzles are mostly easier, although still entertaining. Number of levels could make up for that (and the weak dialog) but the boulders level is so laggy as to be (nearly) unplayable on a Galaxy S5. That's not fun!

This game has a level where you have to avoid these rolling rocks. I've played it about 20 times, but the game doesn't register when you swipe, so you die before you can get to the end. (I'll be sitting there swiping and swiping and it doesn't do anything.)

Although not the same graphics as the newer ones, this game & its storyline were cute & imaginative. So much so that the graphics took nothing away from the fun. I love these games. Many thanks

Although this adventure escape is different I still enjoy the adventures. Keep up the amazing work. We need more exciting adventure games from you company. After finishing this one I don't know where I can find another. Please keep me posted as to when you all will create a new adventure escape game as exciting as these.

Have played all the other games from this developer and it isn't till now I've learnt how you make your money. The price for the stars are ridiculous! I have no problem paying for a game but where the other games hints were 3 or 5 stars for a hint or 10 or 15 to skip a game this is 8 or 10 for a hint and 30 to skip a game. Also the game with the ball is crazy. I can be fine and not moving and the hole actually sucks the ball in. All this can only be to get you to buy stars and that's annoying.

I love most Haiku games but this one is pretty bad. Not enough hints to get you started on a puzzle. Perfect example is the weights and the statue. No hint as to what you are doing. The hammers direction in the next room. And now the floor puzzle with lights. Throw me a bone as to what the hell I'm doing.

Some games were quite annoying because it wouldn't register clicks or motion through my (fairly good) Samsung tablet. Some puzzles were silly in how you had to solve it (not logical). I still didn't understand the answer to 1 of them (had to look it up). Played other ones that were better. The game play was a bit archaic compared to other versions.

I bravely endured through Merid...er, Iona's adventure. It's a kitschy little story-line but not bad. Some of the items were really small to click. If you have a cracked screen (like me) then one of the levels will be a bit tricky. Overall, I liked it.

Great game , I like that you can return to previous levels to collect stars. Some puzzles made no sense, that could just be me.

Time Library & Murder Manor are a lot better, but this game was basically the only free mystery game there was in the Play Store so that's why I downloaded it. If u haven't already played TL and MM than go play them, they're a lot better and longer.

Loved this game!!! Super challenging and kept me glued to the screen. It even got me frustrated at times, but that did not stop my brain from thinking. It is one of the best games I have played.

Enjoyed the game but couldn't get past the boulder run why ruin the game with such a ridiculously hard and stupid challenge

Games good, but it won't give me the achievement for passing the barbican, even though I've done it 4 times now. And the 1st stage of act 3, my marble goes down the hole when it goes past one, almost like it's being sucked down, making some of the tighter turns impossible. Will be uninstalling if still not working tomorrow.

Okay, so Iona seems like a definite Merida knockoff in appearance, but let that slide. This is a very good entry in non-hidden-object adventure gaming for Android. Fairly heavy on puzzles, less so on inventory, with the need to travel limited within each chapter. Two mildly annoying action sequences of the rhythm variety (double the usual for the series), but still worth the time.

I guess this is the easiest mystery game by haiku! Was restless and finished the game in 2hrs! Well done and hoping new games from u guys!

I was expecting to see another cool game like the others made by this developer. I was disappointed, especially from puzzles. It's not that the puzzles are hard, they are annoying and purely designed making the game experience a disaster.

It is quite obvious that this was one of the first tries, but I can't deny that the cartoonish story was great! :) Thumbs up - just try it!

Want a review? I love your games, I really do. But the "real time" response puzzles aren't registering half my swipes or clicks. I can't play this game. Not with a stylus, not with gloves meant to assist people with bad circulation (believe it or not those do help), and most certainly not with any amount of patience I put in. Some people may be able to do it, but even on my tablet, the real-time puzzles are a pain. The game is really fun. I'm not arguing that. I just can't continue playing it.

I love point and click games, and Haiku Games makes some of the best free ones out there. While this game was entertaining, the mini games were extremely frustrating with slow to respond controls. Also, some of the puzzles had strange logic which needed lots of hints. But overall a solid game with an amusing story!
