Adventure Escape: Carnival

I remember playing the first game by this developer and being a bit underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, I was very impressed by the graphics and smooth gameplay, but the puzzles seemed too simple and almost secondary to the aesthetics of the game. This is definitely not the case with Carnival! I can really see growth. These puzzles were actually pretty challenging. In fact, I even pulled out a pen and paper to tackle a couple, lol. The game itself is a little on the short side, all of their games are, but if you like quality over quantity that isn't overly disappointing. Especially since unlike many of these games it's possible to play the whole thing without purchasing. You can buy extra hints if you choose, but they don't let you play a couple levels, and then ask for money to complete it. Thanks to Haiku Games, for making really awesome free games!!

Well the games is great but i mean the puzzles? Every puzzly takes at least 40 minutes and some puzzles just dont make sense i mean you give 5 colors and say "guess" it took me one hour to solve it. Oh and those hints? COMPLETLY USELESS like im stuck in that game they tell me (you have to solve it) well thanks? What would i do without youu you must fix so much anw gd luck

This is the first game I have played by this developer. It reminds me of Myst, and the games in that series, which I LOVE. If I had a suggestion why not give stars for solving puzzles without requesting a hint? The harder the puzzle solved without help, the greater number of stars awarded

This game is realy awsm I am addicted to Haiku games now.. but in carnival that baloon challange i cant figure out solution plyz help me wid dat i tried a lot but m not able to get correct one.

I honestly didn't think I would like this game because I'm not a fan of the story line. It's actually a cool game. I like the mystery and finding the clues to move on to the next part. I'm currently stuck on the clown house. I got the code but it don't seem to work. I'm so annoyed. I wish someone could help.

Great puzzles... from easy to gradually getting harder. What i do not like is that if i need to stop playing in the middle of a chapter, when i return, i need to start the chapter again. All the progress i made in the puzzles were lost. Some puzzles take time to redo. Wish we can save the game right where we stopped.

Well So far, so good! My new favourite developer! Update... Please find a way to save game. So annoying as I have to restart the whole level. Made things tedious so uninstalling at Zoostras caravan.

It's a fun game but the controls suck! The response time lags or is nonexistent. The unresponsive aspect of some levels makes this game annoying and frustrating. Uninstalled. Fix the response time and I'll happily change my rating.

Fun game! Better then just finding objects from a list. Fun puzzles. No glitches. The only thing is not being able to save halfway through a level. When you start a chapter, make sure to finish it before stopping.

I don't usually give 4 stars, but what I don't enjoy as much about this one is the type of puzzles I need to solve. I highly enjoy puzzles that require logical thinking, where you must piece together A and B in order to get C. Although Sudoku requires logic, it's not a very "mystery-like" (and neither is mahjong tiles). If I enjoyed those, I would download those games instead. But still enjoyable overall.

You guys, are by far my favorite escape game developers, I wish you could make these faster!! I can never get enough. Great for keeping the brain firing on all cylinders. My only complaint besides having to wait for new stories is that sometimes the puzzles are SO sensitive that even when you do it right, it still resets. So tweak that and it'll be perfect!! Keep up the great work!

This is the second adventure escape game I have played. I love these games. They are challenging and fun. It takes a lot of patience and time to complete a level. My only reccomendation to the developers is to make it to where you can save your gameplay in the middle of a level. I have had to do my work over more than once. I'm a busy person and I don't have time to complete a whole entire level sometimes and I have to exit the game. Other than that you guys are doing great! Carnival was a little easier than the Framed, so if your just starting to play I recommend playing this one first. And here's a hint; pay attention to everything around you. Its easy to get stuck.

Puzzles were hard but not unsolvable with a little time & thought. One thing I DIDN'T like was not being able to stop & go back to a puzzle without having to go through the whole chapter again. It would be great if progress through the chapter was saved so you didn't have to replay to the point you left off....some of the puzzles are complex & time consuming & if you only have a limited time you can play it makes it hard to get through a chapter if you have to keep replaying puzzles you have already done. Otherwise great game!

The difficulty level was just right. The controls and puzzles were easy to touch and move compared to the last one. The story was a little mundane and boring at first but the rooms with different patterns and colours rly impressed me. It was sooo original and unique! I enjoyed the game. Good work haiku games, im rly looking forward to your next game

the game is wonderful but may I suggest adding check points after solving puzzles. sometimes you just want to play on the go and it happens that you close the game at the middle of a chapter, it would be nice if I don't have to resolve the same puzzle over and over again. other than that everything in the game (and all your games) is perfect.

This is one of a set of games but these games do not have to be played in any order. They are adventurously brilliant! Puzzles are not obviously easy or impossibly difficult! Great storyline, continues to keep your interest thru the end! I love and recommend these games to beginners and pros!! Thank you for producing such great games that everyone can enjoy! Please continue this series!

Time killing. i'm speechless. everything was perfectly made to feed my knack for puzzle games. loved this!

Creative storyline so far, I've only finished the first chapter, but enjoying it. The puzzles are a bit easy, so this is not for those who want a huge challenge It's a mellow play! We all need a mellow game to chill with when the moment hits us! Beware that you can't skip a puzzle, you have to buy stars to get past a tricky puzzle. I would rather buy the game then get stuck and not be able to move on! The puzzles get more challenging!

I was looking for a nice relaxing game to play to help nurse my hangover, and I picked the right one with this game! Good graphics and interesting puzzles with a low difficulty level although some of the puzzles were quite tricky. Quite short but it's OK if you just want to kill a couple of hours. Thoroughly enjoyed and can highly recommend.

Maya is fresh, resourceful, with a bit of a mysterious past. I hope she returns in another game. I rated this 3 stars for the following: The Gypsy achievement - Ridiculously hard. I shouldn't have to ask my math genius husband to resolve it. The forced window mode when solving the previous chapter with the gypsy caravan. The small windowed mode is a pain. Several bugs I discovered in the 'captured' chapter which involved the tombstones, candles, and the fire.

I really thought I'd dislike this game simply because I'm not a fan of creepy carnivals but I was wrong. This is by far my favorite of these adventure escape games so far. They've found a way to have fun whimsy inside a creepy setting. The theater and clown house are my favorite. Thank you for such a wonderful game.

One doesn't need to be a genius to play. Puzzles are challenging without being crazy hard. Actual story line, shows thought, and good graphics. My only recommendation would be to allow saving in the middle of a chapter when having to stop the game in the middle of a chapter. I don't like having to, start a chapter from the beginning when I am inturrupted and can't finish.

I enjoyed the game....didn't want to put it down until I finished it. Unlike with some other escape games that have impossible clues, these were not too difficult to figure out and mostly made sense. The only part I didn't appreciate was the dialogue between the characters. They should have included clues related to figuring out the other clues in the scene so people pay attention to the conversations.

Really good game! Great story line! Love the puzzles! I love escape games, and it's very hard to find a good one! I'm 10 years old and I've been playing escape games for a very long time. I have played most of the good escape games and, it's hard to find a great Escape game that isn't too hard or too easy. I'm use to games like this so, I usually fly right through them. This game is perfect. Love the setting and theme. It's not too hard or too easy, so it's perfect for me.

Absolutely bloody brilliant! Not your standard tap everywhere kinda escape game. You actually have to puzzle things out. Can't rate this highly enough. Fun story too! Keep up the great work developers... gonna download EVERYTHING they've ever done!

These games by HAIKU just gets better and better!! I've played 3 other HAIKU games and the story lines are always fresh ans consistent with the objectives. Cute, flirty, mysterious and engaging. Love you guys at HAIKU!! YOU ROCK

Love these games. The puzzles are great, good storyline. Only the Hidden Ruins' puzzles had me puzzled. Even seeing the answer sometimes still made not a lot of sense! This one though (and the others) - Excellent! Many thanks.

Some of the puzzles are too difficult. The only way to figure them out is a walk-through online. I love most adventure escape games, but this one stopped being fun after a few levels because many of the puzzles simply made no sense.

This adventure series seems kinda cool... If you like magic themed games with puzzles and cool graphics n challenges plus a story... This is a game for you. Plus it's not a heavy game resource wise. It runs on cheap ass phones too! Lol... And, the price is definitely right... Free! Hells yeah! Get it now... You won't be sorry.. One Love

Some of the puzzles are confusing and frustrating, some of them are challenging and fun. I finish one Adventure Escape game, I download another, but this one, Carnival, has a mahjong game that is impossible to beat. And a puzzle in the same chapter that is pretty complicated, but I did complete it once. However, since I can't beat the mahjong game, I can't move on. If you're willing to buy a bunch of stars, you can bypass them. Soooo...uninstall. The heck with it.

This is the second of this series I have played. The only thing I don't like is not being able to pick up where you left off if you have to stop before finishing a level. But it easier to get to where you were the second Time! I'm looking forward to playing more of these.

Storytelling is good. Graphics are good. Puzzles are interesting. Haiku games are always the best. Plz make more games. But getting stars is very difficult. You cannot go to previous levels to get free stars. Some puzzles are really tough, you have to need stars to solve it. Plz make getting stars easier than I will give you 5 star

It would be awesome if when you pick up an item...you can use it to do more than just completing a task. For instance, if I have a screwdriver....than maybe I could take apart the television and then if someone clicks on it they get electrocuted or if there is fruit in the room....you can throw it and smash it against the wall. Just cuz it's fun and funny to be destructive. The game is fun but it could definitely be more fun.

Some game is hard.. Like guess the ballons, mahjong and sudoku.. And so shame that sudoku didn't have undo or retry button.. But I still loved it.. Can't wait for next haiku games adventure escape.. Love this developer games.. Without pay we can playing all the game.. I still gives 5 stars to all the adventure escape haiku game..

Another great game from Haiku. The mini puzzles in this one are pretty easy so far but that's good if you're looking for some casual play for downtime. The storyline is engaging too. Edit: Changed my mind. The puzzles got harder and harder. Love that the puzzles were not repetitive. Good game!

Challenging just like all the other games but I hate running out of stars and having to pay for them to get Clues because some of the games are very challenging. It's my mind of game

Suggestion to indie creator... Have hints cost less stars in early chapters. Steep price for clues will cause folks to ditch quicker. Imho..good luck though. Images are rich and story it interesting () blessings, billie

There is a wrong symbol in the game in one of the puzzles so I even i had used up all clues, i couldn't complete it. The puzzle is of runes in the last chapter. The symbol for scorpion was given. |^ but actually it was <. So this puzzle was frustrating. Otherwise liked the game.

As usual, great adventure by haiku. Pitty though, that the progress is lost if you exit during an episode... sometimes you're thrown out by a phone notification or something - and you've just completed some pretty hard missions!

I love it!! Especially how I can play the full game without having to pay finally! It's great because everyone can enjoy it! The puzzles are sometimes extremely difficult to figure out so you might have to get help from time to time. But other than that I love it!!
