DISCLAIMERS :
Some subjects of this game seem to be quite polemic in some countries. Here are some disclaimers about them

1. This indie game does not try to express or convince you about any political point of view. It's main purpose is being a game and a time waster.

2. This indie game doesn't try to convince you about the reality of global warming if you don't believe in it. It's just a videogame using mechanics in a strategy game for you to enjoy as it is. If you want to play it but are bothered about that, you could consider the global warming part of the game (= fossile combustion rises temperature) represents 5% of its overall mechanics (amongst other things like the mechanics of the limitated fossile resources consumption, pollution, economic race, offshore banks, crises, wars, peace ... which don't make much controversy) . If you still are bothered about that, then I can't do anything more about it and I'm sorry if this game doesn't fit your thoughts and beliefs.

3. Scientists have not proved (yet?) that the rise of temperature has something to do with a rise of hurricanes power but I just believe it's a fine idea of gameplay and a good metaphor of the dangers of the rise of temperature. Again, this an old-school videogame, not an essay.

4. The position of mines, climate conditions, proportions of rivers, economic rankings etc. tend to reflect reality but are not the "real reality" ... for sure. If you think there's a problem with a country, please tell me so ! I'll cross check your facts and I'll change its stats in the game if possible.

5. About borders. The map has been made in 2014 from a 2000's source. You may feel borders are not accurate. I'm sorry if it hurts you but this game isn't about borders and can't resolve the conflicts there were about them in the last century.

6. The borders are not the 1850's ones and it may seems a odd because it is said that the game starts in 1850. It's like this because the world was, at the time, very different from now, with lots of differents names, small kingdoms, Empires and colonies and much more problem with borders than now ... It would have been quite difficult to add a way to deal with that across time in a game that try to focus on the story of the burning energies' process. Also, the game needs you to recognize quickly the countries' names of the world so these are some reasons why it has been chosen to keep the beginning of the XXI century's world's (midly accurate) borders.

7. Nuclear power. The game may please and displease both anti-s and pro-s nuclear : when there is a growth, Nuclear is perfectly safe (with no words about radwaste and hurricane-proof !) but when there's a crisis, when countries have no more money, nuclear plants may explode, just like Tchernobyl, meaning with an economic impact. Again, this is a sci-fi game and the developer is not a lobbyist.

***

I hope you'll have a nice time playing that not-so serious game and saving planet earth from auto-destruction, numerous times!

It's not much of a game but it is very interesting and challenging. The game also gives a preview of how energy sources affect the world economy and ecosystem.

I think production should be based off the amount of city you have but other than that it is a great game and can't stop.playing it

V70%

You should remove all of Africa since you can never win with any of them, you know what remove all non white countries since god forbid any coloured country has a chance at winning in this stupid game. This game is literally only central Europe and the USA, and that's it.

I70%

It was hard to find contries with resources especially the small ones but overall this game is amazing

S70%

One of the most original games I've played and well executed.

S70%

Its very simple Donst have fun at all

S70%
by S####:

Graphics are good. Not much of a game though. Feels more like a slow motion indoctrination of opinion concerning the ecology with a cute polar bear as your guide. I'm not a Democrat nor a Republican. No vested interest in pushing an ideology one way or the other. Just hoping real science will prove things out one day.

M70%
by M####:

Game is not about energy, nor wars, but is trying to make you think that burning coal, the only abundant source of fuel on earth, is going to increase global temperatures. Liberal trash

M70%
by M####:

I wish there were less grammatical errors. It really bugs me that such a good game is littered with them...

E70%

Good Game, good message and education. Shame the English language used is rubbish.

Fun little game, not overly complex but enough strategy and challenge to be interesting.

Had fun playing this game!

S70%
by S####:

I just didn't get why do I lose the first level. I have 25+ green cities, and then I "let die" white ones, putting the world under crisis, but when all white cities die, it says me "You lost" Did I do something wrong ? I really don't get it. But this game seems soo good, I want to keep playing this, just need some help !

S70%
by S####:

Unique idea, well executed. Can be frustrating at times (when a last minute decline moves your country from first to second), but all and all a very solid game

Y70%
by Y####:

This is a fun game for all sorts of people you can play it casually or for long periods of time and you may lose a couple of times on a level before learning what to do but hey not everyone gets it first try right?

Q70%
by Q####:

Really great concept. I really like that it is split in campaigns so the game gets gradually harder and more complex but is also very easy to understamd in the beginning.

S70%
by S####:

Dont like it, theres no strategy in thus game. But its still called a strategy game

S70%
by S####:

Since the last update the game freezes or just quits by itself

S70%

I'm on the mission to get brasil 1st with 200 green cities and the icon to but a resource is double the size un readable and won't let you purchase a resource

Q70%
by Q####:

I think it's good just wish hurricanes were a little more obvious

P70%
by P####:

Started out enjoyable, but when I got to the Egypt level, I had so many skills I'd often get blocked from upgrading my mines or oil fields. Which wasn't a big deal until the "gray empire" popped up - usually right in the middle of europe. Instantly, 20 countries are at war. Even removing the gray country, ALL of them become gray after the war ends. Unrealistic and, well, unfun. Edit: If it was just once, sure. I've no doubt the mission is winnable, but it's all down to random chance. I play roguelikes already.

S70%
by S####:

Although seeming simple at first, I've gotten many hours of enjoyment out of developing new strategies and trying to optimize my playstyle. Recommend to any fans of non-combat strategy

L70%
by L####:

Fun game despite bring super repetitive. Wish it would have an autosave feature so i dont lose an hour long game to crashes.

Go back to Romania comrade. You are such a pseudoscience obsessed communist. In Soviet Russia they write games to play you!
