Safe Trip or Not for Android
Have not found another app that hides and shows cards like this! Wish there was a way to customize rules and things. Also, sometimes you hit a card by accident and it puts it out. An "Undo" button would be very helpful! Hope you make more apps using the hide/show thingy!
Love this card game! Been playing it since the '70's. Only frustration is when I make a mistake, instinct is to clear the message, but hitting the center of the screen discards the card you errored on...thus throwing away a valuable card. Also plays on my Tab 10.1, but crashes when going to online area of game.
If you've ever played Mille Bornes then this game is a must. Tried several times to pay for the original In the play store but always had issues. I actually prefer this version over the original. Hats off to you for this memory lane game game.
Even though I read the reviews, i was skeptical; however, it's exactly like everyone has said! IT'S AWESOME!! I loved mille Barnes and this game is so similar. The only thing I don't like is that when playing with me and three androids, i could only see two of us!! All in all, GREAT GAME!!
Good gameplay, but badly dated graphics that looks messy and lacking of the clean/refined look of most modern app graphic design. Even the icon graphic is a sloppy mess. The app hasn't received an update in several years now, so am not hopeful for a graphics refresh.
Game is great. Plays very similar to the actual game. You can customize most of the game to your liking. Including player name and car color. I play against Thing 1 and Thing 2 currently. I haven't yet tried the online function.
It's definitely the best Mille Bornes-type app available that I've seen. Great visuals and smooth animation. I especially liked the easy-to-understand tutorial that comes with it. I usually play by myself, but transitioning to multi-player mode when among friends is a fairly simple process. The Android players can be cut-throat, but it's nice to know that I won't win every time (which can be very boring).
Good version of the mills borne card game. Music is a bit corny like 70s cartoons but game play keeps your competitive juices flowing. Crashed on me once after tutorial when I went to main menu. That seems to be the only real gripe. Nice job on saving a classic game from slipping away.
It's a fun program. I've played a few many times and sometimes I wonder if it's cheating because it's getting the saftey's more often. Another observation is that it almost always uses 200 until it reaches the 700 destination. I'll keep playing to learn if that's as often as it seems. I've noticed when the draw pile is empty the discard sound becomes louder than it was. The sound also plays twice together, slightly overlapped.
The default settings irritate me. This included the lame music, the sound effects, the less than optimum playing style of the computer opponent, the slowness of the computer opponent, ill conceived animations, and the lack of a remaining card counter. All these can be adjusted in the Settings. That's good. But the Settings don't stick and I have to apply them every time I start the app. That totally sucks. I have not deleted the app but I will as soon as someone comes up with an amenable Mille Bornes style game.
Used to play back in 80's a lot. Been looking for to buy. I found this last night and can't stop playing. Very addictive... Remember why we loved as kids. We had the actual cards. So glad I found this game.
Introduced to this as a card game by my wife. If you take the few minutes it takes to learn this you'll be rewarded by a great game and on a quest to master it. I have played three or four versions of this game app and this is by far the best version. The computer is ruthless and I think it's sheets though I can't prove it so watch out it is a fierce competitor. I hope they add a feature where I can choose the person I want to compete against device vs device. That would make this app even better.
I love this game works great. The only thing I wish they would change is to have automatic Coup Fourre's. So often you accidently hit the deal button before you realize that there is a Coup fourre. It should automatically give them when you have the safety card
The game play is addictive, and seems a perfect reproduction of the classic game Mille Bornes, and the tutorial is probably good enough for someone who has never played it. But the music and sound effects are cheesy, the cards are tiny, and there are some English errors. Overall, a very good interpretation that could use a bit more polish.
Very nice rendition of one of my all time favorite games, the best I've found yet! Thank you for this fine app. UPDATE: I forget why, but I was unable to run this on my Nexus 7, but I still played it on my phone. Just for grins, thought I'd try the tablet again. It Works! under OS 6.01 Nice! Thanks again for a great version of a great game!
Originally from France, I enjoyed that game. We recently bought a card game of Mille Bornes and I introduced it to Friends in my small Labrador town Instant hit! I play yours on a Samsung Tab 2 10", and my wife on a 7" - Online games went without a hitch. I like the fact that it takes care of my score instantly! Well done, excellent app!
Finally a great version of Mile Bones for Android. I had an old 16 bit Windoze version that doesn't work on a 64 bit system and figured that was that. Along comes this very title, beautiful presentation and all, and I'm back to happily wasting time!
I played Mille Bournes way back in the late 70s as a card game. It was fun but a pain in the neck to track scores. Always had disputes regarding the way the trump cards worked. No such problem with this game. This is the best version I ever played. The only improvement I can make is to have options on the card artwork between this and original Mille Bournes version. Thanks for writing this app. I wish game makers like Milton Bradley or whoever they are now can make app or computer versions.
The only issue I've found is that once the deck runs out, it still plays a draw sound for the AI player. This sound stacks and gets louder with each turn. Other than that, it's a perfect port. Wish there were more players so I can try online play...
Taught this game 40 years ago, we used to play (not kidding) strip mille bornes at college. I love this, very true to actual rules, amusing graphics. Only eyesight isn't so good, hard to tell some cards apart.
Played this game as a child and recently even bought a deck to play again, but often do not have people who want to play, so this is a nice way to get a game in when bored. :) We play where you can pick up what the last player discarded, though. That makes things interesting! Maybe an idea for an upgrade?
I really found fun in this game! Playing the real one a lot has me wanting to play when there is no one around. This game does it perfectly with computers that are not that easy but not on expert difficulty as this game is based on luck.
There shouldn't be a time limit to setting down a safety for a coup fourre. Also, in playing 3 player against the computers, android 1 seems to always play a hazard against player 1 regardless of a tied mileage between player 1 and android 2. Android 2 almost always immediately has the anecdote to hazards played against it. It would be nice if computers wouldn't pass/discard mileage cards to other computers that are the last card needed to win.
Game is great. Plays very similar to the actual game. You can customize most of the game to your liking. Including player name and car color. I play against Thing 1 and Thing 2 currently. I haven't yet tried the online function.
This is a great game, but for some reason it will never connect with other players online. I'd like to be able to use the random opponent option or create my own game option, but they never seem to work for me.
OK, so I like to keep the game moving by touching the draw pile quickly. Unfortunately, this means you can't Coup Foure, unless you are really paying attention. Once you touch the draw pile, you lose the capability to Coup Foure. Also, why can't you have an UNDO button for this situation??
Can't even start to learn to play. The tutorial cards will not let you choose and lay down am action because it freezes at the same place. Where I am going to get revenge for being car wrecked. Card doesn't light up nor can you pick it up or lay it down. I am uninstalling it
At this point, I am forced to conclude that the game cheats. The developer assures us that it does not, but it is statistically impossible to have a win/loss ratio of 50% when I have better tactics than the computer. If the game is not designed to cheat, then there's a mistake in the randomization math, or some kind of glitch. I loved this game until I turned on merciless level where I must conclude the game is cheating.
I've played MB on lots of platforms over the years, and didn't think I could find a good one for Android. This is very true to the game and plays well.
Great game when playing against android. When playing online game sometimes shuts down, can't play a coupe fore, this causes game to freeze. When you change car colors, seem to have more problems than when you leave them the default colors.
Great game. Only problem I have with it is if you set the difficulty above the second level, the amount of luck the computer has in its draws, and the lack of luck in yours, makes it next to impossible to win.
I've loved playing this card game for decades and now can play it on my phone! It's beaten me twice already, but I don't care! I love this game! lol
Stinks when playing with someone and the deck runs out and all you can do is discard.
No ads, free and fun! Best app I've ever experienced. I find myself avoiding draw something and wwf because this app does not swamp me with useless adds. Great work.
Just like real road racing only not as expensive
This works just like the game I remember as a kid. Very similar to Mille Bornes. I wish I could add my name or change the color of the car but that is trivial.
I just learned the card game last week, and really liked it. This version is true to it and lots of fun! Havent had any problems either. Its a win!
Very nice until you try and play the Android player & discover that there are no degrees of difficulty but the designer's shortcut...degrees of deck manipulation. In the forty years plus of playing Milles Borne never have I seen the laws of probability CONSISTENTLY deal the Right Of Way safety to the same player (along with numerous other deck phenomena observed after running 300 test.hands). A shame I uninstalled it due to a designer faking difficulty levels by deck manipulation.
The default settings irritate me. This included the lame music, the sound effects, the less than optimum playing style of the computer opponent, the slowness of the computer opponent, ill conceived animations, and the lack of a remaining card counter.
