About Double Up
This game is a mashup of the classic match 3 games and the puzzle game 2048. The player swaps adjacent tiles to match 3 or more of the same tile horizontally or vertically. Those tiles are then removed and the centre tile is replaced with the next power of 2 tile. For example, if you match at least 3 tiles with value 16 it will replace the centre tile with 32. The larger the number on the tiles matched the higher score you will get. Try to get the highest score possible by matching tiles and making higher value tiles. The game ends when there are no more valid moves that will make a match. If you trigger multiple matches in a single move then you receive bonus points.
There are special tiles to help you remove more tiles and score higher.
- match 4 tiles and it is replaced with a striped tile.
- match 5 tiles and it is replaced with a circle tile.
- match 3 tiles horizontally and vertically at the same time then it is replaced with a checker board tile.
- if a horizontal striped tile is included in the match then all tiles in the same row with number equal to or less than the matched tiles will be removed.
- if a vertical striped tile is included in the match then all tiles in the same column with number equal to or less than the matched tiles will be removed.
- if a circle tile is included in the match then all tiles with the same number as the matched tiles will be removed.
- if a checker board tile is included in the match then all tiles with the same number as the matched tiles will be replaced with the next power of 2 tile.
