About FollowMe
“FollowMe” is a game that challenges the player’s brain in term of skill of memorize and concentration. “FollowMe” was inspired from the “Simon” which is an electronic toy invented by Ralph H. Baer and Howard J. Morrison. According to Wikipedia, from the concept of “Simon”, there are four coloured buttons available on the device, the button will be lightening up or activated by the device randomly. Then, player has to press on the button which activated before. Each buttons producing a particular tone when it is pressed or activated by the device. The number of buttons to be pressed increase as the game proceed to next round.
So, here we apply and modify the same concept from “Simon” and add in some our team’s ideas to produce this game called “FollowMe”. This is a game that designed to increase the brain performance. The game’s rule is exactly same as “Simon”, player has to memorize the sequence of the buttons which lighting up by the phone, after which the player has to reproduce the same sequences by pressing the button. As the player answers correct the sequence, player will get one score. For each the next sequence to be reproduced, the number of lighten button will be increased by one. Overall, player just follows the sequence produced by phone, then they will get one score. The game will end once player fail to follow the button sequence. So the player can see how far they can go. There will have three level of difficulty, so that this game is suitable for people from aged 3 to adult.
From this game, we believed that this game could improve player memory skills by memorizing the order of button. And the sequence of buttons will increase by one, player need to memorize the order and the number of coloured button. In addition, player will also pay attention to the colored button so that they would not miss out the order of lighten up button. By this way, it can improve the player’s concentration. By and large, “FollowMe” could benefit the people by boosting up the brain performance in term of memory and concentration. It is an effective and enjoyable way to keep your brain sharp.
