Rhythm Tap - Music Theory Game for Android
You should provide the lesson to hear after practise. So that anyone can detect his/her mistakes by ear
The beats get slipped on the met, and it's unclear where the starting beat is
I appreciate the simplicity. Wishing the tap made an audible sound though. Would be helpful feedback for the student.
This "game" sucks my teacher told me to play it
My students love it?
This is an absolutely wonderful little game for teaching rhythmic sight reading! Simple, and very adjustable. No permissions. I wish it had rests!
I like it. Had to remember real quick, my rhythms.
Great app! I second the need for rests!!
Great little tool. But... You must listen to the metronome, it is delayed. I am not able to get the keyboard to appear when I want to create a second profile. No rests yet, but in rhythm that isn't intrinsically required, just limits musical skill
I really like this app as a rhythm app I bring out at the end of lessons. I would buy it and put it on my recommended purchase app for students if it had rests as an option. Any chance this is going to happen?
What a great game!!!! User friendly and so accurate. Thank you for this resource for my music students! :)
Is this some kind of joke?
There isn't a lot of stuff like this out for android, and this is exactly what I needed to work on my music reading skills. You can change the speed of the beat, the types of notes (quarter, eighth etc.) And it has a detailed grading system so you can tell where you got it wrong. I highly recommend it.
Not the best thing for me
Since the last update, the app works much better. Its a good one to have available to my piano students for their lessons.
Played around with it for a while, couldn't figure it out (I am no newbie to computers, music or apps). Looked for any help on the app and their website. Not a word. Don't bother downloading.

You need to have an understanding on notes and time signatures in order to play this app. It doesn't walk you through different levels, so you have to set up your own profiles. I set it for the notes that im good at then added in new stuff when I felt I had mastered it. I wish it had actual lessons, but it's a free app so I can't complain too much. I use it every day for a few minutes and I have definitely improved.
