Catholic Bird

They are stuck in purgatory and only you can set them free! Collect crosses to purify all of the Catholic birds so they can enter Bird Heaven.

Just like the original Flappy Bird but with increasing difficulty levels, challenges as well as fully customizable birds, sky, and pipes. You can just relax and kill some time on normal mode or you can take your tapping skills to the next level by advancing through every difficulty level and completing all of the challenges.

The point of the game is basically to collect crosses and get all 20 birds into heaven. You get a cross every ten pipes and each bird requires you to collect a specific amount of crosses on a specific difficulty level. You can see the required number of crosses in the Pergatory screen. When you free all of the birds you may want to try and complete all of the challenges. I added the challenges for those of you who really want to test your tapping skills. Some of the challenges may seem almost impossible but I assure you that they can all be completed if you really master the game.

Cross multiples increase as you reach certain scores during blue and red difficulty. So instead of getting 1 cross every ten pipes you get whatever the multiple is multiplied by your streak multiple if you have one. Streaks are awarded during blue and red difficulty levels. 60 pipes in a row without using a heart on blue and 40 pipes on red difficulty. If you do multiple streaks in succession you are rewarded with higher
multiples. 2x, 4x, 7x, 11x, 16x etc... If you use a heart the current streak multiple is reset but your total streak multiple stays where it was. You can then try and build another streak with your remaining lives. This value is multiplied by the cross multiple everytime you get a cross, so your cross total can really add up.


Playing Tips

First of all, in order to successfully play the expert level you will need a phone that has very short touch latency. Expert requires very fast tapping and if your phone can't keep up with your tapping it's very frustrating. Most recent phones are plenty fast so you shouldn't have a problem. I have been testing it on a Nexus 6p and I have no issues. Some older phones may suffer from frame stuttering which also makes the game very difficult to play.

Use your index finger, not your thumb. You can get away with using your thumb for yellow, green, and even blue difficulty, however, unless you have an extremely fast thumb it's very difficult on red.

Double tap using your index finger and middle finger Red difficulty has some large climbs and it's very difficult to make it past them just using your index finger. It is much more efficient to use two fingers

Try and time your flaps so that you come up from below the pipe as close as you can without hitting the front of it. This allows you to pass the pipe with your bird as close as possible. This is increasingly important on expert as it is very fast and you get a lot of high rises followed by long drops. So the only way you can miss the next pipe on the way down is to be as close as possible to the previous pipe when you pass it.
