There’s nothing quite like a run and jump game, and this game’s an all-time great. How can you not like a hero called Robocod?! With a face like a frog and an almost infinite ability to stretch, he’s the ultimate James Pond superhero.
The premise of the game is this: Dr Maybe has taken over Santa’s workshop at the North Pole and has kidnapped all the penguins. You, as James Pond’s superhero, codenamed Robocod, must free the penguins. But beware, Dr Maybe has some assistants in the shape of evil toys. Mwahahaha I hear you say – or perhaps not…..
Now this game would have required a keyboard and the pressing of direction keys or letters. But no more. Thanks to Mirror Games, we’ve completely reengineered this game so it will work easily on your smartphone. There are simple direction keys and action buttons to follow. We’ve included some instruction keys for you to follow but it really is incredibly easy to play. So download, play and tell your friends.

Great for juicing up the old nostalgia glands in ones brain, but it lags wayyyyy too much and makes the background trippy. I hope they put my 99p to good use and fix this issue if so it would be a 5*

I literally dribbled when I saw this, possibly my favorite game of all time. I've searched periodically for years to see if it had made it to a mobile platform. Then I had it in my hands... The lag makes it very difficult to look at, music stops when in a level and the D pad responds - when it wants to. I'm playing on a Samsung Galaxy S5 so it's not like I have a slow device. I'd like my money back please, so disappointed. :(

This is an excellent, dare I say it, near perfect port of one of my favourite childhood games. The graphics are wonderful and exactly as they should be. Minus the infamous penguins for obvious copyright reasons! I have a new phone and there are no lag issues or anything distracting that takes away from the gameplay. Whoever converted this is an uncelebrated genius and should be put to work on 'Chuck Rock', 'Turrican 2' and other such 90s gems :) What a joy to see this little gem of a game given a second life on Android. My only reason for a dropped star is due to the controls covering the beautiful playing area. That said it's not really enough to put me off! Laslty, I was chuffed to find that the old 'cheat' still works making this a very faithful port. Bravo! Well worth 99p.

Way too laggy which a. Makes the background a serious headache...and b. makes timing jump sequences hard. Controls are a bit fiddly.

Good idea but the controls don't respond very well. Loved this game and although it was never easy to control this version of the game makes it even more difficult.

Game is awesome; however the lag especially when music is on makes it impossible to play it. Please fix it with an update
