For the negative it requires Internet just to play and after paying money just to try the game out since there isn't a free version as a trial for people interested in the game I say just get APO Snow instead
Board all year! Constant updates. Dev responds asap.
Don't wasteyour money. The first version was great. This version is a paint by numbers game that takes away the freedom and fun that the first version offered.
Easily the best android snowboard game and I've played them all. There is some give and take, VS the 1st version of Summit X... sure you can only do tricks at various points, however in it's pure form is a racing game with a fun trick metering system. There are always several ways you can get down the mountain. Dev updates the app on a constant basis. The racing has been smoothed out and Mountains reformed for a better riding experience. The Global Ranking gives something to work towards while upgrades are plenty. There was an issue with the last update and contact with dev got my back on track without losing any on my past riding upgrades and awards. Can't say enough! Great work here Free Range Games.
Nice one! But please make it possible to turn gyroscope control off by changing settings. Also it seems like I found some bugs: a) When it was about a minute until mountains change I took a race. When I finished this race the game crushed and after this I didn't receive any messages as usual when mountains changing and didn't get reward at all! b) When I bought two buffs having only one slot, the first one was replaced by the second one on switch. It was confusing, because the game doesn't inform about replacing. 4 stars till the issues are fixed.
I loved the original SummitX. Loved it. It was the closest thing to SSX on Android and I was hoping the sequel would include some features I wanted to see in the game such as greater customisation options and head to head (multiplayer) racing - which it does have by the way, along with some pretty decent graphics and still very solid gameplay. Unfortunately the sequel also takes a step back by stripping away most of the freedom of the original game. Why do I need to jump off a ramp to do a trick, and even so why am I limited to only doing one specific trick at a time? Why am I only limited to playing on only one mountain a day? And where are the trick-based scoring goals to aim for? And while the two new control schemes are appreciated, I do wish there was an option to return to the original, twin slider-based scheme. Add to that some relatively lengthy loading times (thanks to needing to connect to the internet) and at times poor frame rates and you have, at this admittedly early point in release, a very disappointing sequel. In the meantime go play the original SummitX instead for your snowboarding fix.
I played the first game in this series and, I have to say, this sequel improves on a lot on the things that I found shaky from the first one. Multiplayer mode is awesome! Graphics are really good running on my Nexus 5! And having a leader board is really cool as well. So far I'm at 25th, but trying my best to get to number one. Seeing other boarders and skiers on the course is just too cool! Definitely a very fun and competitive game!
Pretty slick game! It looks great on my HTC one and the level design and trick speed boost system really make the game addictive. Racing against other people and following everyones rank on the leaderboards really highlights the games competitiveness.
Wont load or let me play! Everythin is sick but I cant play.
Crashes constantly, lags, handles poorly. I thought it would be better than the first one but no. The old controls were much better I dont like the tilt to steer feature, cant even choose which mountain and run I can ski like the first one probably doesnt even have any.
You can't do tricks its all planned out.
I love the new control scheme. It's much better than the original.
