Stretchy Cat's World Tour for Android
For those of you not familiar to Plato's philosophical ideas, the allegory of the cave is described as the effect of education and the lack of it on our nature. Plato describes a gathering of people chained to a wall, they spend their lives looking at shadows on the wall, cast by the fire behind them. ...turned around from this wall, and can view the world as it is, and what is actually projecting these shadows. This is the effect that the game 'Stretchycat' by Forged Games has had on me. Stretchycat himself is clearly a metaphor for the life the common man leads. He goes throughout his days reaching for the tails of success, clutching desperately at his one chance of being famous. However, life is full of obstacles that get in the way of success, and, try as we might, we will eventually succumb to these errors, and the chance for success will be gone. However, many try to escape from these errors, reinventing their lives in what they think will change their path. This is shown by Stretchycat moving countries on his tour, trying to escape from the mistakes in his past. But note! He never gets the lives he has lost back. This shows that no matter how many reinventions he has had of his life, his mistakes are there, deep down in his mind, and will never go away until he has finally reached success. This game is the best metaphorical experience I have ever come across, and it should be heading for many awards in the future, including the Nobel Peace prize.
