Really good emulator with loads of spectrum titles to choose from. Some classics not on though

Tears of pure ecstatic joy this has brought me! LOL If u grew up with Spectrum Games like me you will understand exactly what I'm talking about! It's a shame you can't play some of the games though like Barry mcguigan's championship boxing because I used to love that game but I have been able to play Many of the classics like The Great Escape and renegade and many more! It really is just so cool so very very cool and it has made me very happy! It's damn well worth the money just for the Great Escape or even just renegade to be able to play those games again after nearly 30 years is Golden to me so whoever put this out there thank you he he he I'm new to emulators but now I'm totally hooked ha ha ha

Great emulator! But what are the actual controls for the Magnum phaser light gun? When I use a tzx copy of the Sinclair light gun action pack, I can move the cursor for the gun but not select a game. When you touch the screen it just presses fire and selects game 1?

I have used Spectrum emulators for over 20 years, and Speccy is the best I have used on Android. Easy to learn, very configurable and great compatability. Also fun to write BASIC programs on and use save states - better than 10 minutes saving to audio tape!

I love this emulator. Its easy to use and brings back a lot of memories. However, when I choose a color palette in the emulation option it doesn't seem to save the selection and reverts back to normal. I picked the RealSpectrum color palette emulation but it doesn't save the option that I choose. Also I wish there was an option to turn off Pixel Smoothing.

Overall a good emulator of a much cherished system but just a little clunky. nVidia Shield TV use is fairly good although you do seem to need to edit the joystick key bindings (up, down, left , right and fire etc.) manually to get it working with the controller which I expected to work by default. Having said that, I have come across an issue where the control pad "back" button stops working in game. This is the key to quit back to the emulator menu when double tapped and for reasons unknown only the back button on the remote control works. So unless I'm missing something here, just to use this emulator and a few games requires me to have my control pad, the remote AND a mini keyboard at hand. It's manageable but I'm sure if everything just worked using the default nVidia controller it'd be totally amazing. If this app was optimized more for the Shield tv I'd give it the full 5 stars as only the clunkiness mars things really.

It is not possible to assign MOGA mode A buttons to keyboard keys! It works for joystick only and that makes not possible to use it in keyboard-only games. Also it would be great to have an ability to add keyboard keys to virtual joystick screen in addition to other buttons

Please add good support inside emulated mashine for external USB keyboard like in ZXdroid emulator I need all kayes on USB keyboard to work like on real mashine, hope it will be fixed soon, Good luck!

Poor. Chase HQ 128K title screen flickers... Annoying product bar promoting sibling products - not cool in a paid app... UPDATE: Author said he would investigate Chase HQ in 2013. 3 years later, title screen still flickers. UPDATE 18 MAY 2016 Author says Chase HQ works but title animation still flickers unlike a real spectrum and better emulators. UPDATE 10 JUNE 2016. Author still claiming no problems but they're there.

I got this for my nvidia shield tv yet the controller doesn't work with it. Can't use this as nvidia shield tv is not touchscreen. Also no option for refund. Not impressed ______________________________________Update I can get it to work with a wired xbox 360 controller but still not with the shield one

I'm pretty happy with this app. hence I purchased! How do you save into .sna format ? I can do this with this program on the pc. Also I can't open sam coupe roms which are usually zipped .sad files

A really good emulator for the ZX Spectrum and Sam Coupe. Sadly it does not support .sad files which are the meat an potatoes for the Coupe.

A stand alone emulator should be better.

ANY ZX emulator has " skip tape loading" mode. But here - we still has no it. Also it is no possible to map keys to gamepad directly - just saying UP on gamepad should press S on ZX, DOWN should press X (Elite layout) and so on. Instead of this author added some complex multidimentional menus which can map anything to predefined key layouts but you ca not define your own one for games like Elite, Fairlight and so on... Why? I don't know

Allows non touch so no need for mouse on android tv

Really needs to be able to fast load. You select a game from world of spectrum, then wait 5 mins for it to load. Yes this was how it used to be with my 48k speccy back in the day, but not good for today's load a few games for a quick play...

Paid for the app for its paid for version features, those I tried don't work. 1) Load from WoS - try RoboCop.dsk, refuses to launch, uses RoboCop 2 picture. 2) Tried ChaseHQ freezes on load screen. Load from menu again, freezes and squeals (it tries to load a +3 disk in 128K model emulation). 3) ADs for all of developer's other products still left at bottom of main screen, no paid option to disable. For some reason Google is not showing me the refund button either, feel conned unable to play +3 games.

This also emulates loading the game so you have to wait 10mins for each game to load before you can play. I've paid for this app and not even played 1 game due to loading times

even if you deselect from input menu, on screen keyboard is always visible. please correct this bug
