About fMSX - Free MSX Emulator
fMSX is an MSX home computer emulator. It runs MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ games and other software on your Android phone or tablet. Play MSX games with Bluetooth gamepads, Xperia gaming buttons, Moga gamepads, or iCade joysticks. Save gameplay at any time and restart once you get killed. Record MSX music to MIDI files and use them as ringtones. Play with friends over WiFi or Internet, using NetPlay. Play on a 55" GoogleTV screen, using your remote controller or USB joystick.

fMSX package itself does not contain any MSX programs. You should place your own MSX files onto the SD card before running fMSX.

Otherwise runs DSK MSX 2+ images well with random crashes on some games. Older MSX Cart Roms run ok with lower specs in emulation. Cannot adjust to higher MSX turbo R specs to run TURBO R DSK images. Spam Spam annoying ads. Makes me want to delete application. Fix major problems will give 5 stars. Legitimate issues. Updated to 5 stars. Full version has no ads. Free version is a great but help support.thanks

From the settings menu, input, assign joystick keys, clicking a "left button" gives me "press key once to assign ..." What and where ? There is nothing on screen (the joystick), to see what and how was changed or what to do, only a lock icon. Edit : To map the joystick you have to buy the full version. Developer, be precise and tell us better the differences between the free and the comercial version. Other things, are good.

Good emu and fps is like the original console, but has a problem in controllers, the A fire button do the action of A and B together. Also when adjusting the layout of A & B buttons, the final layout not matching the adjusted one some time, it spaced away from each others, and you have to manipulate to get the final layout the same as you adjusted.

Well I looking at the reviews so i can figure out how to play metal gear and you replied to someone saying to uninstall and reinstall I tried that and it still didn't work so I look all over the reviews until I saw another review that said to use msx2 so tried to play it again only to find that I don't have msx2 on the advanced so can someone help me on this problem so I can play metal gear.

as of the new update advanced settings are only in paid version, making this app useless to me now. cant use for msx2+ anymore without paid version. thanks for nothing, you heathens

This app is fantastic. Is it possible to have a version for googletv. I believe gtv is x86 based. I have a Logitech revue, fmsx running on my TV with the revue's full qwerty controller is the closest emulation of MSX possible. Please consider, I understand that if u use the ndk, it might not be easy task. Thanks in advance Regards,

Getting better with every new release. Thanks for not forcing to click on ads any longer and for smaller size cursor keys on the screen. Still, not all my ROMs work. Sound is sometimes choppy. When pressing Shift, symbols on virtual keyboard don't change, so you have to type blindly if you need other symbols than numbers and letters. But overall impression is good. Tactile feedback for joystick buttons and cursor keys would be great.
