ColEm Deluxe - Coleco Emulator for Android
Haven't tried it on my phone, really just want to play it
I found that the Android version would not recognize .Zip files as the manual states. Only .rom are recognised. So I have to unzip all my files, then rename from .bin to .rom. After that, emulation is quite good with excellent sound, but for a few games the sound would disappear. I could get it back by adjusting the audio settings.
Coleco vision was on display with Donkey Kong hooked up to a TV I was 10 back in 1982 and thought it was so awesome after being able to play it at a Sears store in the mall in newmark Ontario I had to get it for Christmas Santa brought it and I was so happy played it a lot cabbage patch kids was funny and hero and Tarzan cosmic adventure ' frogger zaxon buck rogers I am 44 now and this emulator helps bring back memories, thanks so much, oh and did I mention minnor 2049er what a cool game,
I would to see a search command for locate a particular game.. Thanks
Its better thank you
Just tried the free version! looked as though it would work well on my samsung 10.1... so i purchased the full version ( had to! would not let me try any other of my .col games that i had till i paid for full version..) paid and installed deluxe now every time i touch the screen after a game starts up it goes back to the ColEm menu for the game i am running! touch the screen go back to game...then touch the screen and back to colem list screen! A7ny help Guys! seems like if you update it gets glitchy! PS..no real help on how to or where to place the .col files! so that could be the issue? i placed them in ex-sdcard folder as Coleco games. And how does someone get that nice flip browser to come up? Still no help on to get the flip screen thing to come up!! other than that, everthing is running well.
Great to be playing these old games again. Thanks.
I have to admit, I kept the "free" version for a long time and if it were not for the outstanding customer service from Marat, I would have put up with the ads. However, from the get go, the developer brought his "A" game and has not only replied almost immediately, but was able to make changes recommended in a timely manner. I am telling you Marat is the man and you will find no better developer out there. I highly recommend all of his emulators!
Fantastic app!
Some of my favorite games .. like to see an adapter from Atari Stick to this app.
Dev responds quickly if u have problems, got it to work on s7 now. Ty for your speedy reply. it works great once again =) (recommend people to buy paid version to support this dev)
Can't get enough of it!
I have this installed on my Samsung galaxy tablet 4 and i use it for Coleco vision games, however having problems or do not know how to setup to work with my viaplay bluetooth controller, how do i setup the proper key mapping for it?
I still remember the awe I felt when I first saw the Colecovision playing Donkey Kong in a Hills department store in Pennsylvania. And now my son and I are playing games like GORF and VENTURE on this emulator and it's amazing. I bought an MHL cable so we can play the games on our 55 inch tv set. Even more amazing. Thanks for this great emulator.

Works amazing, dev responds to any issues you have. Definately recommend it
This takes me back. Love the versatility. The sounds are spot on. Amazing.
Awesome emu!
Works pretty well
App works well. I like the interface. Really enjoy playing my old favorites. ROMs easily download from Global ROMs account.
I really like this emulator but the latest release has some strange issues. Whenever I touch any of the on-screen buttons during gameplay, it keeps going back to the emulator's game menu, making it completely unplayable. Please fix. Using Sony Xperia Z1
Great speed, accurate sound, and keeps up to date. Finally got paid version to support. Needs to support mega cart formats, like PacCollection and Mario Bros
I give 4 stars because I see no reason I should need to connect to the Internet periodically to check the lisence. It's not a million dollar piece of software and this could in convince me at some point.
Great, authentic, fun gaming!
Brilliant.
Brings childhood memories back
How to download the coleco games? And what are the files for tablets called? Or how do you find the file after download to play? I'm new to this.Maybe you could explain it to me. Thxs so much.Where can you buy the games from? Also, could you reply through my email. I know you replied back, I couldn't find it.
Great emulator. It would be nice if you could assign number buttons to a gamepad button so you can use it connected to a TV. Otherwise, pretty good features.
Great presentation enhances nostalgia factor

This is a good emulator, but poorly optimized for Android TV devices. Setting ColEm up for external joysticks is something of a Herculean task, especially if the joystick in question is digital. You can't escape to the menu without thumbsticks, and the BACK+A combination doesn't seem to work either. What I'd like to see in this and other Android emulators is the ability to select your options BEFORE gameplay starts. It would prevent a lot of unnecessary grief and filled swear jars. ColEm in particular could use a much better interface for customizing your controller... some functions are reserved for certain buttons, which may or may not exist on an Android TV. Why can't I use my controller's start button to exit to the menu? The camera shutter is, uh, not really an option for me. Having said all that, I'll acknowledge that ColEm works, and works well. You can turn off interpolation for a crisper display than you ever would have gotten out of a real ColecoVision, and compatibility hasn't been an issue so far. I haven't tried any roller controller or steering wheel games, but everything else has been hunky-dory. Pricey, but probably worth it for fans.
