My Boy! - GBA Emulator

It's a really good app and do it's job. I think that it could be a bit more, though. Is there any possibility of this app to create an interactive cloud platform? So we could compete against people across the world. It would be nice, but I am not sure about the legal policies behind such thing

Long story short... this is THE emulator to play GBA games on... the graphics are sharp and vibrant and the sound of the games are very clear.... but when it comes to the 'controls' on phones... the button layout can ruin gameplay on other games such as "Street Fighter II Turbo" and other games that require certain buttons to be used in a sequence. Nonetheless, this emulator is slightly better than "John GBA."

I really hope they make multi touch a thing. After three button presses the game doesn't let you push anymore, thus making me unable to play some of my favorite games. PLEASE FIX!. (Edit. The developers of the app told me how to fix the issue i really appreciate it.)

I've really been enjoying this app, but recently I've noticed that my save files will randomly delete themselves. This is a real downer after you've spent hours grinding only to have your save file disappear for no known reason. Please help!

Perfect app! Do not let anyone tell you different. Fast forward controls, cheats, and tons of UI options. Wish cheats were inlaid like with Drastic,another emulator but otherwise awesome! You know what? Please add inlaid cheats. Thanks for creating this devs.

Works beautifully on my s8 good luck finding pokemon roms easily though. EDIT: word of warning make backup saves in case you are an idiot like me and have already made tons of progress and then rename the rom file because you want it to look nicer. it deleted the autosaves and now I have to start again,on emarld after I had just got the 6th badge ???? review still stands tho it's a fantastic emulator

I love this app. Works perfectly. But I'm now having an issue that won't allow me to trade or battle pokemon with my friend. I've tried everything but it never works. On Bluetooth or Wi-Fi still get the same results. Please help me fix this

I can't find my ROM files on the app. They are in my downloads when I check on my file manager but when I'm in the app I have no idea where they are. I used this app with my galaxy s6 and had no problems but now that I've switched to the s7 idk what to do about this. I even made sure my downloads were shareable with the app. Can anyone help please?

I played a game for months, and one day I open the emulator to find EVERYTHING gone. Not even the game file to be found. I wasted endless time, advanced really far into games. To find that one day it's all just gone? I did nothing wrong. I saved it correctly. I know how the app works, I'm familiar with it. I'm very upset over the fact that I wasted so much time on a game for it to just disappear months later.

Love it! Only issue though is it keeps randomly flickering and going unresponsive randomly when it does so which is really annoying when im trying to play a game. I lost about a weeks worth of progress due to this glitch since i can only use save states and i tried to save state during the flickering and that state froze, i wish i could find out what causes it!

My Boy! This emulator is what all true gamers strive for. It sure was boring around my house until I discovered My Boy GBA Emulator. Pokemon! Mario! Zelda! You want it, it's yours my friend, as long as you have enough money (or don't mind ads).

Its a great system, literally tye best for the phone, however sometimes i have to play in some bright glare but don't wanna bring my brightness up. It would be really awesome if there was a way to change the button layout from white on black to black on white. That is so much easier to see.

Great Emulator. One issue that bugs me: Warioware Twisted says there is no Gyroscope sensor (tilt based game) but Yoshi Topsy Turvy (tilt based game) works fine. I clearly have a Gyroscope or my screen wouldn't rotate.

It is a great emulator and runs Rome really well, however I bought the full version as the free version doesn't allow more than a single line of code for cheat codes. It doesn't even support multiple lines of code, any cheat with more than one line of code is broken and will not work. Absolute ripoff.

Hello, I loved the free version and so decided to help the developer and get the paid one. Yet, I have one issue with this app and that is the size of the onscreen control buttons. I play on a 7 inch tablet and I will be grateful if you include an option to change the size of the onscreen control buttons in your next update. Thank you.

Absolute trash. Randomly stopped my saves from working unless I brought the full version. Have done and still says I cannot load from multiple states. Find a better app and do NOT waste your money.

Best emulator I've used. I have had no problems with gameplay or the save issues others have mentioned, the only issue I am having is it will not recognize any cheat code. This is not a huge issue for me but sometimes I like to mess around on games and it's a little annoying that there is an option for cheat codes but I am unable to use. Still stands that this is the best emulator I have used

Great!By far my most used game on my. Something that I would want added for is for there to be an option to mute audio while fast forwarding because I like to play with headphones and it sometimes gets head achey when I fast forward the game.Another thing I would want added is a game boy border for when my boy is played in portrait mode. If these things get added i will rate 10/5 stars.

I love this app, but one thing that's annoying about this app is the random, unpredictable flickers that disrupts gameplay. I'm playing this on my Galaxy S8 and this never happened on my old S7. I'd love if there's a fix to this app so it won't do it again, thank you.

Mother 3 / Earthbound 2 has the potential to run like molasses-dipped ass in the wrong emulator. Its combat system requires precision timing on the A button. Fortunately, this one does everything just right. No stuttering or stalling whatsoever.

The emulator works well enough but it continually asks for permission to access every Google account I have added to my device. I have looked through the settings several times to make sure I didn't overlook some sync option (I have Google Drive sync disabled) but I haven't found anything that would indicate why it would need access to my accounts. I contacted the developer a week or so ago but never heard back. I'm quite concerned the app is trying to do something unsavory with my accounts so I am going to uninstall it and find an alternative solution until the issue is fixed or I get a satisfactory explanation.

Bought it for $5 and it doesn't play any roms i downloaded. Tried many different sources didn't help. I emailed the developer for refund multiple times and did not even get a respond. This is horrible, waste of my money. I Would like to get my money back. And then i can remove this post.

i link with my friend, but i encounter lags every few seconds. i try both wifi and bluetooth, and i can't avoid this situation. ps i have turned off autosync.

It's not a bad emulator however it will blackout as well as flicker when trying to save. You can save in game but it is a little frustrating to see myself in the middle of the game for it to crash on me and delete all of my progress. I bought the full version and recommended this to anyone who is interested in this app. They are aware of these issues and would like to see this issue patched with an update. Other than that the app is flawless.

Kept saying I lost the battle when it shows the other pokemon fainted. Wont even show the name or the pokemon itself and gets the name of the Rival wrong when you choose it. Always went to Red instead of what was chosen. It froze several times and would only play the music.

This emulator is great, I love the graphics and the gameplay. But here are the problems I am having with it. Every time I enter in a cheat code, let's say from a site like "super cheats", the ROM always freezes and the game blacks out. The random flickering is also a problem when saving. The fact that I had to waste around $4.00 on this emulator makes me disappointed because of all these glitches and bugs. Please fix these problems. ????

Works perfectly for me, only thing I would like to have is the speed up button on the triggers instead of my volume button which I mapped it to. I love this app and I get my games from loveroms (type into Google), it's a little cheeky charging money to save your game (you can do it in game anyway?)

The emulator worked great for a long time. After a while I got burned out of pokemon and undownloaded it. About a year later I got it again, but now whenevr I download a rom it wont let me run it. It just says unrecognized gba file. Ive tried many different Roms now and still nothing. My one star rateing will remain until there is a fix...

Emulator is very good, images are crystal, every rom I've tried works. I really like it. But lads, how difficult would it be to make some form of rom gallery with little thumbnail images. Is that possible? Much love.

The whole connecting with other devices thing works really well, and it's just overall great. I haven't run into any problems, and cheat codes work perfectly when you get the right ones. The one thing that's a bit lacking are the controls. It's hard to control characters without looking at the d pad because it's too close together. Well, that's probably because they aren't physical buttons so you don't know which buttons you're pressing. But otherwise, great.

Every thing is great about this emulator. I could throw every game at it and it would run perfectly, but the only issue i have is that there is an external controller problem. Sometimes there are lags when i press a button like mario would jump then i would press the jump button but it wouldnt render.

Had the free version for years, loved it but got tired of starting over all the time with reboot of the phone or getting a new phone so bought the paid version but a lot of the games are not showing up. Maybe not an issue with the emulator but a little frustrating. Suggestions?

This is a GREAT app! I love the versatility of it! But I still can't get the cheats to work. Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone help me figure it out?? Or is it an issue with the programing?? Help!

The best GB emulator there is! The ONLY bad thing is that it keeps asking me to grant permissions for an account linked to my work Gmail (I've already granted permissions for the account linked with my personal email) I've tried selecting "No" and disabling notifications. Still a good app.

The best GBA emulator app out there. Only issue I've been having is that on my phone restarting, it asks me to have access to my google account. I've turned this setting off, yet it still asks me.

It's a great emulator, but I'm knocking off 1 star for no indication WHATSOEVER about what types of game files, like .zip for example, it can play. I will rate 5 stars if you fix this. Thx!

Why does the app need access to all my google accounts. I already granted access to my main account but it keeps asking for access to my business account even though I denied it. Please turn that off. Otherwise great app.

I'm a little angry because i like the fast forward button and it was fine until I paid for this. Now it's either you move really slow or way way too fast you think after paying for it you would get to choose but no please fix this!!!!

I have used My Boy (both GBA and GBC) since forever on my Nvidia Shield Portable and it has worked great! There is one major problem I want to address with this app and that is if it can be ported to the Nvidia Shield TV. I would like not having to run it through the side launcher app. On top of that, when I run it through the side launcher app, I occasionally tap the right thumb stick by accident and the mouse cursor comes up which doesn't let me do anything else. This problem persists for both the GBA and GBC version.

Game pad support no longer functions properly. It's almost like the keys get stuck and then the app crashes. My controller works perfectly fine with every other game on my phone and pc so I know for certain that it is a problem with the app.
