Mansions of Madness for Android
Undo button and more voiced descriptions / background music would make this near perfect. It has already taken care of the major flaw mansions 1st ed had, the ungodly setup time
The app is very good. There are a few things that could be improved, however, that would make it perfect. More narration for one. The voice overs are minimal, and adding more would add to the immersion immensely. Second, refining the attack screen would improve flow. Currently it takes a bit of reading to know how the results of a pass or fail should play out. Even spacing out the pass or fail text would make it much faster to resolve a die roll. Adding a brief test and result section would help, or option to eliminate flavor text, since all the flavor text isn't really necessary, and is often skipped by the group. Third, an undo or back button. We encountered multiple times where we accidentally jumped past some text with no ability to go back and see the requirements. The message log helps on occasion, but sometimes doesn't contain the event text that was missed. Finally the game menu for setting fire, viewing message text, etc should be separate from the quit menu. Every time I enter that menu, which is required on most scenarios, I cringe someone will accidentally click quit and then it's game over. Overall a great game and app, that could be a perfect game with some minor improvements.
Yes! New DLC!! New expansion in Q4! This is great! Thank you FFG for keeping the content coming.
Latest version removed all of the DLC I purchased, there is no way in the app to retrieve your purchases.
If they could add more sound fx to things that happen in the game, it'd be an absolute 5/5. Lacking sound interactive sounds for a full immersive experience.
The game is amazing and very entertaining. I will rate 5 stars if you add more scenarios for the core edition and a narrator also for both phases. Undo button is as must.
Great companion app for the board game. The small screen isnt ideal for this app though. I cast it to my tv with chromecast and it looks and works great!
Well the game is great however very disappointed with the lack of DLC, we have only had one...just one which is a sad turnout.
This shouldn't require the board game to play! I installed this app expecting to get the APP VERSION of the game, not whatever this is, the reason? I don't have the board game so I can't play!
This application need more DLCs
Amazing game now the app has been introduced. Just a shame there are only 9 missions with all DLC and expansions. Random game generator mode (like delve for Descent) and I'd give it 5 stars
This game needs more voicing and more sound effects for each scenario. It has a good amount as of now but a narrator for the npcs or ambient effects is a must, especially when the app is supposed to remove the need for a dm player.
The game would be twice more enjoyable and faster with an audio dialog. If that will happen I would buy expantions.
Great app. Just uses a massive amount of the battery. Really, really needs an undo button.
Great, just need to make the text boxes movable so you can see where Walsh and doors go.
Great game with loads of cthulu
Awesome app for my favorite game of 2016. Can't wait for more missions.
Companion app to Mansions of Madness: Second Edition. The board game is awesome and totally worth the money. This app replaces the Keeper of the original version of the board game and makes everything quicker and easy. Edit: I've since bought all the expansion packs and it's awesome how the app mixes in the new rooms and monsters into the existing scenarios to make a new experience each time you play. DEFINITELY needs an undo button.
No problems with the app. Feel like it does a good job of separation of board and tablet. I would like the monster movement tips and rules to accompany the mythos phase, can be confusing how the monster is supposed to break ties. Saving is clunky but we usually wrap up in one session.
Undo/Back button just HAS to happen, would avoid so much frustration when accidents happen. 5 stars once this absolutely necessary feature gets implemented.
Really love this so far. What would be even better would be if it could give you an outline of roughly how much space the scenario is going to take, and where to position the starting tile. A few times I've run out of space or had to shove everything to make room.
I wish the app had a narrative to everything, our orator got tired after a while lol. And an undo button would be appreciated :))
Excellent support for the game, investigators turns are short and setup quick. Fixes all problems of first edition by simply letting the app handle the keeper turns.
Just needs more. Undo button, more settings, more scenarios, difficulty adjustments, auto fire spreading, option Y o see monsters in app, opyions to see investigators on map, more variety of mythos phases, more DLC, Deeper narrative, etc.
The app controls the random encounters that occur during tabletoo play. The music is excellwnt and creepy. This experience pulled me into the revolution that is now a revival of board games.
I have the first edition of the boardgame with all of the expansions, so obviously I selected to use the first edition of the game in the options menu... app would not allow me to unselect the second edition version of the game. Started a new game anyway and saw that I could not select any of first edition campaigns. App is useless for first edition holders of the game.
Awesome fun.
The game is just amazing - quickly became one of my favourite board games. However, an undo button is necessary (hence only 4 stars), and more DLC scenarios (and expansions) would be appreciated, just to add more variety to the game. The absence of multiple save slots isn't really an issue for me, but it would be a nice addition.
A perfect guide for a great game. Sound effects and variety give this game legs. An undo or back button would be helpful for times when someone "fat fingers" a result in the app. While you can read messages you missed, you can't see placement of items or redo a test if you input the incorrect result. Adding that would be perfect, but I'm giving this 5 stars anyway for the ease in which it allows you to teach newcomers this game by doing all the heavy lifting.
There needs to be a way to undo/confirm test submissions. We have lost two games because of the poorly designed test resolution system. Please fix.
I've played a couple of games and I find the app very interesting. The audio is nice but I really feel that the whole experience would be ten times better if we had narrations for all the mythos and general messages. Seriously, think about it. And of course, the missing undo action is a big no-no. If you fix this, I'll rate the app 5 stars, easily! But overall, I'm very pleased with the game experience.
too few narrations in the app, only the intro and ending. better add voice to all text in the app. I would even pay money for it seriously
Overall enjoyed this app and game alot. Though it seriously needs an undo button as mistakes happen and this would be a great feature this app really needs.
Very bad game. Bad graphics and very stupid gameplay
Love how much this enhances the board game
Excellent game!
Works great
This boardgame-app are an excellent combination, and though some bugs, FF does a decent job of correcting reported bugs (bought this game in August at Gen Con and have seen a lot of updates). The app makes the game play entertaining even for casual boardgame fans.
This companion app makes the board game smooth and very entertaining, also adding lots of variation to the individual scenarios.

I cannot rate this overall more than 3 stars. While the app is truly functional as intended, it is very short sighted. If it were to support the first edition scenarios, that would be GREATLY appreciated to the point pf getting four stars. My biggest gripe is not that. With the number of choices of characters play, limiting us on the number of players hampers the experience. Please allow more investigators in future releases.
