Star Wars: Imperial Assault app

Ran perfectly, zero problems. Can't wait for more campaigns and units to be added in!! Get to work on it, FFG! This is my favorite game and I already own every expansion and unit! And now all those friends I alienated (cos I stomped them with Imps) will come back and play with me! ????

So keen for this but it will not progress past the screen telling me to visit the collection menu to add physical components. Edit: was not recognising touch inputs with finger but stylus works (Samsung Note 10.1 tablet).

Pretty fun but does drain battery. Be nice if there was an undo/rewind button, accidentally "defeated" an imperial unit and had to restart so I could finish Tutorial 2. Did get stuck on a white "starting" screen but a restart of phone fixed that issue.

When IA first came out, I HATED the campaign. For a 1v4 competative game battles were almost always one sided. Fun board game nights would devolve into arguments and frustration with both the rules as well as each other. This app, on the other hand, cleans up a lot of the rules we despised while making the game balanced and more challenging. Also, it's entirely co-op now with an option for solo play, so even if the base campaign caused your friends to hate you for the rest of your life you can still play the game.

All good, docking a star for the lack of spoken briefings and original boxed campaign missions. The included campaign is fun enough but short. Good start ffg, now it just needs a few bells and whistles

Was really excited for this. Played through part of the tutorial last night and found it rather enjoyable. This morning however, I can't get past the splash screen. It just freezes. Tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, nothing seems to work.

Well, thx for app. But really wanted original campaign implementation. Not like Descent one. Thats for me is a 'no' unfortunatly. Second issue is battery draining like a hell and stuck in tutorial rushing objecties. After arriving to river and 'enemies' spawned coulnd do anything except map moving.

This app has been a long time coming! Finally I don't have to crush my friends hopes n dreams, I can be with them! Thanks FFG

Well installed for my tablet device, says installed. Said compatible with device but WON'T work! Endlessly stuck on starting.

Unfortunately my tablet is stuck on a white screen that just says "Starting..." although it does load on phone. I've been eagerly awaiting this may have to rely on steam version

Can't get past the initial popup message (even after a restart). Does not register my touch inputs. Will review again if this gets fixed.

Stuck in 'Starting...' screen. Restart device won't help. Bought the game just because the app so you better fix this!!!

Great app! Works well, and prevents the imperial player from being hated. I would love to see more campaigns!

I love this game, but it's hard to always get enough people to play. This app is a great add on to the game! I played through the tutorial and it seems to work well, but with a few bugs. I had some issues with icons/graphics ending up in the wrong place. For example, the imperial troop icons look like they should be on the right edge of the screen, but instead are part way in, so they kept ending up on top of the text instructions. Also, a blue lightning bolt seemed to be stick at the top of the screen for no reason. This was a little annoying, but not horrible. Other than those graphics glitches, the app seems to work well. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with out taking away any of the feel of the original game. Great to be able to play co-op with just 2 people!

It's great to have the whole party playing on the same team finally, but we were expecting an experience more like mansions of madness. The app barely tracks anything in the game. It can't even track enemy health, or give you combat stats, so you still need to do ALL the game managment physically... But now you have a big laptop in the middle of the table as well as everything else. Should be a beta release to give people a propper expectation. Having said all of that, I do look forward to improvments in the future, this would be one of my favorite games with a fully-features companion app.

Good companion app for a great board game. Rating after the first mission of he free campaign, so it could change, but the app ran fine through the entire first mission just fine on my Nexus 6P. Looking forward to playing more as it's much easier for me to get IA to the table playing it fully Co-op than via the original campaign mode.

The perfect companion app! I've been playing the board game for about 2 years now and it's great by itself. Lately, though, we've been having issues with the endless competitive aspect of it. We've been trying to come up with house rules to create an enemy we can play cooperatively against (we even looked into using some unlicensed player-made mods) but this app is far superior. Fantasy Flight is always great about keeping their games balanced and challenging and this is no exception. With random troops played against you and variable bonuses given to each one it keeps the game exciting, unpredictable, and rewarding. I particularly like that they reward you with more gear and credits than you would get to use during a normal game. I love buying new gear and it's tough to have to choose which ones fit your squad best. Do I buy an upgrade now or save my credits for a sweet tier 3 item? With greater variety to shop from and the sell back (at full price!) features you don't have to fear buyer's remorse. The same goes for being able to redistribute XP on characters between missions. No more waiting half the game to buy that sweet 4 XP ability when you can move XP around to get it later. Makes playing with Gideon a lot less arduous through the first few missions. Thank you, FFG, for this awesome app! Please continue adding content!

Fantastic work. I love the roleplaying elements injected into the app. Unfortunately the random picking from your collection has not updated, some unthematic picks so far. A re-randomise feature would help

Very good companion app with only a few issues. + Solo play capability! + Great tutorial, albeit very wordy and sometimes overwhelming + Does a great job of storytelling and provides plenty of surprises + Supports all character packs and expansions without an additional $$$. - Several rule changes for the Imperials, such as how they move and attack. Was confusing for me as I had just read the original game manual but not yet played a mission. - Battery hog. Phone won't last through a mission. - Display bug sometimes results in Imperial portraits moving from the right top corner of the screen to the middle of the screen which overlap with the map and any pop ups, making it hard to see/read text. - Tutorial throws a lot at you. Best to review the electronic manual for clarification or if this is your preferred method of learning. Features needed in future release: - undo/rewind option

Breathes new life into Imperial Assault. Just wish there was a way to play the base campain with the AI

Not working on mi fire 7. Works in the Nexus 5x. Controls aren't very responsive and tutorial can be a pain. Input miniature tracking (touch icon/touch tile) and status will be very appreciated. Graphics and sound are fine.

App does not work on my Acer Predator tablet. Guess I'll have to wait until it's released on Steam.

1st install; Phone powered down & restarted; Opens this app to a blacked/unresponsive screen :( Uninstalling & will retry again...

So glad to finally have the imperials automated. Can play solo or with a smaller group more readily. I do wish the campaigns from the boxed sets was available in the app, but new campaigns are great too.

Totally doesn't work. It didn't track unit position so nothing actually move to the right place

So far so good, hopefully we will see a lot more scenario's as DLC that use our current parts rather than needing more physical future expansions.

I got this game thinking I can play it not so I can be told "you can't play until you drop $80 on the board game" thanks for wasting my time

If your app won't progress past the splash screen, disable lux! That did the trick for me.

Looks great. The option for the instructions to be read aloud by the app would complete the app for me.

Love it! Bit of a learning curve using the imperials, but a great way to play by yourself, or with a group co-op.

Great app, used it for four missions so far. Sometimes the suggestions are off but other than that, no problems so far.

Excellent start with an outstanding tutorial. Keep it coming FF! Looking forward to many campaigns with the expansions I own.

Really just a terrific app. Great way to play the game. I REALLY wish it included the campaign from the base game.

I have been waiting for this for so long. I'm glad it is finally out.

I was super stoked until I realized it was a companion app, would be better if it was a digital version of the game...
