About Strategy Pro

New to version 2.0: Original soundtrack and sound effects added to the game.

This game of strategy follows the rules of Stratego. It is a 2 player board game, where each player controls a set of different pieces that are unknown to the opponent. The goal of the game is to find and capture the opponent's flag. Because each player cannot see the opponents pieces, discovery and exploration are an important part of the game.

This version of the game comes with 3 different board sizes: 10x10 (the standard size), 7x7, and 5x5. If you only have a few minutes and want to play a quick game, this allows you to pick a smaller board.

You can either play against another human (pass and play), or against the computer. Have fun!

The game is obviously a very 'strategy-orientated' take on stratego - which is reflected in the functional graphics. This isn't a bad thing, but the lack of any serious challenge from the AI is a serious drawback in a game supposedly about strategy. A few tips: 1.) You need 3 levels of AI with different strategies and difficulties etc. 2.) The AI needs to stop randomly placing their army pieces, as it can just wreck games when theyve put their flag at the front (..again) or blocked themselves in (..again).

We could play online with other players

Pass and play! Thanks for this awesome clone!

Works great for pass and play multi player. Also does not require Internet to play. Far better deal and better multi than other options. Also very clear to see and play.

I was searching for Stratego on Android, this one is not popular yet so I wasn't expecting much... but this implementation looks very nice. It's playable and I can enjoy Stratego on my Android. Let's hope it will be developed in the future, would be nice to have configurable AI and graphics (tiles). Thanks for good game! :)

This is a cute & simple adaptation of a board game I played endlessly as a kid. A couple small things aside, it's very well done. I'll echo the calls for stronger AI and sound; I'd also do without the animation of the "floating pieces" during setup, to speed up that process significantly.

Great job, nice and simple, easily worth a couple bucks (honestly, it's the price of a coffee...). Thanks for making one of my favourite board games as a kid into an Android app! If I can request a couple things though. Difficulty - the AI is very easy...need more of a challenge. Sound - unless I'm missing something there is no sound, and really there should be. Very close to a 5 star game!

This is an excellent game, but it is too easy once you get the hang of it. Higher levels of difficulty would keep the game interesting for longer.

I lost the first two games but have subsequently won the next twenty. Very predictable gameplay on the part of the computer. Can't adjust difficulty.

Keeps it simple. Keeps it easy to use and fun. Just how this board game should be.

Wish you could play against others online....or more levels of difficulty

Thank you Sam, for implementing this classic game. It took me three tries to beat the computer, and I look forward to playing it against my son. It's my new favorite android game.

Totally worth it. Is Stratego in every way but the name.

I've enjoyed playing this game and find it challenging. Playing against the computer helps me improve my game, but sometimes the computer seems to make stupid moves and seems to just bounce between adjacent cells. It appeared that the computer took more of a defensive roll than an offensive roll. Even with these shortcomings I like the game and I am finding that I turn to playing the game more than anything else on my phone when I have a few minutes. I do like the fact that there are different 'levels' of play. One minor issue for me was that I didn't remember the rules (I know the rules are simple and they would be easy to remember after only a few games) and the menu button does not provide access to the rules. They are only displayed once, when I started the game. I look forward to improvements in the intelligence of the computer...
