Fallen London

I LOVE this game, but don't play it mobile. This app is horrendously glitchy, and often doesn't sync properly. I've had a number of times where the app freezes or gets indefinitely hung up in loading. This is a poor way to experience the game. Google either "Fallen London" or "Echo Bazaar" (same thing will come up) and play this in a browser.

Was enjoying this but since the election thing started I can't do anything. Says I need to add people to be able to participate but apparently there isn't a single person I can add to play against, n the few people it found, it then told me they weren't eligible. Killed the game for me. Uninstalling

6 months later: still very happy! And caved to the subscription, but stand by my statement. I play and love its sister game, Sunless Sea, and was excited for the opportunity to back Sunless Skies, which I eagerly await. I'm not experiencing any issue with the election, and the game is currently in a content rework and expansion push, oh boy! The quite low limit of 20 turns/1 turn every 10min is tooth-gritting, and I don't feel the subscription offers quite enough, but hot damn, I love this game. I love it so much. The overwrought storytelling does a masterful job - it avoids feeling pretentious and is instead atmospheric and compelling.

I love fallen london, i really do. But this app is broken. If i have to close it, i have to delete and reinstall the entire app to get it working again, and even then it is a 50/50 shot as to whether ot not it'll actually work. Ive been trying to play it mobile for about 2 days at this point and I'm done. I was looking forward to taking one of my favorite browser games and being able to progress at work or while on the road, but with this app it is nearly impossible. So my recommendation? Ignore this app, play the game on your browser.

I like the game and its concept. However, every time I open it, it asks me to log in again. Afterwards, whatever progress I've made isn't saved, and I have to do things over again. This makes it a frustrating experience, unfortunately.

Might be the greatest mobile game of all time, but I'll never know because is impossible to get past the first loading screen. The only writing I've experienced in this game is "checking for content updates." This game is not playable. Give it a miss.

I've played this game in a web browser and found it to be an enjoyable game. Unfortunately I can't get past the registration screen on the mobile version. Should Failbetter resolve their programming bugs, I'll give Fallen London a higher rating. Until then delicious friend...

Here's the deal: I adore Fallen London and Sunless Sea, etc. But this app doesn't work quite right. It doesn't remember my login info and Everytime I log in, it takes me back to very begining, no matter how much I had done in the game, even after manual sync. Please, please, work out the sync feature, and login issues. I would use this app a lot.

The game is great in many aspects and is very satisfying for a fan of interactive fiction gamebooks. The writing and choices are well done. But 1) the loading time is too much after each choice (2) It becomes kind of repetitive in making the same choices to gain progress(3) Character sync seems to hang and stop further play . It deserves a 5 star for all the work put in but please solve these issues BUT OVERALL ITS A GREAT GAME , A MUST TO PLAY

i previously wrote a review stating broken issues it had where my progress wouldn't be saved, that is no longer an issue and i am happily playing this daily, i just wish i had more actions or they filled quicker. and usually i have to completely close the game and restart it for it to give me actions when i should have them i guess it needs to sync to update that

This game is pretty buggy and slow on my Galaxy S5. I ran into a login error that has been there since beta. (App just goes to black screen and requires you to force close it) Getting past that, none of the images are displaying (other than the menu). Gameplay wise, it is fun once you understand the mechanics.

It's good. The grind seems daunting, but it can be done. Don't worry about echoes, focus on your traits. Unfortunately, the synchronization process was unreliable and now simply does not work for me, even though my internet connection is good. Not a fan of being stuck in a Groundhog Day loop. It also gives you the option to Continue even though it hasn't synced instead of actually syncing. Annoying and misleading for those in a rush.

Some of the items (Like a Free Evening), I don't know where to find. But that's a side quest. Everything else is wonderful! I love the game, and although others seem to have glitching problems, I never do!

I wish I could rate 5 stars cause the game itself is worth it but the # of bugs/glitches (from sync not actually syncing progress and having to replay what I just did to game not even loading up and stuck "installing" even though it's already installed and update) I've encountered has lowered the rating for this game. I'd rate this 4 stars but it happened not a few times BUT NUMEROUS times. I discovered this game on mobile before pc so I'll stick with it but it's tiring to see these problems happening time and time again :(

I would rate higher but the app keeps crashing and losing my progress. There wonderful content of this game is hindered by faulty rexhni am mechanics which breaks my heart sin e it was line of my fave browser games. PLEASE FIX FAILBETTER!!!

The game is awesome in browser. I'm giving the app another chance. I can't find the opportunity deck, I can't access my profile (all I get is 10-15 minutes of "patience, delicious friend"), and the whole app is a bit too slow on HTC U11, currently latest phone in the HTC lineup.

It's a good online game, but the app is poor. Exceedingly slow, and unresponsive to touches. The sound is often noisy.

This game would be great if it didn't take minutes to load. This occurs even at full bars in areas with my carriers service. I've run out of patience, delicious friend.

This could have been a great game,if it wasn't for all the bugs. I couldn't even get past the part where you make your character

Crashes. Takes forever to load. Slow response is frustrating. Takes to long to run the 20 actions. Crashes. Crashes more. Needs whole different approach to code. Painful.

The three times it loaded, it was enthralling. Unfortunately, the other 97 times it was stuck checking for updates. (P.s. It's broken.)

Great writing... But extra content costs too much (would love to support the devs, but multiple AAA games together cost less than this) and there are constant syncing issues.

I do love Fallen London; it's fantastically quirky and enjoyable, but the fact that it's very glitchy and won't sync properly 70% of the time is incredibly infuriating. I keep losing all my progress because the game won't sync. I'm probably going to end up deleting it until stability improvements are made.

Game refused to load. Five minutes for a vlack screen to disappear and was stuck on the loading screen. Would not load at all. I recommend the mobile site over the app.

The game is fantastic but this app is the worst experience of my life. Its slow and is a miracle when it just starts up without getting stuck on the many startup processess

When ever I leave the game it loses my progress, i even did a sync and created a new account and everything, but it didn't work

Downloaded this game to see if I can fail better. Yep, failed pretty hard on my grades.

Google login has been addressed, but Twitter is not working either. Log in via twitter and then get taken back to login screen.

Same issue as everyone else: "checking on content updates" won't go away. Please fix!

The browsergame is great, but this app's performance is laughable at its best, and soul-crushing at its worst.

The only positive of this app is that you can subscribe using Google Play. Long loading times and story skipping pages are major problems that have yet to be addressed after a year.

Huge problem. Just a black screen and a second later it says "unfortunably,Fallen London has stoped"

This game has some of the best writing I've ever seen. I definitely recommend playing it online more but this app is a good way to play it on the go. If you're a fan of stories, steampunk, mystery, or just looking for something to inspire you and pour sometime into, play this game.

Love the game. Unfortunately after the latest update the game freezes while loading. Any news on the updates?

"Checking for content updates" is apparently the one and only puzzle in this game. It's stuck.

Great game but like others are saying, even if you follow directions exactly, the sync feature is not reliable if you want to move from phone to desktop.

I love the game. Ok the infinite load screen is not so infinite. I loaded the game and let it sit to see what happens. After 3 mins it opened. The more I open the game the quicker it has loaded. Averaging 8 - 20 secs. That is my experience at least, so far.
