About MSX.emu
Advanced open-source MSX/ColecoVision emulator based on BlueMSX with support for the original hardware up to the TurboR. Future updates will add support for the Sega SG-1000. The majority of BlueMSX features required to run most games are already supported with more coming soon (tape support, improved on-screen keyboard, etc). The app is tested on the Xoom, Galaxy S2, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, NVidia Shield, Xperia Tablet Z, and Xperia Play, but works on virtually any device with similar or better specs.
Note: Additional MSX system files are required to use the app with floppy disk images. A BIOS is needed if emulating ColecoVision. See the website for setup instructions.

* Supports ROM (.rom, .mx1, .mx2, .col) and Disk (.dsk) programs, optionally in ZIP, RAR, or 7Z files
* SCC and FM sound support
* Internal SRAM and save state support, auto-save and ten manual slots for save states.
* Configurable on-screen multi-touch controls
* HID Bluetooth/USB gamepad & keyboard support compatible with any input device recognized by the OS (MOGA Pro, etc.), Wii controllers also supported if running Android 4.1 or lower, all devices support custom key profiles
* Works in any orientation
No ROMs are included with this app and must be supplied by the user. Transfer games anywhere to your internal storage/SD card and browse to them from within the app (default SD card directory is /mnt/sdcard).

Robert's emulators are the best and are so polished. I have never had any issues with any of them on all my devices. If I have had any questions, he quickly responds! Get his emulators, you will not regret it!

While this is primarily MSX it is the best Coleco emu on Android. The Colem one has terrible sound (Try Space Panic, all wrong on Colem) and some games even lag on an Nvidia Shield! This one has MUCH more accurate sound emulation but is not perfect (the digitized voices in games like Squish-em don't work right). Works great on Nvidia Shield with real controls.

I own all of Robert Broglia's emulators, and they are always the best. With a very consistent interface and high compatibility/performance, they set the standard. My only complaint is that he should make more of them!!

Plays (almost) every game. GUI somewhat confusing. Have to download the BIOS of the machine(s) you want to emulate (not very user friendly). "Chase H.Q." crashes, even though BlueMSX runs it fine on PC. TOO EXPENSIVE.

I like it. Beats FMSX on everything but looks in my opinion. The only reason it doesn't get the excellence rating is because it won't play Metal Gear. On the other hand it did play Metal Gear 2 flawlessly.

... maybe youll have better luck. I was looking to play a disk (not cartridge) based game through this emulator, which the website claims is possible if you download bios files and copy them to the directory/sd card. No go. Tried to email the guy about it, no response. This emulator didn't work out for me, switched to "the other" msx emulator you'll find on google play, very little complications, works like a charm.

The experience running this on Samsung galaxy nexus (ICS) is amazing. The emulator has stunning menu overlays and a slick modern layout. Excellent work!

This is trully an excellent emulator - it is slighty over priced, but definitely worth it. The best MSX emulator on any portable device. (incl PSP) Beware! The wiimote option does not work on the Samsung Galaxy S & probably other Samsung Devices.

Like any of Robert's emulators, the UI is polished and easy to use. It also runs everything I send to it smoothly (mx1, mx2, rom, floppy disks...). The overlay keyboard + D-pad are nicely implemented. Developer is responsive and keeps his work updated. Note: Don't forget to unzip the bios files (see website) in /sdcard. Also, I had to enable 'GPU Sync hack' in the options. Samsung Galaxy S/Froyo.

The emulator runs perfectly, the price is a little high but I'd say it's worth it to carry around these classics with you anywhere you go! Well done!

Completely incompatible with all the coleco roms I tested. Get ColEm imstead.
