Catan Classic

The game is great, but there should be ranking. What happens in most game is that when a player is losing he quits the match. Super annoying. Also I would like to play with people on my level. Last thing, you should add an option that says you are waiting for 4 players. One more suggestion: filter expansions in a quick match - I only want to play C&K but it usually finds me the regular game.

Love this game, however since update to Oreo on Pixel I get no video. Please look into this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Edit: Game updated and working fine for like a month or so. Life got difficult so I am just getting back to rerate.

First of all, Catan is the best boardgame ever made. Four years ago, when I bought this program, it rocked! Now..updates to AI just skew probability rather than actually improve AI. Lazy programming. Quit sitting on your laurels and code some good AI for gawd's sake.

This game really needs a ranking system! The game itself is very well put together (I have only played multiplayer). If this game had a ranking system I feel like players would not drop out of matches as much... very frustrating to say the least.

I really enjoy this game. I like that you can play it at your own pace, picking it up and putting it down whenever you want. But I'm having an issue playing it on my Pixel 2 XL: often, when I open the game, I just get a black screen. I then have to force close the app before I can start it up.

Overall decent game but A LOT of UI bugs. When I try to move a ship, I select it but then it disappears and I can't interact with anything. Development card window will have parts of the UI missing.

Buggy game. I tried playing with my brother in law online & the app wouldn't let me add him as a buddy. Popups will appear blank then load the text or images seconds later. Fun game, poor implementation.

I used to really enjoy this game, even with all the bugs it was still playable. But now, whenever I try to play online I get an error that states "error while handshaking." This ruins the whole experience as this app was the only way I was able to play catan with my friends who have moved thousands of miles away. If online multilayer isn't resolved then I will have to stop supporting the developer and warn all my potential buyer friends to do the same.

Honestly, I'm on the verge of uninstalling. I want to like It, I really do. But like all 'strategy' games, this game falls well short in AI. Setting the difficulty above easy doesn't make the AI better players, it just makes the dice rolls absurd and the AI players target the human players from the start. As a one player game, it isn't even fun. In fact, it's laughable. The dice rolls are so predictable it will make you laugh out loud when every time the robber is placed on your tile- and I do mean every time- and the next dice roll is that same number. Every. Time. And it doesn't really matter how you play, the dice eill be skewed against you. I've played literally hundreds of single player games... hundreds... And the number of times I DIDN'T finish last in total resources collected can be counted on one hand. No exaggeration. That's just lazy programming. And that defines Catan for Android. Do.not.spend.cash.on.it

Love this game. Hate this app. Rolls favor AI. Having to play this 3v1 is infuriating and frustrating. Write fair AI and I'll reinstall.

Overall a great fun game! However it is a bit annoying not being able to see the total VP you need to obtain for each game to win. (Pls make this visible) also the computers are pretty vicious and unrelenting against you... 2nd comment... So as you play campaign it become more more evident that AI is against you. The dice throws are definitely in favor of the bots. The game threw nearly 10 8's and zero 6's (I was on 6) then I managed to get on an 8 and it only threw 2 8's the rest of the game. Then it would consistently roll 11,9,5, or 7. All were the bots numbers and only the 11 mine. I was in 3rd place and I was still being attacked by the robber... When I'm in first it's unrelenting which I can understand, but 3rd place??? Come on...

Brilliant port of the board game, so much better than the universe garbage you are trying to pedal as an updated version. I'll just stick with this one thank you very much.

The game is fun, until the AI cheats and rolls the numbers it needs, while moving the thief only to your squares and last straw for me, is that a dice roll came out to 11(my square) it do the action on 10(the AI square) so I let this slide, then 3 turns later it happens again roll a 11 and the action is taken out in control AI square 10. Game is Rigged for you to lose.

I read a few comments and i played lots of time single play mode and it not realistic at all. Every time i lead the game all the IA hit on me... but the thing is... if i have quite a few good points but at least one IA better than me i still get hit on robbed and so on . 7 hits way too many times when i have plenty resources... if i need one resource from one of the players and i know he has 3 of the and only one other that i don.t need... when i rob him i end up with the one i don.t need most of the time. But when i.m robbed and i have resources that i need... i.m robbed of them .. despite that i only have one of that an 3 of others.. it.s single mode... should be more balanced . Still.. a good board game to play but not on phone tablet...

Terrible AI. If the robber moves to your square you are guaranteed that the dice will roll that number. Terrible AI coding and dice rolls. Trade screen keeps glitching.

Great game overall, although, I'm currently having trouble connecting to online servers as it exits and says 'error while handshaking' is there a fix?!

Dice rolls are not random. This ruins a strategy game based on dice rolls for obvious reasons.

I love this board game, but this app ruined it for me. Rather than program an effective, strategy based AI, the devs clearly designed the game to cheat. The dice rolls are not random, and favor the AI. If you are playing against multiple AI opponents, they work together to beat you the way human opponents wouldn't. There is an in-app chart that shows what numbers are thrown, but it neglects to point out all the times the dice roll your numbers right after the AI places the baron on it, as if the app is specifically designed to gaslight you. Even in the games you win, every opponent earns more resources than you in every game; the only reason the AI doesn't win every single game is because it spams development cards, and it rolls so many 7s that it loses a lot of resourses. The AI isn't written to play like a human being. It's written to be a pain in the ass. If I played the physical boardgame against human opponents who played like this, every game would end in a fist fight. I am sorry I paid for this app. Spend your money elsewhere.

The main drawback of this game is still multiplayer play. It would be nice if it were easier to choose the multiplayer game they are going to join. If you choose the quick option, it takes a while to find the game and then when it loads you either accept or reject, and if you reject you were taking all the way back to the main menu. It would be much better if upon rejecting you were immediately shown another choice. Also it should be possible to boot people on the screen where you confirm that you are ready to play. If two people drop out in the middle of a game, one of them times out and then you get taken back to that screen which announces they have timed out. But if the other person never presses that they are ready to play, the game can never continue. So if two people leave at once, the game is impossible to complete. That has happened to me twice this week. If you guys are ever updating the intelligence of the AI, I would make them respond with greater variation to deals that offer two resources or three resources for one. Generally, it seems like they accept or reject the deal regardless of how many cards you are offering them for the card you want. Real players may change their mind when the number of cards is increased. In Cities and Knights, AI does sometimes change its mind if it is offered a commodity instead of a resource, but being persuaded by multiple resources is a different thing.

I have had the game for years. I love settlers and while there is graphical and interface issues, in the end of the day it is settlers without the need for tables and friends nearby

Love the game. Will give 5 stars if: Make it so it doesn't run so hot on my S7. Make the blue and green a bigger contrast, (I have a hard time telling the difference between the colors).

Anyone notice that the PCs get 4 resources for Year of Plentys. Bold cheating or bad programming, take your pick.

This app drains my phone's battery in a major way. Often, after <30 minutes of play, my phone will shut off due to 0% remaining power.

Too buggy to play. When you switch screens then go back I just get a black screen. Makes it impossible to complete a game if you need to check emails etc along the way. Useless.

Great game, but STILL VERY buggy in spite of updates!! This game has been around for years with few updates in gameplay and even fewer bugfixes. A great game that you happily pay for - the more annoying that after years PC opponents and game freezes, dices throw the same numbers up to 5 times in a row, resource fields miss to give out resources,cities have to be dismantled in spite of enough active knights, online game regularly kicks people. How hard can it be, this is not a graphically intensive or super complicated game, AI is not that clever, gameplay has hardly changed in years and yet..buggy buggy buggy (LG G2, iPad mini, Samsung A3, Moto G4plus)

After updating the app has an error saying 'handshake error' and so the app I've paid for is now useless

Pixel C and Pixel updated to Oreo (Android O) and the game video stopped working (NOW FIXED). I play the game nearly every day.

Current new android updates makes game no longer work on Samsung Galaxy S8 plus

Cant get in to play, it would let me register to play.

Disgusted that I payed for this and nothing works.

The games dice a rigged. The game either makes the game too easy for you or screws you with every night placement and dice role. Certain characters (usually winning ai) role 7s constantly moving from themselves to you. Then it roles the number several times while its blocked. Its bunk, and doesnt seem to have any randomness.

I love the board game but I feel like it is not rational. There is no way some of the scenarios would happen in real life. I play on the hard setting and the players don't get any better, the game just helps them a lot more. Play online against real people or just be okay with playing 3 against 1.
