Backstory:

Being a child of the digital game generation I never paid much attention to classic non electronic games. But recently, as mobile games are trending towards becoming easier and easier until a point where you can now win by almost just coughing at the screen, I realized I really miss being challenged. After all, a key benefit of games is they can improve your abilities in some way, if they challenge you.

I started to look into crosswords, and found them really fascinating. As a tribute to these classic timeless games, I decided to make a mobile version to make them more accessible to everyone.

The first thing I noticed during my research is most existing crossword applications have a very limited set of crossword puzzles. So, how about limitless number of crosswords? OK, you got it! Say hi to a database of hundreds of thousands of words and clues, and an unique algorithm that creates nearly limitless high quality puzzles for you.

This was accomplished by running custom made complex data analytics tools over many weeks, gathering and analyzing billions of words, sentences and potential clues. An AI algorithm then ranked these based on quality, resulting in a high quality final database of words and clues. The actual crosswords made are completely unique, no other player will ever see the same crosswords as you!

The second thing I noticed is that crosswords can be intimidating due to the difficulty level. So, I added multiple difficulty levels, a powerful hint mode and multiple clues to each word. It means you can grow your ability gradually, and you can see this reflected in your high score which you can use to challenge yourself.

The game has been tested on Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 4, but I did my best to ensure it runs well on most Android devices. As for tablets, not so sure as it is designed for small screens, but feel free to give it a go.
