Text is in upper case. Children learn to read lower case first. I used it with a 9 year old struggling reader who found upper case confusing. It also uses non-phonetic words eg fly, lion, bear. Children would have to have a good phonological knowledge, above the level that this app is pitched, to spell these words. Afraid I'm uninstalling and looking for something less confusing for early decoding.

This is an o.k game for ages 1-4. Once the first level has been completed there are no new words to learn just extra letters. I don’t understand how level 4 is supposed to be difficult when the same words are in level 1-3.
