From the makers of Dropwords, Word Tunnel is word-finding puzzle. Dig your way down the tunnel - used letter tiles crack and break, revealing new ones below. Gold and silver tiles at deeper levels have score multipliers.
The game can be played against the clock, or in a more slow paced and thoughtful turn-based mode. An untimed mode is also included.
The game offers three dictionaries, selectable via the game's Options dialog:
1. Scrabble: contains all the 2-to-8-letter words from the SOWPODS list of Scrabble competition words. This amounts to 114575 words, including both US and UK spellings. Because this is a Scrabble dictionary, proper nouns like "June" or "Rome" are not included. Plurals are included.
2. Webster's: based on the Webster's New International Dictionary, 2nd Edition, this contains 120130 2-to-9-letter words. Includes some proper nouns, but not plurals or Scrabble-specific words (such as my own favourite, "QI"!).
3. Both! The combination of the Scrabble and Webster's dictionaries; this is the dictionary used by default.

Does the tunnel ever end? Some of the lower-level blocks are not changing in appearance (besides cracking once or resetting to a whole appearance) when you spell words with them. I am using the no timer no limit game mode.

OMG...I have not touched Word Drop since I found Word Tunnel. Screamed when I hit 10,000...so cool! I would like to see more board variety and perhaps surprises in the tunnel. So far, it's been fun with the dynamite...BOOM!!!!!!

Absolutely the best! Totally addicted, could play for hours! Love the multiple modes & dictionaries. Nice graphics. The x2, x3 bonus letters make you want to play even more! They helped me get my best ever word worth 324 points with only 4 letters! Such a fun way to pass the time so easy to get lost in it! Good job! Great game!

It auto rotates when it shouldn't. Doesn't save games like it should. It needs some sort of tunnel background. It's almost full blown Crapware

Can u update for the latest that should not be automatically rotated when I different rotation my phone . Its keep rotate when my phone move around... or cn just add option there for users want auto rotation or not.... TQ

This app is overiding the orientation lock and rotating anyway. I would like to play in bed, but the annoying screen rotation makes it impossible.

Could be a lot more fun if it truly had a complete Webster's dictionary. Missing too many common words to note. Challenge is okay and the optional changes to up the challenge like no 2 letter words, select dictionary, and board size helps. But come on, how can this be just missing basic words that dumb down the game play?

This is honestly a GREAT game, except for one minor glitch that is so annoying as to greatly distract from gameplay: the game does not LOCK into any one given position. Turn off auto-rotate... it turns anyway. For a game where time is everything, having your view suddenly shift can be ultimately frustrating. Been playing two years now... it has never been fixed.
