Conscientia - A Text Adventure for Android
Simply the most engaging interactive fiction experience. The design, UI, BGM, sound effects, character portraits, and script come together in perfect harmony (and at times, perfect dissonance) to create a world and story I could not put away for more than a few minutes. As it were, I'm hooked, and eagerly await future updates, Books, and knowledge. Kudos to the developers; Conscientia is perfect.
Although buggy at times in its current version, it presents an atmosphere of certain intrigue, and is well written enough to keep me playing. edit 20-May-2017: Some situations result in no valid actions being available, as three choices are all conversations which immediately end, unless of course I choose combat or meditation, which provide some avenues out. Also, some occasional crashes occur, usually when loading a save state at or near some similar condition. While the dialogue mechanics are somewhat interesting, they also seem to be the pitfalls in these cases.
Fun and innovative game.
26 May, 2017 Edit. The intention to give the player more control was what makes this game promising. But with some rather brilliant text-adventure / CYOA games available on Playstore, some improvements are needed. I would have liked to play in portrait mode but that option was not there. But it is the bugs that do let the game down. I had to uninstall and then reinstall the game several times to check if further progress in the game was possible beyond what I had reached through several savepoints at one go. Yes, I'm stubborn that way. But every time I got stuck at a point where the options either would not work or the game crashed. Like the Temple of Biracul at any location. Or when you choose to open the portcullis and banter words with the mage at dawn fortress. Also if you try entering the red tower at Ur'ruk. There r several more points, too many to name here. So for me, the story remained incomplete. I am confident, however, that if these issues are fixed this game can be a great one. 25 May, 2017. Too many bugs / glitches. No options to customise the screen. Some explanation about the gameplay would have been nice, like what the figures beside each option mean and how they affect the game. The premise is interesting, holds promise; but the actual game disappoints.

Uhh what? This game makes absolutly NO sense.. i get out of a chamer, get killed by a mage, get revived, then go to sleep and here the credits come? Did i do something wrong?? Can you explain this to me please? EDIT: I keep trying over and over with different choices and the mage always ends up killing me and i finish the game with no idea of what is going on.. i feel like im missing something big here
