SW Battlefront Companion for Android
I bought Battlefront about 6 months after it came out. I downloaded this app but never really got in to it until recently. I'm glad I did because credits aren't easy to come by when you don't have a lot of time to play. This has doubled my credits and made it possible for me to buy more Hutt Contacts to get all the killer weapons available! Love this app and LOVE Battlefront! Thanks EA!
Everytime I try to use the app and go into Hutt Contracts i'm getting an error message and I'm told to try again. This has been an ongoing issue and it still has not been corrected. Also the top item on the homepage never loads and everytime I try to go into my career statistics it makes the app crash. Like my title says, the app could be useful if it worked, right now it's just a useless waste of space on my phone.
Since I'm from the 31st century I was unsure if I could understand this 'videogame'. I was unsure if I was capable of playing your game or even understanding its mechanisms.. *breathe* but this app helped me considerably. Zapp Brannigan enjoys it too, he's just at good at crashing aircraft in the game as he is in real life, so I'd say it's pretty realistic.
This companion app is not only thorough and useful, but has its own fun game to earn Battlefront credits. I personally stopped playing Battlefront due to the lack of content for base price and outrageous Season Pass requirement to get enough content for a normal game, but still play the game in this app quite regularly.
Definitely well put together there's no denying that. But I feel the difficulty dramatically increased too quickly and credits earned dropped just as quick. I'm playing as well as when I started, haven't lost a match in about 20 matches, and I went from earning 400+ credits per match down to less than 100 per match. Averaging about 60 credits per match and dealing with the difficulty is frustrating. A free game that does play very smooth and allots you credits to spend... I can't really complain.
It's a good game and great for killing time. I also like that you can check stats of your own or friends stats. It doesn't have any Ewok characters tho so I only gave it a 4 star rating. They probably could of added R2D2 as well.
This app is very good for battlefront users. If you are a serious or casual gamer this app may help you. It has a game in the app and it helps you let's say my friend is playing battlefront but he doesn't have a phone you will know he's playing. But why not just go on the Xbox to check if they're playing ? This method is much more inconvenient and wastes battery power. On top of that if you want to check anyone's kd or anything like that it will tell you. Overall A+
Easy to operate and fairly useful companion app. The siege mode isn't my cup of tea, but isn't bad by any means. The only thing I don't like is that the app lacks the ability to create new star card hands, which is odd considering it USED to allow you to.
I originally downloaded this to get my battlefront fix after the beta had ended but I ended up getting hooked on Base command which is AMAZING. My favourite part is the fact that your achievements in the full game grant you new and more powerful cards to add to your Base command decks. I would recommend anyone who has star wars battlefront to try this because even if you don't enjoy Base command it still tells you interesting and brag worthy statistics plus you can purchase items like star cards and guns.
This app lets you slowly build up credits towards your battlefront account. The seige mode is actually a fun and challenging mini game and reflects your star cards from in game. I recommend it to anyone who plays battlefront and poops at work.
Pretty good to help get money for battlefront unlockables. The game gets ridiculously hard unless you have all the heros, though. I wish your units could be updated so they wouldn't become so useless, though
It's quite addicting. Has replay value. Even once you finish all the missions you get them in "master" difficulty as well as having the extra challenge of getting all 3 stars in all missions to earn more credits for the actual game!
I started out intrigued that this game could earn me credits in Battlefront... and it grew on me, the more I played, because it really is fun in and of itself. It reminds me of Castle Panic, which is a fun co-op board game laid out just like this one. And when I realized my star card upgrades affect both games, I had to leave this astounded review. :)
The app asked me if "I would mind rating the app", when I chose "Yes" (as in yes I would mind), it brought me here to rate it. Also, since the outer rim update, the scan pulse cards sometimes freeze the game and force you to restart! Especially infuriating when you're at the end of a master difficulty level and have a three star rating and it messes up your game! I had to remove these cards from my decks which sucks because they are very useful cards! Please fix this and I'll up my rating!
I don't have battlefront yet. Should be getting it in less than a week, so I though I'd be preemptive and try to rack up some credits and oh my gosh I think I found my new favorite mobile game. It's crazy how fun base command is! I do regret however that you can't purchase any new cards without playing battlefront. So I'm Kindve stuck for now... NEW: the introduction of daily sieges has given me something more to do while I wait for my edition of battlefront.
Companion is a nice addition to Battlefront. It provided a way to earn credits outside of the main game for a little while. Unfortunately you dont earn anything for replaying levels, im not saying the gamplay is bad but its feels pointless during the 2nd time. There are some questionable game design choices that only annoy you for no good reason. 2 stars my seem a little low for others but I think all this needs is improvment to earn higher ratings. To conclude, Companion has potential.
This companion app is the best of all. Congratulations EA, finally you did a good companion app! You can even earn credits on it! It comes with the base command game. I REALLY recommend this for players. All in all, 5 star app!
I love this game!! The graphics and the sound gave it 3 stars alone. It's amazing how they made this go with your account on the actually game. You get coins for defeating the imperials and the main bosses such as Vader and Greedo. It takes some time to get use to which card does what and how much but after you figure it out will be beating Walkers like they were nothing. Be aware that you have to play the console version if you want certain cards like Han Solo and the hook cable to take town an Walker. You can buy upgrades on here and see which friends are playing right now. Making your personal deck can be trucking but luckily you can always go back and make a new one plus you get 2 decks and a custom made one. Now be careful with which cards you pick and always save your money wisely have a blast!!!
The app has some crashing problems once in a while. It will close suddenly after a mission but it has only been a slight inconvenience. I recommend it to anyone who plays Battlefront because it alerts me to updates as well as providing a time killer mini game. Keep working on improvements EA! Love your content!
It does exactly what you'd expect for a companion app but also has a decent game to. Nice linking with main game although rewards are a little stingy I think. All in all a job well done, thanks folks.
Base Command was as addictive for me as the game itself - it's just a shame that I've got all the stars now! But for me, I use this app to quickly check on stats, especially how far away from Diorama accomplishments I am. Also very handy knowing your K/D right down to exactly how many you've killed and how often you die. 6/5.
This game was fun for 1-2 months, then boring. You conned us into buying season pass and almost 5 months later and no major DLC yet. Unacceptable. You dropped the ball on the biggest franchise game in history. I had 50-60 friends that played this game.. Now, not a single one. Good job at squandering the biggest video game opportunity in the last decade.
Now every single campaign I did is gone and all my credits earned are gone after the latest update to the game. I never uninstalled the game either >:/ I will be uninstalling it now. Thank you EA for ruining Battlefront.
This is the Chewbacca to the Battlefront Han. They go perfectly hand in hand. Battle Siege is a great way to get your Star Wars fix if the other half or the kids are hogging the TV. Plus it's fantastic for checking your progress to collect diarama figures. If you play Star Wars Battlefront or just love the genre this is the app you're looking for.
Detailed stats section is a great place to keep your eye on stats, achievements, and diorama progress. Base command is fun as well and you can earn extra credits for the full game. Update: never play offline without an internet connection because it won't update your progress. (3stars on hard missions will have to be completed again)
It is a pretty good app but I have one complaint. There is no way to look at your kill death ratio per game you can only look at it per your entire gaming experience. The Destiny Companion app has a similar features but it has both your per game game records and your overall record. Since every time we complete a round we see those particular stats. Why can't EA incorporate this into the companion app.
I am a huge Star Wars fan and I went to the midnight release of SW Battlefront to get my copy. I shortly thereafter found the app in it is heapful in many ways. Just remember: this is a companion app, not the full game. It comes with a mini game, but the majority of the app is giving latest news updates, the ability to edit your character/profile and star card hands, and checking on friend progress and their loadouts. I hope you enjoy the app and game combo as much as I have and most assuadly will.
Love the app, love the game. Have one problem: app won't allow me to turn off notifications regarding who among my Xbox friends are currently playing Battlefront. Moto X, running current Android software. Please address and I will amend review to reflect deserved stars.
I like everything about this app. Ability to edit cards and hands, info and news feed, and I fell in love with base command so fast... I'm glad they added a daily event, because I burned through the campaign fast! And it is a great way to plan and refill on charges for star cards so you can just sit down and game as soon as you get home. I would also love a "compare" feature, so I can see myself vs other individual players (friends or not) side by side. Thanks for the addiction, guys!
I love the articles, features and the siege game. Particularly how it ties into Battlefront (the points, cards etc). The only problem I have with the siege game is, I completed 64/64 levels and it appears to have started over (i assume so I can 3 Star everything) but everytime I start. it always goes back to Walker assault no matter how much progress I make in the game. There needs to be more control over the ability to select levels etc in siege. Other than that, it's a great little app!
Passes the time but you won't earn points or credits unless you're currently online - no option to keep playing games and sync later - which limits its appeal when in areas of no signal (work, in my case - I'm forced to socialise with my colleagues during lunch times instead).
The mini game was the best part. Other than that, this companion is pretty much a news feed about the game. I would have liked to see more content that interacts with the games audience. Maybe some simple star wars themed puzzles to unlock some concept art from the game, or heck, even some star wars trivia.. add more interactive content dice and I will up my rating to 5 stars. Update: 3.2.2016, the app has become more buggy, crashes often, usually in the middle of a game.
Didn't realize how helpful this app was gonna be in the beginning. To think I almost didn't download it. It really is a useful tool, I admit I haven't played the siege game much, although that's not to say it doesn't have merit. Overall I am happy with the app. Totally recommended to a friend that was initially equally skeptical, and he too found it useful. Especially keeping track of accomplishments and challenges not completed.
This app is great and all. The only thing the actual video game lacks is customization of characters. The app should also allow you to customize your character. You don't need to go overboard like advanced warfare did but give us more options to work with.
I am not gaining any leveling points to my player account even though my account loads fine. Also I do get some credits but they are far less than the points I get when completing each match. When playing online in battle front it is about 1/10 ratio of points to credits however on here it is more like 1 / 25. Otherwise the game is fun.
Great app to track stats and manage your profile. The in game app is so addictive. I gave it 4 stars before because I want more detailed break down of stats in order to track specific in games achivements. They provided that with the update. It can still be more specific. In specific with tramples and head shots with specific weapons. After the update this app is way better and more addictive.
Real easy to use and lives up to its name. Mini game is fun and will easily fill your SW:BF needs if you're on the run. The mini game comes down to the luck of the draw sometimes. Which can be infuriating, but the daily is a nice 750 credits.
I've only been playing Star Wars Battlefront on solo missions so haven't ranked at all so I can't spend the credits earned here yet so it's very much a separate game. I enjoy it, and can recommend it for a short strategic blat each day.

As a person who loves to play Star Wars Battlefront and has friends who play it too, this app is amazing. You can check on your friends' achievements to see who is a higher rank. This makes playing with your friends more competitive and fun than ever. In addition to checking on your friends you can even earn credits with base command on the go. Personally, I love this app because it gives me a head start and an advantage on my friends. This app does not ask you to buy anything, giving it 5 stars from me.
