Mass Effect: Andromeda APEX HQ

Holy crap this thing is so slow and unresponsive on Android. It takes 15 minutes or more just to start a mission or complete it. It is a huge step down from the easy functionality of the N7 website for ME3. Either the servers it connects to need a huge update, or a lot of the code needs to be streamlined to speed up functionality.

Using a S7 Edge, this app constantly goes unresponsive, when it does work it is a nice utility. As of right now I find the frustration of the lag in the app to not be worth it.

A hot mess wrapped in pretty wrapping paper. The User-Interface while pretty is thoughtless, counter-intuitive, and sluggish. The network code is absolute garbage that results in an inability to use the core feature of the app--Strike Teams. This app is absolute crap.

All this app does is shows splash screen. I don't really know how developers can mess it up that bad. It does not advance to login. Nice job, EA, really cool anecdotal case.

The recent update has made this app much more usable. A lot of data in the prestige sub-sections still fails to load though. Keep making improvements, and I'll keep upping my review.

Really need Microsoft login and PSN log in I can't log in because my Xbox live account is not linked with origin and I can't link it for some reason I have had the same account since Xbox 360 launch with the same email and for some reason it registered me for PC

Crashes have been fixed. Only issue I still have is wrong name on the leader boards, and I don't care about that.

The rating will increase when the app allows you to manage strike teams. Right now i get a message telling me that i can only manage them from console.

Very useful app, even if you're just doing single player. Only bug I've seen is the achievements aren't displaying properly.

Doesn't work. Can't get past "disable privacy settings on your xbox". I can log on for pc only, but i have andromeda for xbox one.

Well i does what it says it does. and it is really informative. and can do a lot of things without being in the game, and the fact that it allows apex missions is just great.

Love the layout and the availability but I can not work with my strike team. I keep on getting an error and told to close the app and come back.

Impossible to login via my Xbox account. Could login to both PS4 and PC though... Will change my review when the auth functions correctly.

Good concept but needs work, wouldn't let me modify saying I needed to close out of the game, my system and game are both turned off, no power going to the system even

It doesn't work at all. I can open the app but it freezes once it gets to the very first title screen.

Can't even log in. Says XBOX privacy settings are turned on, turn them off to continue. They've been off since i bought the console so what gives? This needs to be fixed! ZERO STARS

Careful! Skill Points spent have NO Confirmation Check before applying​, I accidentally screwed a build b/c of this. App is good with most MP info accessable, Strike Team deployment is v/useful. Some UIs separated into too many layers (like the game) or large graphics/unused-screen spaces when they could show the info you want​ on 1 screen w/o extra steps & taps, eg: - Skill Trees where there's empty space at the bottom that could easily be used as info frame with less tapping to&from a new 85% blank screen with only 1 sentence & stats, or 2 small buttons; - Strike Team page, Traits could show right on the team's "cover" for example. Option to clear all pending Notifications when App is opened would be good too.

App works as intended. Being able to control strike teams while away from the game is great. I would like to see a vibrate and notification tone option. It would also be cool to see your friend's progress as well.

This is a great app. I love being able to control my strike teams while at work! My only gripe is that I can't customize the notification tone... I'd love to have one that is ME specific, rather than my general text tone. Add this feature and it'll be 5 stars!

UPDATE: Now the game has released the app is full of errors I can't even access my strike teams sections as it states this functionality is not currently available. Please exit the game to make changes with the app. The game is not open nor is my PC even on. This is app breaking and makes the whole thing useless. This app is handy however the nameplate selection always returns an error and it would be a nice feature to have the mission traits described somewhere or even a list of them as nowhere in the game or the app does it do this

Finally able to log in after playing the Xbox game. Game is ok. New missions don't appear fast enough. You quickly burn through all the bronze missions at low levels then you have no choice but to do silvers and golds and fail on them just to get xp.

I work away for ten days at a time so I love that this app let's me do missions while I'm gone. It runs smooth and I have no issues with crashing. However it seems that my team's level is the only thing that determines my success rate. The traits don't seem to impact this at all. Is this a bug or am I just wrong about what traits help what missions. A guide or explanation would be nice since right now it's all guess work.

I like that you can run strikes when away from the console but I don't like how it does not work if you are in game. I would prefer to be able to play multiplayer and launch strikes between matches instead of having to drop out of multiplayer to run a strike. Also PLEASE give us the ability to disable "So-and-so is playing Mass Effect" notification. It's a cool option to have but give us the ability to turn that notification on or off. I only care when my strikes are ready, not that someone is online playing.

App runs pretty smooth. Lets me complete strike team missions even when I'm out or still at work. It's nice to have a few rewards built up waiting for me when I get back to the game. It's not the simplest layout to navigate as far as accessing character pages and loadouts, or spending points in a skill tree. It's also crashed once, but I'm sure that will improve with time and increased user base. Overall it does help put more ME:A into my hands when I want it so I'd say that's a good thing.

Sadly this app won't work for me. I've tried opening on multiple WiFi networks that crash the app. If I use it via 4g the signal instantly drops to e and makes it unable to get past the title screen. Shame as I was looking forward to this app and some people's reviews here have made me feel it is a very useful app.

On a Samsung S6, this is a smooth, sleek app that allows for dispatching and debriefing of strike teams, management of multiplayer character kits, and even some item store purchases. Some item and character management is a bit cumbersome, requiring the traversal of a few too many screens, but loading is snappy and controls are responsive and it looks and feels very much like Andromeda's UI. I have experienced zero crashes or other performance problems.

In theory I like this app, but functionally it is incredibly unresponsive. You can spend minutes tapping on something with no response. Very frustrating. I also don't like how it tells me I need to be off the game when I've been off for hours.

Really bad. You can't actually collect your rewards or manage your strike teams, and it won't even sync properly. It hasn't updated since... Wednesday night? It's not even close. It still shows my infiltrator as lvl 5 when it should be lvl 13.

Im having problems with game. Every time i try to send strike teams on missions whether through app or in game it wont allow me to. In game it severs the connection to online and in the app it tells me i can make any changes while game is open even if the game is closed. Other than that when it works its great.

It's still in its early days, so glitches are to be expected. When the app works it works very well, useful, sleek, everything I'd want. However it will randomly not work, claiming features that worked 10 mins ago aren't currently in game. Or insisting the game is still open in my PC. Then of course there are the crashes.

A nice little app for the New Mass effect game. Just have to pick up on one error - that when a Strike Team finishes a mission, you "recieve" XP. That should be "receive". I before E, except After C, remember. It's amusing that such a grammatical error is allowed on the released product.

Says my strike teams are on missions but they clearly are not so I can't even play. Why do games and apps always get released partially done and full of problems?

APP FEEDBACK; Switch persona button is immediately next to Switch account button. Switch account button has no confirmation on whether or not you actually want to log out. I play on PC and Xbox, this is pretty annoying

I love that I can keep my strike team running when I'm not in the game! Only thing EA needs to give us now is an app for the codex in Andromeda that updates with entries you unlock in-game

Nice app to go along with the game, makes strike teams a lot less tedious when I can do them away from home, and being able to customize characters makes it a lot easier to set yourself up before you start playing with some friends. The app however, needs to be optimized. There aren't any animations at all, and this app is essentially a collection of widgets, so I shouldn't be crashing and traversing the menus should be smooth.

Why tell me that the function is unavailable everytime i try to do anything? Just makes me think why is the app available for download if nothing works? At least this app is consistant with the rest of the game-buggy and half assed.

I'm not sure what's wrong with mine but I can't move past the splash screen. Will attempt to reinstall and try again but I've left it up to 10mins just to see if it will decide to load and nothing happens.

If things change, then I will change this review. But right now the app won't even launch. Any time I try to launch it it just goes to the splash screen and stats there for literally ever. Since I haven't been able to use the app at all, I'd give it a zero if I could. I've reinstalled it three times, restarted my phone twice, checked to make sure it was the only app running, tried it on wifi and data and then one or the other. I've attempted to do every stupid thing suggested on the EA's FAQ site and nothing works.

Could be good, but keeps saying turn game off to make changes in app. Even if I do a hard exit of the game and shut my console down it gives this error message. Maybe a bug? Running on Android.
