Only 4 stars because the ads are insufferable until you disable them with a $0.99 in-app purchase. Touch screen controls are just okay...Tetris really benefits from button controls, but I'll say they're good enough to enjoy the game. This is a modern Tetris: think Tetris DS rules, not Tetris Gameboy rules. Not a bad thing, but just an FYI.

Ty for having this on Android EA Inc. You turned a classic, for a gamer like me, to a state of the art game. 5 star rating, no issues. Love it! Was worth 99 cents to pay for ad removal :-) Adding to this review, a flaw (at least on my Android with this game). When in competition, if both me and my rival top out near or at the same time, paid version I have, it shows no blocks on my end and my rivals continue to play, I see them, but nothing works on my end to continue, end or restart. If others have this issue, please respond or EA games. Running on Kitkat Alcatel One Fierce 2. Ty.

My biggest complaint is that there is no way to actually turn off music, at least not that I can figure out. I've got both music and sound effects down all the way. Music still plays, but sound effects are off. This isn't to say that I do not enjoy the music, but that I want to listen to my own without overlapping music sometimes. Otherwise, it's a solid app.

It's a great game, except when the ads pop up and don't let you exit, even after the video ends. I have to close the app every time an ad pops up. There's a non-video ad that has an x on it to exit, but when you tap on it, the x disappears but the ad stays. I'm about to get rid of the game.

My friends and I are big tetris fans and always love to play. We always compete for high scores on our own time. It's nice to be able to sit down, plug in some headphones, and listen to your own music without interrupting the game play, that's one of the great aspects of arcade games. However the newest update of the game has broken the feature allowing you to turn off the in-game music. I turn down the volume and it just refuses to stop playing music and SFX sounds. As minor of an issue it may seem, I have lost almost all interest in opening up the app knowing that I can't play my own music in the background. I'd love to see this fixed soon. Besides this one bug, the game runs great and is fun to play.

Fixed the controls for a while, but what ever you guys just did messed up the entire game! Now my tetriminos just teleport do the Bottom at ran in marathon. Nice one

Great version of Tetris, I'm honestly really having fun with it. Kinda wish there was less ads, but whatever keeps the game up. Really recommend it! Also, for the ad thing, it's actually not even a bad situation of ads, haven't completely tried out the other modes of the game though, so I guess i cant be too sure.

I love Tetris, it's a really good game. It's stops cravings, you can play it in space, tetriminoes, that stuff, but I would've rated it five stars if it had no ads please? Nobody likes ads.

This app was killing me with commercial's and out right spam. I paid for it so that I might be free of the 30 sec game ads... after uninstalling and reinstalling I still have the commercials. please get it together

This is too easy. The blocks dont move down until you want them to. Not to mention, the way the blocks come down, eliminates many different spots you could usually get into. Im dissapointed.

It's good overall although the controls can be a bit you by sometimes and not do what you want them to. Ads can be annoying as well. I still play the game though. ;)

The classic tetris is great. The Explorer mode is ok. Nothing special. The puzzle mode is stupid. I couldn't get past all the tutorials to actually try it. Got so frustrating I decided to write a negative review. Too many ads too.

The settings are lacking options, and don't work. You can't mute the crappy music at all. The app plays ads every chance it gets, I ended spending more time watching ads then actually playing Tetris.

While it is a visually lovely adaptation of the game, I find the controls klunky, especially in the classic mode. Sliding a piece into place can be difficult. In one-touch mode, the selection of landing positions is rather restrictive as well. And lest I forget, the ads are often difficult to return from.

I liked my old version better. This one speeds up way too fast. My old version came with some fun options that added functionality to the basic game, whereas this one just has some annoying arcade games and ads. Disappointed.

I like listening to my own music while playing a game. So I always turn the game's music off. I turned the music off in this game but the music still played. I tried to turn it down to 0 many times but it keeps on playing once the game starts, no matter what. It's too bad, I used to like this game growing up. But I just can't play it on my phone if a bug that huge is keeping me from playing it as I want to.

ads on this version cause game to lock up. controls & gameplay on the galaxy version totally sucks. marathon is the classic tetris we all know and love, but the music is just ... weird. conquer version is ok, is somewhat like a multiplayer version of marathon. you try to outlast opponents that are playing alongside you in realtime.

Great little game, but this add thing just sucks big slime ridden dog poop! I would much rather cut my wrists than deal with the interruptions. Just sucks! I would happily pay $5 and be able to play. Its coming off my tablet.

Very touchy. If you try to move a piece over, it registers that you are flipping the piece in the traditional settings. I haven't played the newer settings though. It's still a great game.

It's Tetris. Do you like gravity pulling blocks to the ground at a quickening pace while you panic in an effort to find a place for said blocks? Great. Play this. Or throw Legos at people. I don't care. You do you, boo boo. I won't judge.

This isn't Tetris it may say Tetris for a title but its EA so what can you expect. They gave Tetris a versus style game mode and thats dumb, a campaign which requires you to "mine" to get to the bottom and thats also dumb ITS TETRIS EA HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY SCREW THIS UP! Jeez just one game EA please just one good game that you don't ruin completely. Thats just my opinion though there are multiple people here who have differing opinions on what they did to Tetris try it out for yourself you may like it.

I love Tetris! Who doesn't? This app gives Tetris an extra flare and it really makes it just challenging enough to keep you interested ; but not too hard to frustrate you. The only frustrating thing, is that they ask you to rate them all the time. And if you do "ask later," because you do want to rate the app, just not yet, it will keep asking every few minutes...

The gameplay is fun, but it drains your battery fast. They have ads that are videos that never load properly so in order to go back to playing I have to close the app and restart it.

Although the game is fine, the ads are super annoying and intrusive. You can't turn them off and they break through even a silenced phone. I'll probably delete this app

The only downside (one star deduction ) was because of the ads. I don't mind the ads themselves, but even with the sound on the game turned off some of the video ads pop up and play at full volume. That's inconvenient when you're playing in a public place like a library (or meetings or classes).

This game has taught me some real life skills. I am now able to go to the bathroom in an efficient manner. Sex life have gotten significantly better. And now I am able to eat Pancakes without thinking about dog butts.

On my current phone, the controls for the audio doesn't turn the audio down or up for both sfx and music. Because of this I can't listen to whatever I want. Everything worked fine on my old phone and still works fine on my tablet.

My phone is used for only 2 reasons! To make phone calls and to play Tetris! I love the app and will always play the game with this app through Google play store. Thank you for keeping this classic game as an option.

The game no longer remembers your preferred starting level. So I have to manually select Level 5 with every game. So the update made the experience worse. That said, it's a great game. Not bad.

Leave it to EA to ruin tetris. Scores no longer mean anything because you can just watch an add to keep playing after you lose.

Look this is a great game and I love playing it, but after having this game for 2 months there's to many ads. I have to watch one to play the game when I loads. Then I have go watch one when I open. The galaxy and then before and after each level. One of the ads they are playing now won't go away unless you close out of the whole app. If you dont you'll have to sit there and stare at a black screen until the add reloads and plays again. And again. And again and again.

I think this is a great idea but tetris is way to hard to swipe cause you will swipe and it thinks you tapped and It completely ruins your game. Good game and design bad controlls

Requires Facebook login to track stats. Gameplay modes are just meh. Too many ads unless you pay. Disappointing overall. Overcomplicated a classic simple game.

I don't like being told where to place it . it's like being a kid. Ruined the game for me.will never play this again on here.

Controls are a little odd, but that's to be expected on mobile. My only other complaint is the amount of ads. Otherwise, solid game.

Kept kicking me out of the game for no reason. I would try to go back into it and continue but it just did it again. Had to keep restarting the app and was just very annoying

Time to relive the old days. Tetris out now Also in color. It's just like the 90s except in color I have played this game in GTA Called Qb3d and when I played I was like hey this is like tetris. But a different name. Love it make more Amazing game

Too many video ads that are unskippable. At least the app remembers that you beat the last level before you rage quit the annoying groupon video that played after you try to return to the level select screen and you've seen it 3 @)$#ing times already today! Just for that, I'll never use Groupon.

This is a very entertaining way to play Teyris on the go. It's fun and challenging at the same time. I love it!!
