Caos Trigger: Golem (Demo) for Android
The game itself is nice. It really does have that old castlevania feel to it. The controls are really shoddy though. The crappy-ness of how you control your character really ruins the gameplay. I think the problem is that the buttons are too small, especially the virtual d-pad. Perhaps make them adjustable from the options menu. Other than that, the game is pretty good.
the controls just aren't responsive enough. it is almost impossible to jump and attack, a staple move for this type of game.
Controls are impossible, they need a complete renew. But the game itself is possibly the best metroidvania game at the play store, if not one of the best of the genre out of the very Castlevania series. Really sad it never got enough to be finished.
I really hope that gamepad support is implemented in the final version. I can see why people have had issues with controls, but I mapped the onscreen controls to buttons on my Nvidia Shield, and the control was nice in this game. As for the crest of this demo, I really appreciated the homage this game pays to Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and graphics are very good, .
How the heck do you do this bs???
Good game but i know how to do it.
The movement arrows need to be bigger. I took so much damage because my thumb hit a millimeter to the left. Also, the attack animation has a moment or two after it that doesn't let you attack or move. I can't play it fully due to this fact.
Controls are awkard. Been a while and no updates. Deleted. Shame.
You'd think "retro game studio" would know how to make a pixel art game that doesn't look like crap, the resizing on this is terrible. Amateur animation and gameplay. Don't bother.

I hope there will be more updates.
Can you please make the touch screen controls a little bigger
A lot like castlevania but the controls suck.

This game have potential! But the let down is that the controler (the d pad) is kinda hard, and it's so difficult. I have to agree on some people here. Can't wait till the full version is release.
Please put out the full version already :)
100Stars
This game is not like castlevania because this game hv bad controller 100% bad and to slow and is hard and to level up is stupid my real review 1 out 10
Cool retro graphics, classic Castlevania style game play. On-screen controls are a complete disaster. Character will stop moving suddenly for no reason, attack and jump button do not register every tap, incredibly frustrating. Hope the final version has a fix for this.
As others have pointed out, for being a demo, the game is far too difficult which is largely due to the controls which feel more on par with an emulator and not a game optimized for portables. Still, the visuals are a real nostalgia trip and their is potential for a real 5 star title.
The game is an amazing castlevania style game i actually liked this but i just couldn't get very far cause i can't stand touch screen controls....if this comes to console I'd definitely be buying it though. Touch screen controls is why i gave it four stars though sorry
Can you please make the touch screen controls a little bigger
This game brings me back....to the very last level of castlevania games!!!..this shouldn't happen on the first level of a demo and I'm well experienced in metriodvania style games. Balance it out and lower the damage of these things so normal players can survive long enough to get to the kickstarter page! Lol. Suggestion: to meet your goal this time, make several more areas and bosses by April and charge $1 after the first boss to play the rest. You should make enough to do a full game easily worth $5+
Not bad at all. Feels very close old skool Castlevania:sotn. Which, imo is a GREAT thing. Lookin forward to see how it shapes up-
Either im right,or i havent seen an existing android game which VERY closely resembles an actual Castlevania game. 60fps,smooth animations, and engaging metroidvania gameplay..goodluck with your campaign!

High potential. Controls are bit shoddy right now. I recommend studying the jump velocity, and speed of the castlevania games as the controls allow you hold the jump button to choose the apex of your jump. This would be a great addition the 3ds or steam. Nice job so far.
