Titans of Space® Cardboard VR for Android
This app is too slow paced to use as a first VR demo for people with short attention spans. The content at the end: several enormous stellar objects were fun. One can imagine what it would be like look at even larger, or more exotic objects in space. I hope the authors receive enough funding and encouragement to go forward.
I'm using a Nexus 5X but this app's FPS is just 23. The narrator sounds like I'm listening with a high speed fan between us. Not sure how to fix this......UPDATE: I stopped using my Bluetooth headset to listen and instead turned up the phone's built-in speaker so I can hear it contained in my View Master. Though the app still runs at around 23 FPS, the audio and the rest of the experience seems perfect. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because I can't jump directly to a planet, out of order.
I'm new to VR but I've experienced quite a few VR apps and videos so far and this is one of the best experiences with this new platform that I've had! Very immersive and the graphics are awesome. I'm confused about what I read at the end of the tour though. It asked if I enjoyed the narration at the first two stops of the tour. I never stopped and went through the complete tour in one sitting. Am I supposed to take a stop on my own for the narration or is it supposed to be automatic?
This was incredible. Ive always been into science and space but seeing it like this just gave me an entirely new perspective and made me feel so small. My only complaint, even though you're in a ship you have to keep spinning in circles to keep the front window in front of you. Good thing im in a wheelchair because you couldn't just sit on you're couch and take the trip. Well worth the effort though.
This app does not load for my Intex Aqua Desire HD . Downloaded and installed this app for three times , every time the app starts up but is struck to display video. My phone has NEON CPU extension . Hope the developer will release a new version of this app supporting much more smartphones in future. This will make the app much more popular .
It was really nice and very good quality graphics. However, having to turn the head down all time to press a button to move forward spoiled complete immersion. Why not have it auto move, or use the cardboard button to go/stop?
All vr experience's need to be like this. Not with crap graphics and rubbish controls. But intuitive , informative and enjoyable at the same time. I've seen this all the way through about 5 times now. And the last 3 with the narration, which I also highly recommend. If there was an expansion to this I would buy it instantly. Thanks for putting in the time to make this. You have a loyal customer for life.
I have a g4, and all I get is a black screen, without any narration, text message or other notification to wait for it to begin. Not sure if I obtained the whole app since when I download it I am warned about size, but it is only 31mb. About the app states it is near 350mb. Would love to experience what all the fuss is about.
Absolutely amazing, even on my old Nexus 4, although it must be a _way_ better experience on a more high-res phone. At first, I thought was slightly disappointed by the "wrong" scale of the distance between planets. But that was only during one of the "stages" of the app and you get to at least appreciate the distance between earth-moon-sun.
Looks like a great app, but I can't get it to run on my Galaxy Note 5. After installing, I restarted my Note, still won't run. I tried airplane mode, still not working. I get as far as selecting drift/no drift, (tried both), then tap to continue and it goes black and nothing happens. Did I miss something? I'm trying it with Google Cardboard.
All I can say is wow, I felt like a kid again while inside this app. I've always been fascinated by the Cosmos, and to jump into a VR tour of our solar system was such a treat! I highly recommend this app. Worked great on my Samsung Galaxy S6
I pulled up a lot of VR stuff with serious disappointment due to quality. But this is "out of this world" good!! I seriously was entertained! I immediately did the in app purchase and it was definitely worth it. Can't wait until your next projects... Worth Every Penny!!!
Indeed very good tour of our solar system and a little bit behind. The graphics could be better, improvement needed. Right now, they are all like picture, however you could many clips of sun activities instead of just a lifeless light. Anyways, I appreciate the time you spent on this, or else no one could ever "experience" the outer space so good.
Lots and lots of work needed here. LG G3 here and it runs like a dog's breakfast completely horrible experience. Goes from 30 to 1 frames per second and no fluid motion at all. I have zero issues with any other vr games so this was a shocker.
My initial rating was 1 star because this app was not getting started on samsung note 5.. but after re installing again as said in description i found this vr app to be super awesome and educative. Whole trip of solar system was so immersing that you won't like getting out of it. Best vr app on play store so far. .
Amazing, educational and wondrous journey through known space, primarily concentrating in our solar system. Works very well on Galaxy S7 edge, still some drift even with anti-drift mode. But like most VR, sit on a swivel chair while using.
Pretty cool, the 3d visualisations of the planets look awesome. The zoom is a bit much, but they're trying to go for a consistent scale so I guess that's what happens. Lots of drift but I've seen that in everything I've used so far. Great concept and really engaging. Great app. I can't wait for this technology to improve!
The front alignment seems to veer clockwise so I am constantly having to physically chase it round which detracts from the overall effect. If I look straight down the view flips so that I am facing backwards. Could try turning off auto rotate next time but I've never had this with other VR apps. Enjoyed it apart from that though. HTC M7
If this doesn't turn your kids into budding astrophysicists nothing will. I went through the free version with my mouth open, paid for the tour and so glad I did. Some absolutely eye opening facts and figures here, professionally presented as if you were on an Epcot ride or something. I've no negative comments at all. A wish list might be little pop up pictures or animations for key points of interest and maybe turn the music down a little bit more before the narration starts. Best Android VR app EVER!
This was the best VR experiences I've had thus far... and we're just getting started here, wait in five years what a trip this will be. Every VR program has a bit of drift, but it's nothing a swivel chair can't handle-lol. This is beautifully done.
if your device can handle it, i highly recommend it. simply puts everything in perspective. it would totally be a waste of space if it were just US in this universe. go vr on this one. I'm writing this right after going through the whole tour. what a great experience!
This is some quality stuff. The best VR app out of the ones I've tried yet. Detailed and fluid. Taxes the CPU and drives the temperature on the higher side though but that's okay. The experience more than makes up for it.
I just got a cardboard attachment and controller. I got this looked like fun to try out. Unfortunately, it simply doesn't work. Yes it runs, but I can't control it with my controller at all. Trying to use settings sends me to an app that says it can't work on my Android device which is less than a year old and quite expensive. This was just a waste of time.
Vry poor.. Can use only one eye to see.. Using both eyes causes two seperate images... Don't know what's the problem.. Scanned qr code also... But no solution
-except the Carl Sagan quote. Who is he to decide if the universe is a waste of space or if its sheer immensity demonstrates God's love for humankind. After all, HE said he made the EARTH to be inhabited. Just Sayin'.
If you're new to VR you might want to watch a few other videos first. Because after you see this all other VR will be compared to it. It's a great adventure. Sit in an office chair that spins around to really feel like you're I the spaceship!
This was my first Cardboard app using. Cardboard itself was a pain to set up--which gave this app a rough start--so I missed the option for the narration option for the first two planets. I only know about it because of the option to buy it at the end. If the narration matches the rest of the experience, there's no way I'm NOT buying it! This app is perfect! I still feel woozy and might throw up a little bit, which if you ask me, is a great sign! If you're even slightly intrigued about space, get this app!
If ever there was app that shows the importance and future of vr this is it. Can't imagine what this will be like when there is even better model rendering and animation of the planets and suns surfaces.
Man it was a beautiful experience like all things technology has its imperfections but for what it is it's very big bold an beautiful also informative I recommend everyone try it...
Initially stopped with blank screen after load screen. Uninstall/reinstall fixed this for Galaxy S7. Awesome experience, music adds to atmosphere. Even learnt some things! Highly recommended.
so you got your headset, but everything is so short and difficult. this is what will change your mind. brilliant
Incredible experience for space lovers! App is highly resource intensive though, so phone heats up. And needs a pretty powerful device to work well. Didn't work properly on a friend's Samsung S3.
The only reason it didn't give it a 5 star, because I wanted a little bit more animations with the sun and planets. For example if you look at the sun in star chart and just replace it with that sun it would've been awesome. Otherwise the app is great and beautiful I'll be looking for updates. I'll support an hd version with all the bells and whistles. Great work!
Absolutely stunning how well this app puts you into space. It's fun informational felt like it was something I would do at a museum for a small price. You really do need a good smartphone for this to work properly. But that's true with any VR experience. I have an HTC One a9 and it works perfectly with this app
I thoroughly enjoyed this app. The amount of information and imagery they give you for free is fantastic! !! I will definitely be contributing to this the second I get a chance to buy a google card. Love it love it love it.
A wonderful travel in the solar system that takes you out of time and space. See how small you are, then stop complaining and enjoy your life!
Simply made me and my dad cru. Awesome experience. Even supported you guys via PayPal. Now that you gotas 2 new fans, we are craving for more. Keep up the good work!!!
Wow. I just received my first Cardboard and this was my first VR app and it was amazing. I walked away with that sense of wonder and amazement that only an experience this incredible can give. It felt like a more immersive version of a planetarium show, and reminded me just how small our planet and so many of our problems truly are.
Excellent App worked like charm . If you face any black/Blank Screen Issue please un install and do a fresh download from Google play .

An absolutely incredibly beautiful app to spend your time on but the only problem I have is the tracking of your head when using the vr. The screen where all the information about the planets is always in the most awkward position. I start the game and it will be directly in front of me and then i go to a different planet and the info screen will rotate 180 degrees and end up behind me, that's the only problem i have discovered so far, please fix this and the app will be perfect.
