I Have No Mouth for Android
Meh. Feel like I wasted $4. I had to use a walkthrough to figure out what the heck was going on. And even then it's convoluted. I'm glad that people love this game. I'm just not one of them.
Brain-teasing warped point-and-click adventure made like the good ole days. It transported me so well into another world that I sat up past 12am playing itjust like my nerdy 13 year-old self used to do.. Just a great game.
Great game, there's many alternative endings. Took me a week to finish with an hour or so playing time each time i played
Bugs make game play difficult when you can't tell if events not happening are bugs or part of the puzzle. I looked up the walkthrough and it just doesn't work.
As much as I was drawn in by the narrative elements of the game, the design of the puzzles is just sloppy. For example, opening a door may require you to use either the "go to ," "use," or "push" commands depending on the situation. Clicking on the wrong item , even by accident, can cause you to fail and force you to restart the level from the beginning - which means "discovering"all of the clues a second time. What makes this even more infuriating is that certain actions don't become available until other completely unrelated tasks are fulfilled. This leads to a tedious process of circling around all of the available areas, trying to remember which item you forgot to look at. Sometimes, the solution to a puzzle is simply to repeat an action, but trying to figure out when this is the case means reviewing a much Greater number of actions in vain. While I want to applaud with this game set out to do, you would do just as well watching a play throughon YouTube.
Thank you for bringing this to Android, I have been wanting to play this for years!
I initially requested a refund for this game within 15 minutes of purchasing it due to lack of storage space but got no reply. After a day or so with no email back from dot emu I decided to clear some memory and download the game as I did want to play it eventually.0n the 3rd time loading my save file I get a message saying that the language needed to be changed ... I clicked ok, now the game just force closes. Emailed dot emu and still no reply. I WANT A REFUND.
Having no previous knowledge of this game's story other than that really strong title helped since the game thrusts you into a dirty, perverse, unnerving world with complex characters with decent dialogue to back it up. It was a genuinely pleasant surprise what fun this game was in terms of gameplay. Character details and worldbuilding occurs at a natural and brisk pace so it's way too easy to spend more time than you planned to play. The voice acting is a bit passe in spots, and the ending scenario is somewhat less interesting than the individual character trials but hey I'll still definitely play it again sometime.
There are some bugs, such as not being able to move, incorrectly placed graphics, and wrong movement paths - not sure if these are in the original or are emulator issues. That said, it is an interesting story (a bit dark, a bit sci-fi, a bit surreal) with generally good voicing. The puzzles are mostly logical and supported by clues. The controls work well on a touch-screen.
A few major glitches (loaded my save to find my character invisible and unable to do anything so had to restart multiple times) but overall amazing game and storyline. I would recommend having a new save file every time you start a new character to have multiple backups
While the game itself is fine, the app seems to refuse to go beyond the "Preparing Game Files" when starting a new game. Reinstalling the game as well as a hardware factory reset doesn't fix this issue.
The game, for the 10 minutes I got to play it, was amazing. Now, the logo for the app has turned into a greyscale Droid and crashes immediately.
Crazy adventure fun.
Still holds up today storywise, the gameplay while good (updated a bit), can get frustrating as it came from when point n click puzzles were somewhat nonsensical. The good is you play multiple characters, some are more straight forward, the bad is others will annoy you with convoluted puzzles that have to be done at a certain time to work and may need a guide. The ugly is that, while you have to start over there are cool dead ends and a morbid story for each and overall. A great trail rather than adventure.
Download if you have a few dozen hours to kill
End of review. Buy it NOW. AMAZING!!!!
The commands don't always function as designed. Walk to the door often means just that - to it rather than through it. Voices are good, great storyline. Just some glitches that need to be worked through
One of the best, most disturbing titles from the golden era of PC point-and-click adventure games. Must play for fans of science fiction and horror alike. Now, much more accessible (and affordable) than ever. Thanks DotEmu for doing this!
Thank you for bringing this to Android, I have been wanting to play this for years!
If there's a dialogue, the game is showing only the first part of the dialogue.
I'm happy to say that this port did the original justice. The tension and mystery is still here, and is one of the most disturbing experiences available on a handheld device.
love this game, aside from the subtitle issues i haven't had any glitches that weren't already present in the pc version. thanks!
Pays an amazing tribute to a classic. Played this game many times on PC, now can play any time I want. Thank you devs. First SANITARIUM now I HAVE NO MOUTH. This is awesome.
Man oh man I am loving this company and the great job there doing on the oldies ...,without a doubt keep em coming
A couple of bugs but worth persevering with
One of the most interesting mobile games I have played.
Excellent game
More of this please
This is a must-play classic PC game! I've encountered a bug or two playing the game as Gorrister. Certain doors seem reluctant to work consistently... Most recently I saved on the tip of the airship and when I loaded the game, Gorrister didn't appear. He still speaks, but when i try to enter the airship again the game freezes. This led me to start a new game (and start over) as Gorrister... I can't really complain as this is Version 1.0 and a few wrinkles may still need to be ironed.

Besides a bunch of bugs I beat the game with this port with not much issues. On couple of occasions the character disappears (Gorrister on Zeppelin bow) and recently the game started crashing when cutscenes play. Also, the "karma" seemingly does not drop when I use the psych profile while I am sure it should.
