I wanted a game to pass my free time, and had my hopes high for this one since I've always had a soft spot for sea planes. But this app keeps force closing as soon as the game loads

There's no info as to what your supposed to do with this plane. It can't be just fly it wherever. Seemingly that's what it is unfortunately. When you get to the edges of what's allowed for gameplay you either crash or the game freezes. Without some sort of goal or objective this sim sucks and the music sucks even more. Sorry Matthew.
