Star Wars™: Jedi Challenges for Android
One of my dreams come true, I love it!
I am sooooooooo excited to fight like a Jedi ! I'd definitely recommend to my friend!
Having problems with repeat uses. The app worked perfectly when I first used it, then when I tried to start it again, the app would stay on the "searching for headset" screen after I inserted the phone into the headset and plugged it in. Last night I had to clear the data for the app and start afresh. I've invested more time into it now and I don't want to do that again.
Played once. Loved it. However, went to play today with my nephew and the app just sits at a load screen. No exaggeration here, restarted my phone and waited 12 minutes while nothing happened but a load screen and phone getting hot. Connecting was easy, and the game modes themselves are outstanding. Would like to continue to play. No idea what's causing this problem.
OMG, this is so much fun! I played through the first 4 levels twice just so I could give a proper review! Sweat pouring out of me; I smiled non-stop as waves of battle droids fell to my blue bladed lightsaber!!! The 3rd level against Darth Maul was amazing...difficult, but not super difficult...just a great experience that is obviously designed to prepare you for future combat in this game. I am not usually an early adoper of new tech, but WOW, this is what us Star Wars fans have dreamed of for longer than most people have been alive. Is it absolutely perfect, no, but it is a well thought out game with great hardware and an easy to use format. I will update my review if I find anything that is B.S. I will inform you all, but all is well with the force on this game!!!!!
Thanks game is amazing however, the connection keeps getting lost and the headset turns off. Error for the connection and to check cables. After ensuring the cable was connected properly it connected and in no less time than I put the headset back on, the connection error was back. Not sure of the headset is defective or just the cable. Going to have it swapped out and see what happens.
This is a prerty cool game. The set up process was easy, game play fun and entertaining. I see people sahing headset is heavy. I found it to be comfortable and not really heavy. I have the S8 and no issues. It barely got warm over 20 minutes, but it does use your battery on your phone. So far no other problems on replaying.
Its an amazing game, so much fun. However played with iphone 7 full charge lasted less then 45 minutes, when i pulled it out, the phone was extremely hot. Also headset was heavy and hurt my neck after i stopped playing would not recommend for kids till headset issue and phone overheating is fixed.
Despite a few issues (trouble connecting the lightsaber for some reason), this is THE VR (or in this case, AR) experience we've been waiting for. Now for a proper X-wing VR game. What a time to be alive.
Just set it up on my Nexus 5x. Not on the list official device, so set up was harder. Tip for 5x owners: add the light sabre to trusted devise and to sync the helmet, you got to manually give access to the phone as mine went to charge by default. Graphics are awesome. A must have for every Star Wars fan.
I bought three of these, two for a gift and one for me. My husband has been playing with it it took awhile for him to figure out how to do it, and he still doesn't have any sound coming out of his phone when he plays, he has to wear a headset. I am able to get the sound without any problem and he was able to help me set it up. However I couldn't figure out how to exit and ended up just turning off my light saber and taking my phone out of the headset. The instructions leave a little to be desired. I think I will ask support how I turn it off properly. However I think this is a lot of fun, I think Lenovo did a great job , although I agree with the comment it's a little heavy on my head. I can see if I wanted to play for a long period of time I might end up with a headache. I'm really looking forward to seeing multiplayer games that would be fantastic!
This app works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy 8 plus so far. I think the headset is better made and more comfortable than the Daydream headset which I also have and enjoy. But is it worth 200 bucks? If you want a high quality augmented reality experience or are a major star wars fan, then yes. But the big issue to me is what if anything Lunovo or others will develop for the headset in the future. It is amazing to me they did not market this as a hot new platform bundle and advertise other apps coming soon. Consumers should have a clear understanding of their plans before tossing 200 bucks at it in my opinion and I suspect this flawed marketing strategy may result in a bomb instead of a huge hit.
1) The headset is really heavy (needs a counter balance to be comfortable). 2) I bought a Galaxy S8 one month ago for this game, and after 10 minutes of play, the phone begins to get warm. I've not had my phone get warm with any other game, Chash of Clans included. If they come up with a better headset design, I'd be all for giving it another try. But as is the neck strain is too much, for only 10 minutes. The game was fun, sad to say since I had to return it.
Despite it not being listed I am using app and kit with a Sony Xperia XZ premium it does work fine if you align the screen as a pixel xl. Setup can be a little fiddly and isn't as quick as I'd like but game play is great. Had the light sabre go off centre a few times but a quick recalibration fixes this.
I give Lenovo a lot of credit for funding this. It's quite novel and has great production quality. The technology isn't really ready for prime time, though. Headset is heavy as others have mentioned. The lightsaber "glow" is quite laggy, even with Snapdragon 835. Inserting your phone into the headset and removing it takes a while. BUT, if you are a big Star Wars fan, it's going to be fun enough to have around the house for the holidays. One other thing, it crops out a considerable amount of the screen real-estate on devices like Pixel XL.
I have everything hooked up correctly but when I choose a task it doesn't do anything, or if I choose combat it just talks as if I've done something and I haven't. I don't see anything. It doesn't do anything. I don't understand so please help
This is by far the most immersive, entertaining, and enjoyable gaming experience I've had in a long long time. And it comes from my phone. Wow. (Yes, I'm biased!)
Started playing today, overall it's been a good experience so far. Haven't had any issues with it apart from my phone was very hot when I finished, just means I can't play for long periods of time. The lightsaber duels were brilliant, with the aid of the archivist I really got immersed in it and felt I was a jedi in training. I love the fact I can earn new force powers as I progress and can also rank up to jedi knight and eventually jedi master. I'm just hoping that Disney can add more to this over the coming months as I really want to keep on playing this so hopefully they can add other "training" to aid me in becoming an even more powerful jedi. Maybe add charactor levels into game, the more I fight I get exp points, level up and gain extra HP and attack power etc. Also would be great if we could do a Sith version of this, and learn the ways of the dark side. Once I have gained the knowledge of both the light and dark sides of the force I will be unstoppable!!!! Mwahahahaha!! Lastly, how can i exit the app? I've looked everywhere and have to just disconnect my phone whenever I want to exit the app
Fun so far, but you lose points because it doesnt fit my phone. I have a Note 8. I had to fabricate an object to position it and secure it in place. Samsung Note 8 users, this product will NOT fit your phone by normal means. Otherwise I love it so far.
Thank you, Disney..I spent 200.00 on This headache. I have a s7..so...that's to old??
Eh, I'm not coming further than a circle on the loading screen...
I have to purchase this
honestly I don't need to write a big statement why this game is good, all I need to say that this game is literally the most amazing, and fun interactive game I've ever played. good day.
**Update: discovered I'll have to uninstall and reinstall the game to play. Also discovered their support is as buggy as the game. I submitted the email and it just stuck on a grayed out page. Also, it couldn't find the issue in the first place which is why I had to submit the email. I'm not the only one with the "stuck on loading" problem either. ** ***Review remains the same. Regret*** Only works once. I so regret Buying this this whole thing. It worked the first time and now won't work again. It's as if you'd better download the app once, play the entire way though, then erase it and pass it onto someone else. Otherwise you're left troubleshooting what is essentially a 200 dollar beta test or a consumer study that you actually pay for instead of them paying you.
Best. Thing. Ever. Mind = blown
It just won't open on Google nexus 6 phone
It is horrible
Just got mine from Best Buy. So cool
It's fun and a great time killer
Thank you so much for game

Fantastic app. Future technology. Phone gets very warm and battery drains quite quickly but still love this app.
