Cork the Volcano for Android
I wish I could play this. The app crashes when it looks for the board. I'm on a nVidia Shield tablet, updated the firmware to the board, and I still get nothing.
Purchased new for Christmas. Requires firmware update on the board before the app will launch successfully. Kids have not played with it yet, will update after they've done so a bit.
Stopped working after one day
If it only worked...
The focus is too much on making it a hard game, rather than focusing on the programming aspect. For example - my daughter was just trying to play a level where there are bees going up and down. She nailed the program on the first try, but couldn't finish the level, not because she couldn't get the programming right but because the timing of jumping at just the right instant to not get hit by the bee takes a substantial amount of game players hand eye coordination. I'm fine with making the programming part challenging, but make it so if they get the program correct, they don't have to overcome substantial obstacles to win. Additionally, EVERY tile should be explicitly introduced during the game. For example, they show blocks with different characters on them (which means only other characters can go through) , and my daughter figured out what they did, but they should have a tutorial on each tile through somewhere in the game. It's keeping her entertained but she often needs a hand for things unrelated to the goal, which I don't like. Also, the board should have an on off switch. I hate guessing if the battery is good, or if it's just not connecting. Also, call the app Puzzlets - cork the volcano. It's hard to find without puzzlets in the name.
My daughter loves it!. Only issue so far is that on my Nexus 7 it has a black band on the bottom that cuts off the display where the Android on screen buttons would be.
My 7-year-old niece loved playing this game. The different levels require more thought but she enjoyed it!

It was working great and we loved it but now the app will not start (on the same device it worked on at Christmas plus two others). Would get a 5 rating if it worked.
