Le Havre: The Inland Port for Android
Love it. Another great board game port. Love the game and the background animations and sounds. Only weakness: The developers put a fair amount of effort into the intros, but they still need some work; I still needed to watch some YouTube and read the user guide to understand the game.
Black screen on Google Pixel. Will not load despite repeated tries.
Just installed and the screen just goes black on Pixel XL; no sound and no controls. I reinstalled the game and restarted the phone too.
Clever game, works well as an app.
Great game and the app makes it works well. Small improvement- when paying for building, it would be good to see how much has been paid so far, rather than simply saying how much you need in total, also someone I cannot login to the internet to play with others.
Excellent "port" of this game! (See what I did there?)
All the fun of the tabletop version on the go and without the setup. Would like a better way to track rounds, though.
After a few times playing it, its pretty boring, mostly for doing the same thing in every game.
Great game! Different strategies you can follow to win. Two player game against AI has challenging levels
I really like this game.
Great execution of a Boardgame that is fun
Really good board game. Strategic challenge. Developer helped me fix recent issue linked to Google Play Services. Maybe more options for fast or slow online play would be useful
Great implementation, but my phone gets so hot and the battery dies super fast while playing. Disabled HD and the performance improved greatly. Can't tell what's missing.
Plays very similar to the board game. Screen on phones is a little busy and "tiles" stack up and have to be scrolled through, but otherwise quite good.
nice game with a cool mechanic and opponent's interaction
Wish there was an extra hard setting, but other than that, excellent.
Good digital conversion of the board game
One of my favorite game apps. Fun strategy and a great implementation of a great game.
Fun!
It works well, apart from a small glitch that sometimes displays the start screen behind the playing board. One question though, should we be able to see our point total throughout the game? It kind of makes the whole end game counting pointless...also, that tutorial.... It was confusing and took me several actual turns on a subsequent game to fully understand what they were getting at.
The game itself is beautiful but the app can be extremely buggy. I find myself regularly having to kill the app and restart it to get the game to continue. Mostly buggy with the online stuff although it didn't seem as bad as patchwork. In one of my current games it disconnected during a turn and then when I tried again to use any building just have me a "missing loca" error. I was able to build another building but I don't know if this has fixed the problem
The App is very well done. I juzt find the game itself to be rather boring. It is very repetitive and seems to have a metagame that is difficult to escape.
Love this game and app, works great. Would suggest that it's better on larger devices though.
Would have gotten one more star if the AI was a little more challenging.
Fun
Fun game, decent UI. The tutorial is okay, but only explains mechanics...no real way to know how to win or what are good or bad moves. I had never played the board game, but after two plays figured it out. Moving tiles in rows is a bit touchy...it can't tell if I'm trying to slide the long row of tiles or pick up a tile half the time. Worth the money, good overall.
I really like this game. However, it does have a few bugs. It has a button in the middle of the screen sometimes that says "Next Game - Person" when you have multiple games going. However, it sometimes tells me that I'm in the middle of a game that was finished a long time ago. When I click on that button, it just shows me the summary of that game from a long time ago.
Love Le Havre, this has the same flavor. Fun!
This game is awesome and the app is intuitive and easy to use.
Never heard of Digidiced, but i see they have two of my favorite board games as apps. Digidiced hit a grand slam! Game play is just as good as board. Excellent animation, design (even on a phone), and layout. So thoughftully presented that this is how all board games should be ported! Patchwork port is equally stunning in every way
The game is good and fun but if play it many times , it may be little boring. User interface is good. Bug in the game is less, I found once that I can't open maybe cause of sd card and I fixed by reinstall the game. I think the game should have option to hide score or wealth on upper right and left for exciting and more fun and the game is too easy, it should have a very hard mode. If the game can hide score and has very hard mode , I will give 5*.
The game is good by itself, the AI is on the weak side. My same strategy works for all AI opponents. Against a real player however, it can get tense. The 24 hr timer is supposed to keep a game flowing but when you have a move planned, the wait is agonizing. You hope the opponent doesn’t buy/use your desired bldg or mess up your plans. I wish there were more players online.
But the AI not being that challenging and the limited set of buildings means it has a limited "shelf life." Unless you seek out online opponents, I suppose. Good while it lasts though.
While I'm not typically a mobile board game player, I have to say that I'm hooked in this title. It has everything I love in a board game: resource management, player interaction, action selection, and very elegant but deep strategic choices. Seriously considering purchasing the physical board game copy of the Inland port as well as the Le Havre game as well.
Great adaptation of the board game
We would very much like to see a longer timeframe to play. As gainfully employed adults, an async game that has an option for up to 2 weeks like "ticket to ride" suits us much better. We have bought the game, and would love to enjoy it, but the timeframe makes it impossible for us to do so. Can this be fixed?
An excellent implementation of a great 2-player board game.
The implementation quality is excellent, but be warned the game play is radically different than the boardgame. There are no harvests, no shipping, and the building set is identical each game. So if you are expecting a port of the boardgame you may be disappointed. Because the cards don't change the game is very repetitive. The accumulation and payment of resources is novel, but strange.
Digidiced is awesome. This game implementation is amazing. I've reported 2 bugs in my review, and they were addressed quickly. I can't seem to edit my original reviews, so I have to delete and recreate. The game is phenomenal now that you won't lose your local game if you press the wrong menu options. My only remaining complaint (which is a minor frustration) is the behavior on scrolling down columns of buildings: it can be a bit touchy. If you have buildings above the visible display, you get green arrows indicating you can drag it down to see the remaining buildings in a given column. If you drag too far in one sweep, it jumps back to the beginning. You have to gingerly drag it to make it to the top. I think a large swipe should just go to the top and stay. As it stands now, drag very slowly and you can get above the top, one slip and you have to release and drag again.
