Spacelings for Android
Will not run. Error message when I run it.
Crashes at startup. Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet 5.1.1.
I didn't think this game would work on my low end phone, looked to good :) And it is! works amazingly smooth, graphics are 5 stars.. I am glad i downloaded.Great job on the game it is epic!
Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean, error loading sprites so all I see is the splash screen. Quick update, someone told me it had been updated, yeah, now NOT compatible with Gnex / Jelly Bean - don't know which as the muppets don't inform you, this is still the "Launch version" according to the What's New tab.... obviously not as it has been updated.
I'm not sure why this is free. It feels like something I should be paying for! But the latest update says it is incompatible with my phone and won't let me download it. :( The previous version works fine.
I really like this game; it's lots of fun, and a brand new concept. It's unfortunate that it constantly crashed, and now after an update it won't even open. Waiting impatiently for an update.
Though I'm biased I will say Spacelings is quite addictive and works like a charm on my Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Test devices: Samsung Epic, Cyanogen 9 RC1 (Android 4) Viewsonic gTablet, TeamDRH ICS 1.2 (Android 4) Generic MK802, stock ICS (Android 4) ---- I somehow picked this up back in June when it first appeared in Appstore and then disappeared again. Glad to see it's back, as it's a great game. Like many other titles, Spacelings is coming over from the iOS platform, and HotGen and Devolver Digital has done an excellent job porting it. The graphics are excellent, right on par with the iOS version, and looking good on both large screen and small. The soundtrack and sound effects are well done, fitting the game in all aspects. The game itself is a fun puzzle type, with plenty of challenge as you increase in levels. Easily a great game for kids, but not so dumbed down that adults can't enjoy it equally. Controls are simple to use, and spot on. On neither device did I run into issues with spotty control, which would be a serious problem in a timed game. The only issue at all I ran into with this title was with the MK802, which refused to display the game in any usable form. Given the generic nature of the hardware involved, I'm chalking that up to the MK802 rather than the game itself.
