Reigns for Android
It's a fun game and great idea. The plot is good. The story itself makes sense, but scenarios dont tie into each other at all. And it would be cooler if there was more of an immediate story for the lives in addition to the overall plot of tricking the devil. That would keep it less monotonous. The achievements are lots of fun. The hidden bits and added cards are cool. It's a little buggy. I finished the game and tried to start a new one and it said I had already lived 2 lives. Overall its a good game with lots of replay value.
A very simplistic yet challenging game. Can be somewhat repetitive with the constant same cards, and some effects seem to have no apparent consequences. Finished the game with the third ending, some choices are far too consequential. It is truly difficult to reign for more than 20 years at a time unless you get lucky. Please implement more cards and scenarios so the replay value of this game is increased.
I think it was pretty fun, after a while you get tired of cheap, "Free to play" apps that are just a gimmick to get your money. This game was 3 bucks well spent, I've had lots of fun and a few adventures ruling... I've died young and I've died old... Quite proud of my most recent achievement of ruling for 48 years... Update: unlocked a lot more content, ruled for 100 freakin years and died of old age at 113... I wish there was some way to find a wizard that lets you become immortal... Maybe there is...
I like this game. It's unique and time consuming, but personally I'm getting annoyed because I suck at it. I haven't made it past 21 years as King and don't know what I'm doing wrong. When I think I'm making a right choice it's wrong, or something weird and random happens that screws me over. I've seen YouTubers get like 60+ years, so I know it's possible.
I don't normally take the time to write a review, but this game is absolutely worth it. I started playing and haven't stopped. Every decision you make has a consequence and it gives new perspective on text-based adventure games. The controls are super simple but the gameplay is challenging and I have yet to run into the same scenario. Overall, an excellent game and worth the price and more!
I would probably give 5 stars, but I got to about the 15th king or so earlier today, and it just set me back to the 6th. This is just kind of annoying considering I payed for the game and put time into it and now it's setting me back to half the progress I should have. If this could get fixed, I would say it's worth 5 stars even though it's a little pricy.
It's a fun game but sometimes the yes/no option doesn't make sense for what's written on the card so you're not sure how you're answering. Plus too many things drain your money. I really do like it though!
Reigns is a fun fantasy game where you play the game via cards that have two options in each scenario. You have to keep all four aspects of you kingdom: The Church, Your Funds, Your Military, and Your People in check with each other. You can't let one aspect completely deplete, or take over everything or you die.
I love this game and the art style used. I will admit though, it's annoying when I'm going for a long run, but never get a chance to end a crusade, or anything because I'm not given the card to start that transition. I often times accidentally start it, and then am stuck with it.
One of the most original game I've played on mobile. It's in the style of old text based adventure games but built for gamers with short attention spans. A must play for anyone who likes a quick game of fantasy and comedy!
Really fun game with a really simple mechanics. Games are short but varied there seems to be a lot more going on than meets the eyes. Art style gets things across nicely but they're nothing spectacular. Also causes my phone to overheat (though that may just be a summer/me problem) Overall neat game and worth 3 bucks.
This is a good choices matter game. It's a lot like Telltale but you don't have to press buttons. You also have to keep a watch on the feelings of four groups, making it like Dictator. It's a good mix of the best choices games in the gaming world
Super fun and addictive. I failed to trick the devil before his last visit but there's still so much to unlock and see. So many ways to die and I've only just hit the tip of the iceberg
Really fun game. You can pick it up and put it down easily which is great for playing on the move. I like the humour in the app - the weird birds and the old age debuff in particular. I would quite like to play a queen at some point though.
Reign is an entertaining story based game when you're forced to make good and bad decision simply by swiping right or left respectively. Despite the simple mechanic, the gameplay is complex enough to leave you thinking about every decision you make. Furthermore, Reign has some repetitive value as you'll encounter new NPC/things in every run of your game. For its genre, Reign is definitely a must have as part of your game collection.
I love the game a lot, it is one of the best games on the play store... But can someone help me? I want to restart the game, but there is no possible way to. I have deleted it and redownloaded it... It doesn't work... Can someone please help me?
Really fun game to play when you're bored or just procrastinating, the idea and mechanics are genius and the overall replayability of it will keep you hooked. Well worth the money and definitely one of the best purchases I've made on the play store! Seriously stop reading this review and buy it, it's so damn good.
Great game, requires thinking about decisions. Too bad my phone gets pretty warm while playing it and it doesn't seem to need that much processing power
Entertaining game. The only gripe i have is that some of the "questions" are somewhat ambiguous in nature. Not because of the lack of knowing what effect your answer will have, but because of the way the choices are grammatically presented. Other than that, i had fun playing it.
I was about to get a new high score. But then the black plague wiped out my population. All hope was lost. But then the jester gave me a choice to review the game to stay alive. 10/10 best review reward ever.
Light and fun with meaningful choices and mini-quests which ad new cards, characters, long term effects and sometimes more than one of those three. Easy to play in short sessions and still compete the life of a king. Fun enough to have you playing and laughing for longer sessions.
I'm so frustrated at this game. The game play is great, it's fun, but I can't play it anymore. It's no longer saving my progress. So every time I log in to the game, I'm repeating the same 58th King over and over and over again like a horrible loop
This is a fantastic swipe card game with humor and entertainment. I usually don't play mobile games but this has kept y attention and made me laugh well more than I thought it would. This game is a must buy.
Got filthy rich, threw a helluva party and died drowned in ale. 10/10 would get drowned again. But the control are too sensitive ad sometimes misclicks happen
Broken. The game refuses to turn any more cards over once they're dealt and due to the cloud save, I can't wipe data to reset it. Developer also doesn't respond to emails.
Repetitive after a while, first few days were fun. Quite some luck involved, sometimes there is little you can do to avoid dying. Also, I don't see how too much money would ruin the kingdom for example. In the end, not worth the money, 1 or 2 euro would be a more appropriate price.
Intriguing mechanic, fun gameplay, engaging story. Good for a quick play every now and again, very casual, no need to constantly check your phone. Been through few "lives" and haven't gotten bored yet.
Very fun. I keep dying but that's because I'm a bad king. Easy mechanics. Wished they would tell me if it increases or decreases my stats. Edit: never mind. You get upgrades along the way. Love this game even more
Before I bought the game I had to make a decision wheter it'll be worth my money or not. It turned out to be worth the $2.99 I paid. This game is fun yet challenging unlike a similar game called dictator 2. That game was horrible.
Extremely addictive, love it! Probably will get tiresome after a while, but I can see me playing this on and off for a while. I only wish there was a way to see my "family tree" or past kings or whatever.
Frustrating to figure out whether something will be affected positively or negatively at first, but soon becomes apparent that it's a mechanic to make you really think about your choices and who they will affect. A great challenge and lots of fun.
I liked this game up until the point where it decided to lose 500 years worth of progress. Devs, please consider saving continuously, then I would have lost 5 minutes of gameplay, not whole evening. I can not see myself returning to this now...
M'lord pigeons are your advisors, the church wants to assassinate you, and you're lost in a dungeon while your kingdom falls into chaos without your leadership. Oh well... Maybe the next will do better... Or worse...
This is one of the few games with a permanent place on my phone. Each play tells a different story and the developer has been pretty good with updates. You are the king of a medieval or Renaissance realm in every game and simply swipe left or right to make choices....sometimes with rather humorous consequences.
Very very nice game!! And i absolutely love card games too... just one thing for certain, how do i reset the game? I wanted my brother to try his out too from the beginning...
Funny, original and enough content for the price but sometimes it's really to vague on what's the effect on something. I know it's part of the game and it fits mostly but not always
Pros: Simple to understand. Good music. Great game to play for quick breaks. Doesn't require a whole lot of power from the phone. Cons: Wish there was a way to restart from the beginning rather than finishing the whole to do that.
My jester tricked me into coming here to rate the game. When I get back to my kingdom im gonna have him thrown in the dungeon to rot. Besides that good game.
This game really more fun that it may look. Your choices will always hang you on the balance of life or death. You really have to consider what you want to do, versus what you should do for your kingdom, and the length of your reign.

A game that requires you to invest in it, Reigns ended up being a thoroughly enjoyable experience. While the cards do repeat, the situation changes so you may find yourself needing to ban hats one time around, but not the other. Stylised graphics and a surprisingly fun fencing minigame creates a game which you can play anytime anywhere. 92/100
