Sheepshead

It's fun to play but don't use it for practice. There are an unusual number of no trick games which leads me to believe the deal isn't entirely random. Non picking team doesn't schmear when low Trump led by picking team.

The computer player's don't play like you would in a real game. First trick is call suit, it gets trumped. Spades is lead on second trick, partner trumps it with QC, and non picker/partner throws off her QS on that same trick, then plays a 9D on the thirds trick when trump was lead, them has 3 fail in her hands! Come on, at least make the game realistic!

Game is not anything like playing in person... too many times the weak side players hold the high queen for no reason causing a loss and often the picker chooses the player with the best hand to make a trickless

Ai needs a lot of work and rng is just plain screwy

Cards not random in tourn play. Computer players trump partner tricks after partner known.

Computer players need new programming. The comp ahead of me picked on jack of spades, jack of diamonds, king and 9 of diamonds and 2 fail. Happens numerous times and it results in the overall score being useless as it is in no way an indicator of how well I am actually playing. Very frustrating but I haven't found a better short time killer.

Updated review: Decided to give this app another try. Computer just passed in front of me with the queen of clubs, hearts and diamonds. Original review: I had 2 trump and 4 hearts on a force pick. On the third hand spades were led. I had my jack of clubs left and I could not play it. Made me play the heart in a jd game. Definitely not like real life situation. The computer players do not play the jd in front of the picker when they are cutting suits. That is one of the first things you are taught in sheepshead. Also, the computer players always lead themselves out of trump and the partner never leads the queen of clubs to start a game when they have it.

A simple but solid version of a classic card game. The AI occasionally makes mistakes but overall it is a strong effort. I have been playing it non-stop for days!

There's some bugs with the AI that could be fixed, but overall this is a pretty good sheepshead app.

I HATE the flashing ads!!!! Please remove them!

Overall nice app

The ai on your team hardly ever takes a trick making it very hard to win even when you do well. The way I play JD is partner and you call up to JH, JS, JC.

Anyone who played on Yahoo, this is way off

It's a lot of fun

The computer player's don't play like you would in a real game. The picker will throw out its QC and the other computer player's will play their lowest trump. Then the picker comes back with the JD and the computer player's will still play their lowest trump, instead of smearing. If they are out of trump, they'll play like a 7S, but still have an ace or ten in their hand! It's also unrealistic how many times the computer partner will have most or all of the trump the picker is missing.

You can't call sheepshead . And computers dont play realistically.

Love playing this game. Probably the best one I've played. My only complaint is that whatever programming is used for the computer to pick is flawed. The number of times I've had 3 queens and some jacks...and the computer picks on a single queen and something like the ace of diamonds...shouldn't work like that. It's even worse when you have to partner when the computer does that. Just happened again, I had 3 queens (spades, clubs, hearts) and 3 jacks

I found a bug and the game was updated very quickly. This is one of the best sheepshead apps I've downloaded.

The only drawback, I am not learning the game well.

Great way to stay in practice between playing with friends.

The developer is extremely responsive to bug reports and has continually added new features over time. I've killed lots of time playing this app - it never gets old because there are so many variants of the game supported

Game sucks. Was at 84 at one point and went down to 5 with not a hand to pick, and when playing leasters somehow amazingly lead would lay an 8 spades when I had 10, ace spades and one of other two would fail off with a ace or 10.

Can you please get the partner to quit taking tricks from the picker when they clearly shouldn't do it.

Same player more often than not has the Queen of Queens that you don't. When computer player bids and trumps in on a off suite round, it will use a 10 or ace of diamonds and almost always get the trick but user rarely does when bidding. Other things that are predictable too. Played several thousand hands of this to test it out. Still fun though!

So addicted. My husband is too. So close to the real game like we play in WI. I love that you can change the options. We play JD partner by us. Love it and it's free. You also don't need Internet to play. Only wish they would throw points better. Still great!

I was up like 140 then could not win a hand for three days. Seriously, how can it be fun if you don't get trump dealt for hand after hand. Uninstall!

Programming for opponents is alright at best. They play the worst fail cards and don't throw points very well. But, it is better than not playing at all.

More often than not it doesn't happen. Other than that I think it's fun and addicting good job!!I play the called ace version thank you for your app!!

You're forced to play the JD 1st if you have it. I picked without the JD & was forced to go alone? Played the ace of hearts & was beaten by another player who also played the ace of hearts?

Good game but crashes often after a short while. Frustrating

Bummer, love this game on my phone but touch control to start resume game wont work with my asus transformer tf300 tablet.

Yet another case of someone programming a game the have no idea how to play.

The AI players are terrible. Who schmears a winning trump trick lead by the picking team with the Ace of an unbroken suit when they also have a 7? A terrible player, that's who. My blood pressure can't tolerate that kind of nonsense.

It's 5 handed which is my favorite. But the app is buggy (though it doesn't prevent me from playing). For instance I picked and played alone and won. The 4 other players lost a point but I only gained 2. Maybe I don't know the rules very well but that's not how we score at home. There's other bugs I've noticed but again nothing to stop me from playing.
