DeckEleven's Railroads

Fantastic game, but there are a few points which crossed my mind. Firstly the dependency of having 'Hats' for completion of the hoger levels should be avoided. Easier and more interesting ways of earning the 'Hats' should be present. Secondly the rails are sometimes such constructed as if it is a rollercoaster rail. The design logic can be optimized. Thirdly, the trains are disproportionate with the surrounding structures, the size of the engine and the compartments can be made more realistic. Fourthly, more trains that can be purchsed by 'Game-cash' should be introduced. All said and done.... It's a wonderful game .... I enjoyed playing it.

Where has this game been all my life? There's so many games out there just to rip you off. This game just wants you to have fun playing it! I love everything about this game, especially finding out that as I level up cities their needs change and then I have to make changes to certain lines, add new routes, grow existing ones...simply put, I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

So I loved this game. I rarely buy IAP but I wanted to keep going so I spent the money. Now...I have almost 2 million hats left. So that's a bummer. I wish there was a sandbox mode or that you don't have to end the level. Or maybe a scenario generator. Also more advanced train configurations It does however heat up my HTC M10. But over all fun fun game.

It's a nice game, good to fill the hollow gap that my desire for Sid Meier's Railroads leaves me, but could do with some improvement. Maybe we could have a free mode that lets us choose what kinds of resources and features we want, perhaps trains as well? Nice cargo system, though the performance of some trains... Is underwhelming... To say the least... And how some of theme vary, it's somewhat irritating. Overall, will play for a while, or at least until I can buy Sid Meier's Railroads

In-app purchase rip off & other issues. NEVER RESTART a level. Cash is not refunded. Instead demolish all tracks/trains to get refund and start level over. Laying track over long distances is awkward. There are no warnings about potential crashes. Cash for crashed trains is NOT refunded so you WILL eventually have to put out real money. And if you do happen to reach the 4th or 5th level without any crashes, trains begin crashing for absolutely no reason.

Love this game, but on Norway nowhere to deliver nickel or oil?!? I see I'm not the only one with this problem... Also hats system is kinda broken. Please resolve (at least lvl problem) and I will be happy to give 5 stars!!!! Thanks guys and keep up the good work!

This game is awesome. However, when building a train, you can usually select an engine that charges Top Hats instead of money. If you click that locomotive, and then click back to the standard locomotive, you lose the Top Hats but don't get them back, even tho you didn't actually purchase the locomotive for the train. That really should be fixed. It would be a shame for someone to lose Top Hats that they bought with real money. It really does deserve 5 stars other than that.

The only thing this needs is a sandbox creator more after the player beats all the stages. I'd like to be able to create landforms, place resources, and have access to all the engines for maps I create. It would be nice to have the ability to share user-created maps, too.

I really want to love this game... The regular coin engines aren't just bad, they are useless and inconsistent. The same engine that cost 600 hats and was a heavy hauler in one mission is a slow, 3 car max pile of junk in the next. The signals work much better now, makes things a little better. Just so very limited in scope.

My hats disappear while i wromgly click any engine. Y my money is being charged even before i give done. Payment should be done only after i choose editing my train. Signals work good most the time.. but when thr is a crash... signals go green even b4 its cleared up, thus resulting in every train to to crash on the crashed trains..

Plenty of space between lights yet the trains keep crashing periodically. They get you interested in the game then make big goals forcing you to use hats to buy faster trains. Then they crash making you have to buy more hats to even complete the game. Not cool.

Allegedly free game: One mission requires you to use premium currency trains because regular locomotives are too slow to break even. Don't even bother unless you want to spend money on microtransactions.

It uses hats when you're choosing train cars if you even bump the train that costs hats while scrolling past. It also glitches on a train that hauled the first load of food successfully, but then runs back and forth empty the rest of there's round. If you're putting a bridge over existing track, the train below rams that new track and takes out four trains in the process. Needs more work.

The stop light function is too unreliable. Overall, it's too shoddy to be spending money on. It could have been a great game, but not enough effort was put into it.

Another Pay To Win (somewhat): After the first few levels, the trains you can buy with game currency are not good enough to make much profit. The profitable trains cost "Hats" (special currency), of which you get a small amount through beating levels - however this is not enough to keep you going. In order to advance through later levels you need to supplement your "Hats" by buying them with real money. I totally understand developers deserve to make money from their games, but I'm totally against the "Pay to Win" model. I would happily pay a license fee to buy the game, if this replaced the "Hats" required for good trains with regular game currency. But as it is now I won't play the game anymore because success depends largely on how much money I spend. Which is a shame because otherwise I think the game is pretty good. I hope this developer (and others) start to move away from "Pay to Win" and simply let users pay a set price to fully unlock the game.

Decided to try again after seeing the game had an update that included the lights being fixed. Its better. Not perfect, but atleast now i can finish the game over time while earning hats.

Tho I agree that you need to figure a lot of things out on your own, this game really brought out my 'inner logistics guy'. Some very enjoyable aspects, similar to the early Sim City titles, when, if you wanted to, you could watch your trains coursing throughout your city to make sure they were working right. Plus, you can re-play levels, which is key to getting better at it. Thanks.

I love this game it would be 5 stars if you didn't have to work so hard for the hats, also when your trains crash you can't restart the level and keep your hats once their gone their gone then you have to go back and beat the easy levels again to get more. You should be able to keep your hats if you restart the level and you should be able to unlock the better engines so you can actually beat the levels without having to spend the hats.

In the advanced levels where lights are required, sometimes trains ignore lights and crash. Twice trains have crashed with no other trains near. Otherwise, I like the game and live the challenge. Fix these problems and you get 5 stars.

This game is really good except that the IAP mechanism is basically pay-to-win and the trains that you buy with the IAP currency "Hats" are super OP. Seriously, the game is not even challenging with them. There needs to be a way to progressively unlock the higher level engines. On top of that, there is no option to simply buy the game. All of the IAP options are for a finite number of hats which, because they are REQUIRED to complete most of the levels, means that you are buying a finite number of plays.

Overall a great game to pass sometime. Completed the whole thing in about a week without paying. Many reviews claim you have to buy hats to complete it but you don't. You can go back and complete the earlier levels over again to increase the amount of hats you have for the later levels. I recommend the barcelona level. You get 350 hats for each completion and it only takes about 3 to 5 mins to complete.

Railroad Tycoon is still my favorite game I have ever played and this is as close of a tribute as I have seen. It is an honorable recreation of the classic, including maps inspired by old tycoon favorites. The gameplay is simple and intuitive, and very addictive. Now for the downside. I purchased the game so as to support the developers, but I also beat the whole thing in less than two days. Two Days!! And I still had 1.8 million "hats" left over. Please create a sandbox mode and more levels!!

Very addictive and fun game which I've played to the end. You can get a long way without paying. Only a single in-app purchase is necessary but it does make it a bit easy. I'd like a difficulty between nearly impossible and easy. Income/min is rather variable so you sometimes win unexpectedly without doing anything. It would also be fun to continue playing after the objectives are complete. With these improvements it would be perfect but still worth playing as it is.

I am completely enjoying this game played it for a few days now between doing other bits and a ambling along. Only problem is that once you get to the Norway level i can't see how im supposed to deliver nickel and oil when noone wants it?!?

This game is awsome! And the idea and game play are perfect! However I have bought £2.48 worth of hats and havnt yet received them! I thought originally I must of backed out before payment but have checked my bank statement to find I have been charged but still no hats! I would be giving you 5 stars but when money is involved I expect to receive what I paid for no matter how much the amount is! Please resolve!

This a good railroad game, you do need to buy hats to get past some of the later levels which is fine. However when I finished the game I had a ton of hats left. I didn't want to have to play he same levels again to waste them. It needs more levels or a random level generator to add longevity to the game.

Maybe only one of its kind, and very playable. There is a bug - I cannot get my 5000 hats after completing the tutorial (saw this after few games after the completing it). Also wish it has more maps and other nice features like in Sid Maurs Railroads for PC ;). Anyway, very good game.

Very addictive game. But the game updated, then crashed. Having to start all over if my back up doesn't work. There are some things missing that we l could make this game really great. Tutorial & one big empire. Purchase trains and build your empire. Income sheet. What's making $ and what's not. Ability to drive the trains on their routes. Either, I love the game.

Great simulator lots of fun, would love a sandbox mode or a level creator. Last level was a little easy, hat grinding was tedious but doable. No refund for mistakes when you hit the wrong train was a hard lesson a couple of times. Can't wait for more levels or a follow up!

I enjoyed playing this game very much. Even though trains sometimes crashed unexpectedly, it didn't effect my enjoyment. Once I got the hang of the signals the game became much easier to play. However, I completed all of the levels fairly quickly and its a bit boring to repeat them. Once you have completed all of the levels there is no way of knowing which level you last replayed which is irritating.

Besides this game having too many glitches. It does not work anymore on my phone. The hats are not refundable if you purchase the wrong train. I have a big issue with this. I emailed the support team twice and have not gotten a response.

The game is challenging and very much close to reality... I mean the situations..... though some levels are tough and hard to complete but still I like it.... I want some little upgrades in the game like in graphics and sound and I will give full stars... and thanks to the dev.

It's a good game except that you have to buy hats in order to finish the game. Once you get to Norway, you have to use a hat to win. Then you can get by until Kenya. Then you have to use hats to finish. And then buy more hats. Would be nice to be able to buy the better engines with cash earned but maybe at a more substantial price. Not everyone can afford to do the iaps. Made it to Kenya, now will be uninstalling. Can't afford to buy hats.

For no reason the trains blow through the lights and crash. I spend my hats on train updates to try to pass a level and they get wiped out. No hats not fast train no pass level. If that was fixed I'd buy this game

Good game, well layed out in most respects. Will need to spend cash to complete but it's not too pricey. There are some glitches though. You'll lose trains randomly and get magical crashes sometimes when you reload the game. Other than that its worth a go. I enjoyed it.

I had to reinstall this app on my new tablet. Then I had to purchase more hats because the hats you previously had can't be transferred over. Please can you fix this so I can get what I paid for

Quite fun so far. I'm only six episodes in so there might be a wall ahead but for now I like it. I do wish money would carry over from mission to mission. I don't like how the mission ends immediately after completing the objectives. After all that work it would be nice to sit and watch your bustling transport empire make money to use in future missions.

Impressive game, but it saps my battery life like it's going out of style. You can replay levels to get more hats, thankfuly, becuse you out right need the hats to win some of the middle levels. I'd give it a full 5 if it whernt a battery killer, becuse otherwise this is exactly what I look for in a train game.
