*What is “The Charming Empire”?
“The Charming Empire” is a dating simulation game set in the Taisho Roman era of Japanese history.
Each scenario is fully voiced, featuring the work of voice actors such as: Tetsuya Kakihara, Toshiki Masuda, Takuya Eguchi, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Kenjiro Tsuda and more.
Teikoku Kaleido’s detailed and gorgeous artwork is illustrated by Mitsuya Fuji, who currently creates artwork for other mobile games and CDs.
*Story
Our heroine, Amane Kosaka, was living a simple yet happy life in the countryside until one day she was suddenly taken away to live in the empire, summoned by her brother Soshi Amazaki -- the current ruler. Though she was unaware of the underlying circumstances, she finds herself brought to this lively and palpable central city.
Living in the immaculate royal palace, our heroine comes to learn that the empire might not be as joyful as it seems.
Her brother is no longer the gentle man she once knew...
A corrupt organization secretly runs things behind the scenes...
The heroine’s fate guides her down the path of love.

The captive former prince
Kei is the heroine’s private tutor.
The prince of a fallen country, he is now a captive of the empire.
Perhaps because of those circumstances, he treats the heroine harshly.

It was good up until i purchased the brothers story soshi i think and now it won't let me even open the game at all if i could please get a refund because i can't play the game it won't let me open the app after my purchase

It was a good read. I've only bought Soshi's (and possibly Kei in the future) but try not to start with Soshi as your first route, as a suggestion. Don't be like me and get stuck in a ship.

the sound is cracking, include the cv bgm I already download full voice, it just sound 1 sec and disappear very disappointed, the art is very good but maybe I'll drop it no cv and bgm

$6.50 for each character (16 chapters) was a bit more than I'm used to but since the art was gorgeous and they had good voice acting, I was happy to pay the price. I bought Soshi's route to try out the game first and I have to say aside from the CGs and such I'm actually somewhat disappointed. The story felt rushed and plot just kept jumping out of nowhere at times. Spoiler but the heroine is jealous of Soshi one second, wants to get closer to him in another and then tries to poison him then back to wanting to get closer to him again. Overall, I'm a sucker for the art and voice so I would recommend this (especially the character packages) but it didn't live up to my expectations for it.

Absolutely love this story. Just read one route so far but after reading the prologue, I did spend the $25 for all five ($6-$7 per route otherwise). It's about 75% voiced in the Japanese language (wish Americans did this and made English voiced novels) to include minor characters as well. I don't regret the purchase. REQUESTED IMPROVEMENTS - 1) Enable screen rotate. 2) Fast Forward button, Skip Button, and/or chapter selection....App does crash every once in awhile but I just updated as of writing this review. THANK YOU! This rivals my opinion of Voltage and Shall We Date, especially in graphic and story quality.
