Shogi Free - Japanese Chess for Android
Good app
I like it alot. The cpu moves very fast though. I wish it took less time to think since I can use that time to think as well as I would irl. As a beginner it is hard to keep up with instantaneous moves.
The English is a bit... Off. Explanations can get a little hard to understand because of it.
It's a really good game to help beginners learn how to play shogi because the moves that each piece can take is highlighted as soon as you tap on the piece on the board.
Simple and smooth. This is my first time playing shogi and the clean layout and gameplay makes it easy to focus on the learning curve instead of bugs. Good job.
It's great the cpu is really a challenge
Just learning and getting into Shogi, don't have an issue knowing what peice is which, proably since im learning Japanese. There is one small thing i noticed, im working my way up the Ai's and they seem to value promoting a peice too much, atleast 1-3 idk about the higher up ones. They will place a pawn and then promote it only to be taken and then do the same thing over again.
Adds are way too intrusive... in addition to the persistent add at the buttom, you have to watch a 30 second ad everytime you want to retract a move.
真好的将棋遊戏。我很喜欢。但是英语版的翻译有几个错了。
It's not bad but can be a bit tricky to smoothly move a piece
It can be quite hard telling which piece is which at times, but it is an enjoyable game nonetheless.
It is fantastic
good.
Really great game. One of the best shogi AI systems I've seen.
It very good
very good!
Fun. Shougi with the comp or hand off to a friend for a nice game of shougi. The layout is great I like how they have a 1,3, and 5 move mate to sharpen your skills and fun way to pass time. The graphics are good not beautiful or anything but you don't need all that. Well made and it's free.
I already know how to play so I don't know how good the tutorial is. I'd say ai difficulty is fairly balanced. Great for playing one of the best board games ever.
The game is fun and I like the challenges but I don't like how if I start the game I have to finish it or else it's a loss, and I wish I could handicap myself to make the game more dynamic
I loved it. A little bit of grammar mistakes but manageable. I just installed it and I didn't know how to play shogi then but now I know how to. Thanks!
The first couple levels I merk the ai. Level 3, I get it pushed in bro. Totally pushed in.
I love shogi and didn't know there was an app like this, this makes being able to play the game so much more fun and easier than other online versions.
I enjoy this game. Since I am such a beginner, I would really like it if I could click on a piece and see what it is and where it should be able to move to (even the opponent's piece). I like being able to see the legal moves but it would be more helpful if I could click on the piece to see what it is and and what that piece's normal moves should be.
Quite hard for beginners but you will get the hang of it
Good job! This is the best app to play shogi
Do in-app purchases remove the ads? It would be worth it to me. Thanks for making it!
It is a good game
I'm playing Shogi on my phone, what more could I want?
Its fun, I really enjoy it. Like it better then Western chess.
This game is soooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!
Liked it
It freezes when I'm winning. And count it as a loss when I close it (because it's frozen and don't finish thinking the next move for more than 7 min).
Super slow, and i won at first move and I don't know why.
Translation like from Google, but I am thankful anyway. It's very good game.
Uses up my battery quickly, and runs hot on my phone.
Lots of ads but good version of shogi!
I don't read or understand Japanese but once I figured out which buttons to press to play and to switch levels there really isn't a lot more to know. The gameplay itself is smooth and the graphics clean. I do wish I could figure out how to turn off the music and take back a move.
People keep saying "it's in Japanese I can't understand it." The game is literally called Japanese chess
Level 5 above AI thinking too slow!
