Battle Squadron

Joystick lag makes it impossible to avoid bullets and the enemy. X2 screen controls have no lag, but your finger covers the actual playing area. Controls need rethinking.

OK game and a perfect port, but the major flaw is the fact that the missile buttons are in a very bad location, in the bottom of the screen on both sides and when you swipe your ship around one's fingers will constantly hit the missile buttons by accident. Please relocate the missile buttons. ***update*** just couldn't get past the controls, did a refund and uninstalled. Controls can make or break a good game.....

Consider an audio mix option so we can lower the effects and pump the music

Holy crap, yes! Just how I remember it on Amiga. Love the music. I had a ringtone before I knew this was released. For years I owned the Genesis version. Glad to see/hear it again.

Brings back some memories, intense game, great on headphones. Fantastic blast from the past.

Recreates the original experience. This was my favorite Amiga game, and the devs have not disappointed with this conversion. My only concern is the finger tracking seems a little off on my Nexus 7.

I had this as new on the Amiga. Love it still, but a little too easy to beat. Would still highly recommend to those who remember it originally.

Missed this one back in the Amiga days, but wow! Very solid gameplay. Better than most shooters today. Well worth the coin.

The control method is great, one of very few action games I actually enjoy playing on mobile. Otherwise this game is the old Amiga game, the same graphics, audio and music which is fantastic.

I am an EMT so I spend a lot of time standing and waiting in hospitals. Great time killer. Not all the flash of today's modern games but a great back in the day arcade game. Idk how much it usually is but can't beat a dollar for this game. I have N.O.V.A. 3 and Modern Combat 3 yet I still end up playing this game most.

A perfect conversion from the Amiga version by the original authors themselves. Really fun to play. Destroy the Barrax empire (again)!

This is definitely a good shooter and it's bringing back memories of the days I still consider to be the golden age of computing. Even though this is an older game it holds its own with newer shooters and I recommend it for anyone who is a fan of the genre. The only suggestion I would have would be an in-game volume adjustment. It seems extremely loud compared to other games and I end up having to adjust my phone volume directly which screws up the volume I set it at for everything else. Otherwise it's very good.

Never thought that porting an Amiga game to Android may keep the play-ability and atmosphere of original version, but its possible. They did a excellent job porting Battle Squadron to Android, it plays like a charm. Happily the developers decided to keep the game free of 'In App Purchases' and Ads, so you really get a full game without limitations for your money. Unfortunately there a some points preventing it being perfect: - There is no save state. If you exit the game you have to restart the next time you play. Fortunately the game pauses if you switch tasks, so you have to keep the game in background if you want to continue it later. - Please add local high-scores in addition to open feint. I want to compare my score only with the score of my brother (or my own progress) and not with the hole community and I'm not always online while playing. Nevertheless, great game! Btw. Developer answers eMails quite fast, so 5 Stars.

If only other Amiga titles were apps like this. The attention to details like polished control options, music jukebox, display options, achievements, not to mention simultaneous 2 player on tablets make this a delight. Thank you so much for reviving my favorite Amiga shmup! Looking forward to this company (hopefully) doing many more games like this!

This was one of my all time favorite Amiga games and the Android version is great. One of my favorite soundtracks too.

The game itself, the port from the Amiga, is superb. But what is around the game is not that great... Why when you are playing the phone vibrates always? You cant save the game to continue later. It is very common for the game to reset your settings. Even when you say no sound, it still does sound here and there. It keeps giving the same achievements over and over again...

Loved this game first time round on the Amiga. Still fantastic today. An essential purchase for all shoot em up fans!
